The A20X headset feels lightweight and comfortable on my head. The compact design sports a flexible detachable boom mic, RGB lighting on both cups, and multiple connectivity options. Wireless options include a Lightspeed USB dongle or Bluetooth. The headset can also be used tethered via USB. The headset is compatible with Xbox, Windows, Switch and PS5. It can also connect to mobile devices through Bluetooth. The ear cups feature a wireless connection button, Bluetooth button, volume rocker, power switch, mic mute button, and two user sound mode buttons. All buttons are easily findable and accessible during wear.
The Lightspeed wireless USB dongle is larger than the typical small USB pluggable format. It plugs into a USB-A port on the device and has two separate USB-C output ports for Xbox/USB and PC/USB. Either port can be used for Switch or PS5. Status LEDs indicate which connectivity option is in use. The headset also works through Bluetooth, which I was able to easily connect to my PC using the cup mounted Bluetooth button. Both the dongle and Bluetooth have been reliable on console and PC with no noticeable latency nor loss of connectivity during gameplay. The headset can also be paired with multiple devices and quickly switched as needed.
Sound quality on both Xbox Series X and a Windows gaming PC is great. The drivers have good clarity and volume. Bass is acceptably deep, and treble and mid are sharp and clear. Sounds are nicely isolated during gaming with distinct background and foreground separation that helps add to the overall immersive effect. Sound effects are accurately reproduced and sound realistic compared to real-world counterparts. Music sounds fantastic as well and can be enjoyed without compromise. There is no ANC but the cups block out a decent amount of environmental sound. However, if the environment is loud, it will bleed through. Mic quality is excellent. Remote parties say I sound clear and a voice recording playback confirmed this. My voice is clear, decipherable and has good volume. The detachable mic is flexible and has a red LED indicator that illuminates for visual confirmation when the mic is muted.
Comfort is excellent for the most part. It is lightweight and never feels heavy or hot during wear. The soft foam padded cups mostly stay cool and have good breathability, but do get lukewarm occasionally. Never warm enough to be uncomfortable but warmer than the other areas of my head. The foam lined top headband is also comfortable and adjustable. I have a large round 7¾ hat size head and the headset fits me perfectly, even when wearing my thick or thin frame glasses with the headband at the default largest size.
Battery life has been solid so far. I’ve been gaming off and on for several hours at a time over several days with the RGB enabled and haven’t had to recharge the headset yet. The headset recharges via USB-C when necessary.
The G20X is a great midrange headset. It’s not quite as robust as its bigger sibling Pro X2 headset, but is a very nice and capable headset at a friendlier price point. It’s perfect for most home gaming needs and our household has had good success with Logitech Lightspeed G series headsets the past 5+ years. My daughter refuses to use any other brand or model after finding the “perfect” G series headset years ago. I’ve purchased it twice for her so far and it gets extremely heavy use every day. It almost never leaves her head when she's home but it has proven durable and worthy of the task.
There may be some short-term early adopter pains because this headset is so new. For example, I mention the two mode buttons above in a generic manner because I have no clue what they do or whether they even work yet. There is zero online documentation available for this headset at the moment. Scanning the QR code inside the box currently returns a 404 page not found error. The headset also won’t connect to the G-Hub application because the software doesn’t detect the headset when I plug it in. I am unable to find any additional support options or software for this specific headset, but that should obviously change after the official rollout. Aside from the currently limited support options, I have no complaints with this headset and I like that it can connect to any of my devices. I’m accustomed to being forced to choose specific headsets for Xbox or PS5. It's great to have one that can seamlessly switch between the two consoles.

The Logitech Astro A20X is a straightforward yet capable gaming headset that delivers both style and performance. Its bold, minimalist design features a simple adjustable headband, lightweight build, and soft earcups with customizable multicolor RGB lighting through Logitech’s G-Hub software.
The detachable 48kHz microphone is slim, includes a red LED when muted, and performs well for in game chat. This headset works either with the dedicated Lightspeed transmitter or via Bluetooth, and it’s compatible with PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile devices.
The setup is quick and simple, just plug the Lightspeed receiver into a USB port on your chosen platform, set the selector, and you’re ready to go.To use it with mobile devices, just pair it over Bluetooth. On PC, you’ll need the G-Hub software for extra customization, though at the time of this review, the software didn’t yet support this model. The left earcup has the power switch, volume rocker, Bluetooth pairing button, mute button, and USB-C charging port. On the right side it has the Playsync button for switching between devices, plus the game/voice balance control.
