My wife loves the look of a cozy fire, especially during Fall and Winter. I'd been thinking about getting a fireplace like this for sometime, but I didn't know if she'd be happy with it. I went ahead and bought this for her Mother's Day gift. She was very happy with the way the Galway looked, and really liked she could set items on top. The cord wasn't long enough for where she wanted to set, so I looked in the User's Guide. It gave the specs an extension cord needed in order to be used with the Galway. After getting the extension cord we finally got to turn the fireplace on. The option of having just the flames or flames and heat is great. She turned it on for flames only, and let out a big sigh of enjoyment. The flames and glowing embers looked as though you were seeing an actual wood burning fireplace. My wife really loves the Lofty-Galway Freestanding Fireplace. She turns the flames on every night, and says it helps her relax after a long day of work.
