Not a movie for those that want action action action. It all takes place in a car. I for one thought it's a fantastic performance by Hardy. Amazing way how the story is revealed throughout.

Tom Hardy is without a doubt becoming one of our generations "IT" actor. He was the sole reason I wanted to see this movie and yet again he delivered. He drives the movie in every way. I don't want to get too much into the story as not to spoil any of it, but basically its him in a car the whole night involving a series of phone calls that begins to unravel his life. Consequences. The premise was original and refreshing. I thought it could of been a tad longer and the ending they could've went a different route as well in my opinion. Regardless, a great movie driven, literally, by Tom Hardy!

I wouldn't exactly go out recommending this movie to anyone. If Tom Hardy came up in conversation I would ask if they have ever seen this movie. If they answered "no" I would say give it a shot. However if you are not a fan of his work this movie could be incredibly boring. It focuses on his multiple telephone conversations while on a road trip. That's it. you literally only see Tom Hardy in this movie, no one else. He is in a car for 99.7% of the movie.

    Brilliant Thriller

Cemented (no pun intended...see the film...) by a spellbinding, tour de force performance from Actor of the Moment Tom Hardy, Steven Knight's brilliant existential drama Locke is nerve-rackingly intense, fully absorbing and completely unpredictable, due in no small part to the narrative conceit of the entire film taking place from the interior of a car. Confined to the driver's seat of his BMW SUV, Hardy gives an all-stops-out performance – this guy is the real deal, seemingly capable of any role that’s asked of him, always able to elicit sympathy no matter how ragged the character, going from subtle to big at the drop of a hat. The dreamy, artsy cinematography by Haris Zambarloukos leaps off the screen in the Blu-ray format; it’s London-street-lamp-at-night-gorgeous, with reflections and window patters dotting the 2.35:1 widescreen space. Because the story is delivered via a series of desperate phone calls that Hardy is having with a variety of people, there’s always the question of how realistic can this scenario play out. But because Knight is so strong with his words and so precise with his visuals, the film becomes more than just a trick-stunt – it’s one of the best movies of the year.

This is a more serious role for Tom Hardy and a departure from his previous action flicks. You see a character go through an internal struggle and make a choice that will effect his future. Slow start at first great ending.

This film is pretty unique. It's an interesting and suspenseful drama about one man's life completely changing over the course of a couple hours. I can't say I've ever seen another film quite like this one.

I'm a big fan of Tom Hardy, and he delivers another great performance in this movie about a night gone horribly wrong for one man in his car. Doesn't sound all that compelling, but it really is.

For a movie that takes place in one setting, this is one of the best. Tom Hardy is excellent and riveting. What's more impressive is the tangible suspense that is created through pure dialogue. Despite the faults of the main character and his tribulations, you will still find yourself rooting for Locke.

This is a different take on a 'suspense - thriller drama' type of movie. I have to say that Tom Hardy was an excellent choice for this role... Excellent Job! Intriguing movie. It showed how 'one' decision you make could actually totally impact your life going forward and cause so many other things to be changed in ways you didn't realize! You really feel for him as he is trying to handle all the things going on. The movie is worth watching!

The movie follows the lead actors drive to a place. On this drive he makes many phone calls and with each call his situation unravels. It's Tom Hardys performance which keeps the movie going, he is determined to right his wrongs. Great performance but the movie never really goes anywhere and you're left wondering what did you just watch and why.

The movie was pretty good but it may be boring to some. The whole movie takes place in a car and Tom Hardy is the only actor you see. While this does show what a great actor he is, it is also very different from what you may have come to expect from him.

In "Locke", Tom Hardy once again takes us on an emotional roller coaster, where he battles with his conscience between his own personal demons and a work situation, that the success of depends solely on his experience and expertise. Lock yourself in, and spend 83 minutes totally emersed into an incredible, intense story.