The headset is very comfortable, with soft earcups that block out noise well. Sound quality is excellent, offering deep bass and clear audio. The microphone captures voices clearly, though it can pick up more background noise than desired. The lightweight design makes it easy to wear for hours without discomfort. You might notice some warmth at the beginning, but it becomes comfortable as your ears adjust.
Battery life is rated for 90 hours, the headset easily lasts for days of gaming without needing a recharge. After several days of moderate use, I still had more than 65% battery left.
One detail I especially appreciate is the power switch, far more convenient than the press and hold buttons found on many other headsets. It’s a small change, but one that makes everyday use much easier. I also appreciate some of the buttons like the Playsinc button to be color coded which makes it simple to identify.
Overall, the Astro A20X is an excellent headset with strong audio performance, wide compatibility, and an impressive 90-hour battery life. With customizable RGB lighting, a lightweight build, and easy to use controls, it’s a great value for gamers. In the box you get the headset, USB-C to USB-A charging cable, Lightspeed receiver, and quick start guide.

Included- The A20 Lightspeed headset, Boom mic, Playsync base, 2x- USB-C to USB-A cables
The Astro A20 Lightspeed Wireless headphones is a great gaming headset. First of all, the comfort and fit are designed well. The headset is very lightweight at just over half a pound. With option of it being wireless, you have the freedom to sit and game where you want since you're tethered with a wire. But there is the option to play while wired with the USB C cable that is included depending on your gaming needs. The battery life boasts up to 40 hours.
The Astro A20 Lightspeed Wireless headphones offers a few ways to customize your headset for the best experience. You can customize the colors for a personalized look. The 8 zone LIGHTSYNC design on the headphones is fun and cool. You're trule able to rock your own style. The 48 kHz high-resolution detachable microphone is a bendy, pliable arm that is easy to adjust in and out, up or down. I like that there is a small red light so you know the mic is on. You can also customize the audio on the headset using the G Hub and G Mobile app. I found the sound with 40 mm PRO-G Audio Drivers to be clear and crisp.
One great feature of the Logitech G Astro is that it will sync to two different gaming systems. It is compatible with PS 5, Xbox X, Xbox S, Nintendo Switch and Windows. So you all you have to do simply tap a button and it will switch to the other gaming device you have the headphones paired with.
One drawback I personally see is the size of the headset does not adjust enough for me. There's just two settings and switching the comfort band to one or the other is hard to believe that it's universal in size to fit everyone. While the suspension band is very comfortable and keeps the plastic off your head, I wish the size could be adjsuted more. The ear cups are large and completely cover my ears without pressing into my head and bothering them. I don't like a smashed ear, especially over a long time period.
The Logitech G Astro A20 X LIGHTSPEED is a great headset to own. They're very comfortable and offer customization which I appreciate.

I recently got the Logitech G Astro A20 X LIGHTSPEED wireless headset and I’ve been thoroughly impressed with its performance across my PS5 and Xbox Series X. Setup was a breeze—plugging the PLAYSYNC base into each console allowed seamless switching between systems with a single button press, eliminating the hassle of swapping cables. This feature alone makes it a standout for multi-platform gamers.
The audio quality is exceptional, delivering crisp, immersive 24-bit wireless sound. In games like Call of Duty, positional audio cues like footsteps are precise, while open-world titles like Spider-Man 2 showcase booming, dynamic soundscapes. The detachable boom mic offers clear voice capture for team chats, with no noticeable background noise, or that’s what I’m told by my friends I’m online with, and the flip-to-mute functionality works well
Comfort is another strong suit. Weighing 290 grams, the headset feels light during extended sessions, and the breathable fabric headband and cushioned earpads prevent fatigue or overheating, even after hours of play. Battery life is equally impressive, offering up to 90 hours without RGB lighting (around 40 with it enabled), meaning I’ve only needed to charge it once in a week of heavy use.
The design is sleek but understated, resembling Logitech’s G Pro series with a professional, minimalist aesthetic. The customizable RGB lighting (with 16 million color options) adds a touch of personalization to match my setup, though the overall look leans more functional.
at roughly $180, the A20 X LIGHTSPEED delivers outstanding value with its cross-platform versatility, stellar audio, and long-lasting comfort. I’d rate it a solid 9/10 for gamers seeking a reliable, high-quality wireless headset. Highly recommended.

The Logitech G Astro A20X Gaming headset is a multi-system headset, Xbox, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC/Mobile.
First off, these Astros A20X feel very lightweight, unlike its bigger and much more expensive brother A50s. I have used the A50s and its multiple iterations and updates over the years. This pair of Astro A20X draws inspiration design from the G552 Lightspeed design almost to an identical match just with the ear cup casings squarer. The comfort band to the earcups and the mic boom design felt very similar. While this isn’t bad, the design makes the Astro experience very enjoyable while being very lightweight and doesn’t cause pressure points like the A50X quarter pad design.
SOUND
Sound is where this is different and amplifies the traditional Astro experience while leveraging the Logitech sound reproduction legacy. The A20X comes packed with 40mm bio-cellulose drivers that reproduce a much more detailed sound experience, that doesn’t feel or sound fake or artificially influence. The tones have a decent bass while the MIDS and HIGHS are clear straight out of the box. This I say puts it in line with other high-fidelity brands. I messed around with some profiles and tweaked my curves and the headset responded very positively. In COD6 and warzone, the sounds were very accurate in the sense I could pinpoint a shot in correct direction and hearing footsteps in the final circle were crucial for winning.
The result from the sound tests I did across the PC and Xbox found that lower frequency sounds were accurately reproduced in the high-fidelity state with zero distortion. This included the bass which came across natural and not overpowering while still producing accurate tones thanks to its 39 Ohms impedance.
MIC
The Microphone really shined thanks to its omni directional microphone design. The frequency response ranged from 20Hz-20Khz, which in contrast is such a very broad range of detecting tones. Overall, in Discord and in game chats my friends said it sounded like I was in a studio as it was crystal clear and didn’t have any connection issues even when I walked outside to grab a box, they heard me, and I heard them. This speaks to the quality of the lightspeed wireless from Logitech built in through its USB Bluetooth 5.3 technology. Its just crystal clear and works.
BATTERY LIFE
The advertised battery life is 90 hours with zero RGB or 40 hours with RGB. I personally didn’t use the RGB, yet I did test the RGB in the app and was able to get the desired colors to match the rest of my RGB in keyboard mouse and PC.
The battery life I tested over the 5 days was true to its word; I had over 60 hours of gaming and left them on overnight playing YouTube videos. The headset still had power and was ready to go, so the 90 hours life is accurate. Once I placed them on charge it was only a few hours later they were fully charged again.
SWITCHING
Device switching was pretty simple with the two system PLAYSYNC audio by just pressing the playsync button. The module for this process was straight forward and worked well. I didn’t have any de-syncing issues when I swapped between the Xbox and PC.
Overall
The Logitech G Astro A20X Gaming headset is a gamechanger in how it has combined some of the best features and elevated the ASTRO and Logitech experience by combining the lightspeed technology with the multi-use Astro experience. Although you only get two preset system switching ( one less than the Astro A50X) the cost savings and value from sound features make this a top tier choice for gamers looking for the best Audio experience available.

Logitech’s Astro A20 X is a versatile addition to Logitech’s Astro gaming headset lineup. These combine a great set of features together that blend the Astro DNA and Logitech’s clever engineering.
When Logitech acquired the vaunted Astro gaming headset brand back in 2017, they bought into the console headset space where before they’d been mostly associated with PC gaming headsets. Ever since that time, Logitech has been bringing Astro branded headsets in closer alignment with the rest of their PC gaming headsets, while console manufacturers have been aligning their headsets closer to normal USB devices. The Astro A20 X is an update to the existing Astro A20 that brings dynamic lighting control, and probably the most inputs I’ve ever seen on a headset.
The build quality of these headphones is pretty top notch. Like most Logitech devices of recent vintage, the plastics are creak free. These feel solid with fingerprint free plastics and soft touch materials all around. The headband is a little weird, with a lot of flexibility while also appearing to be 100% plastic. I’m not sure how this works, as I am always worried about plastic cracking, but again, these feel quite solid. The foam pads are generous and quite comfortable. You can wear these for hours in comfort.
Button wise, there are a ton on this headset, but they all make sense. On the left ear, you have a power switch implemented as a flush slide to avoid accidental turn offs. A bluetooth input button exists below that, then a volume control. Below the volume is a microphone mute, and there is a red LED to let you know the mic is muted. On the very bottom is the USB-C port then the detachable flexible microphone. On the other ear, you have an input switch button and two quick equalizer buttons that swap between chat and game emphasis.
Let’s talk through the connectivity. In the box you get a receiver which has two USB-C ports, and two switches for modes. This box is the lightspeed connector, and it along with the two USB-C cables lets you connect this headset to two USB inputs. I tested my PC, PS5 and switch consoles. Each worked flawlessly and I love having the ability to connect this two multiple devices wirelessly. Besides the lightspeed connector, the A20 X has bluetooth as well, so you can swap over to your phone and have a conversation on the headset as well. If that wasn’t enough, the USB-C port on the headset isn’t just for charging; yes, you can plug it in for a USB wired headset as well.
This connectivity diversity makes this such as versatile headset for both home use (leave the lightspeed connector connected) and also for travel. You can take a USB-C to USB-C cable and connect up to your Nintendo Switch on the plane, and also use it for music via bluetooth without skipping a beat.
The microphone’s ability to easily unplug and store away also is a nice touch. This reduces the moving parts of the headset and makes it easier to pack this in a bag without worrying about the microphone getting damaged.
Speaking of the microphone, its quality is pretty decent. I did several recordings and even talked with a few friends (I haven’t done too much online gaming as of late, so just a couple calls). While it’s no Blue mic, it’s quality is above average. The software has multiple equalizers for the mic, so you can dial in a balance and effect that suits what you want to sound like. I preferred “broadcaster 2” on PC. I don’t believe these can translate to the consoles, but the default sound is still quite good.
The software is accessible through Logitech's G Hub. This works with connected via the light speed receiver (with the switch on ‘PC’ for USB-1, or connected directly via USB-C). This is pretty flexible software and really lets you customize the headset. From lighting (which can be custom, or set to sync with Windows), to equalizers, the software lets you control the headset very thoroughly. Both mic and headset equalizers have 10 bands, and the software lets you dial in the exact frequency and gain at each both through a graph and digitally. Sharing equalizers is also possible, as they can be listed on the community site. The software has come a long way from its initial release and seems solid and stable.
Hidden in the software under settings is a ‘Get an extra life’ link. In this section, Logitech explains how it wants your product to last a long time and to prevent ewaste it links to replacement parts and services (including recycling). From day one, logitech has an orderable battery replacement kit, as well just the battery itself if you already have the tools. I think this is a huge and laudable activity for Logitech, showing both a commitment to quality and replacement parts. Avoiding headset e-waste and building these to last long enough to need a battery replacement is amazing.
Speaking of battery, the battery life is pretty good. Logitech rates it 40h with lighting on, and 90 without. While I didn’t spend 40h gaming, I found that with the lights on it’s not too bad. Logitech has a decently sized battery here, and the headset could easily last a work week for most people.
Sound quality wise, the Logitech Astro A20 X sports 40mm drivers. These sound similar to other headsets from Logitech. I’ll say they seem more refined than other implementations though, able to solidly hit low notes without distortion. The volume on these seems lower than the peak volume I’d like, but they do get decently loud. Like most cans, they lack sound stage and airyness. This is certainly no audiophile level quality, but for a gaming headset with some music usage, they’re pretty good. Noise isolation though the thick padding is fairly effective, but these do not have noise cancelling, so your mileage may very using these in loud environments.
Overall the A20 X is a great update and evolution to the Logitech Astro A20 series of headphones. These are flexible, well made, sport a decent battery, great software, a plethora of inputs and look pretty nice as well. If you’re looking for versatility and one headset to solve your PC, gaming, and calling needs, this is a great unit. Highly recommended.

I've used a large variety of gaming headsets over the years. Several from Turtle Beach, Corsair, HyperX, and a couple from those drop shipper brands on other sites, one from Logitech before these. All of them have had some issues - bad battery, poor connection distance, poor microphone quality, heavy, etc. The headset I used before getting these, the Corsair HS80s, had a lot of issues, and I was eager to replace them.
The Logitech Astro A20Xs surprised me in just about every way. The battery life on them has been excellent - despite being on voice chats for hours a day more often than not, I only have to charge them once every few days, and that's with the RGB lights on (more on those later). I've been told the microphone quality is excellent. The sound quality is fantastic. The options for switching between different devices with the push of a button is very convenient and it works great!
I should mention that they're very lightweight, so I don't get fatigue after wearing them for too long. They stay on my head quite well, despite that. They have great range - I can be anywhere in my apartment without having to worry about the headset losing connection. There's not any fake leather to be found on them, so I don't have to worry about black flakes coming off in my hair or around my ears after a long time of using them. Overall, I think this is a truly fantastic headset, and I'm happy to use them.
There are a couple of caveats worth mentioning, however. To begin with, there's the software. The default color for the lighting on the headset is blue on the top half of the ear cup, and red on the bottom. It's not my favorite, but to change it, you have to install Logitech's software.
Now, installing RGB software for each brand of peripheral is, unfortunately, simply the way things are right now. It can't be helped, so I won't dink it for that. That said, I do find frustration with software that's not intuitive, or restricts you in some ways. In this case, I never even installed the software to begin with. Why? Because it forces you to install on your C drive, on Windows. I don't have room on my C drive for pretty much anything - when I built the computer, I put in a small SSD for the OS and didn't intend to have anything on it. Unfortunately, Windows is bloated, and many programs install stuff in buried folders on your C drive you can't find no matter how hard you look, so mine is full. I can't install it, you can't change the install location, and I can't turn the RGB off as a result. Very frustrating.
Then there's the elephant in the room - the price. One thing I will be upfront about is that I received this product for free. I did not pay asking price. I was informed the price would be approximately $180 for this headset. Now, normally I don't like to pay a ton for a gaming headset, but I've also come to realize that you'll likely spend less on a high quality headset at once than you would buying several garbage headsets over the course of a couple years. Case in point, my Corsair HS80s, despite their flaws, are still working excellent, despite having been in regular, heavy use for about 3 years. They cost $100, but the problems I have with them drove me insane. I would absolutely pay $180 for the A20Xs if they last as long as my Corsairs. I think they're absolutely worth the investment - they're the highest quality gaming headphones I've ever used.
Highly recommend this headset.

I found the Logitech G Astro A20X Lightspeed headphones (we will refer to them as just Logitech's) so different from other pairs I've tried, I actually pulled out 5 other pairs of my gaming/normal headphones to compare.
The headphones I used for comparison are the HyperX Cloud II, HyperX Cloud III S, Alienware Pro Wireless, Rig 900 Pro HX, Sonos Ace (non gaming) for sound quality reference and a generic $50 pair of generic gaming headphones as a control.
I used Kitaro's "Caravansary" remastered as my testing music for audio and World of Warcraft for my gaming testing.
All of the headphones except the Sonos came with a dedicated dongle along with the ability to wire directly via USB C
Unlike many headsets with a dongle, the Logitech actually uses a wireless hub that allows you to switch seamlessly between an Xbox and a PC (possibly a PC and a PC too). The wireless hub runs two USB-A (xbox / PC) to USB-C (wireless hub) that then is used for wireless connection to your headphones. Depending on which device you use, your headphones will audibly tell you what connection is active and the active side of the hub will light up. This type of hub connectivity reminds me of Razer and it allows you to just unplug the USB-C from the wireless hub and directly into the headphones if desired to use or charge. I like it.
If you look at one of the pics in this review, you will quickly see the Logitech headphones look completely different than the other sets pictured. The head band is one contiguous piece and the headphones attach inside the one solid piece and slide up and down within it. The one problem with this is the range of motion is limited but this is offset by the suspended head strap which works in tandem. The only other set I have that does this is the Rigs and they don't do it nearly as well since the cups aren't adjustable.
There is a touch of RGB on the sides. I'm indifferent towards RGB on the headphones but it complements them well.
These are incredibly light weight and crazy comfortable. The Logitech headphones prioritize form over function and ergonomics over sound quality and that's not a bad thing. They feel almost like nothing on your head compared to all the other sets I tested. They are the most comfortable pair out of the bunch. The cushioned cups are clearly made to be very breathable and porous in nature and after hours of use my head was neither hot nor sweaty like some of the other pairs can do. The downside is unlike the Cloud II and especially the Cloud III, they do not provide much natural passive noise cancellation. While playing games, I could hear surrounding sounds around me regularly. With the Cloud III the natural passive noise cancellation along with normal use blocked noise out so much my wife had to tap me on the shoulder to get my attention.
Sound quality is decent but not remarkable. Kitaro's "Caravansary" has not only good, punchy lows and bass but sweeping, lush highs with subtle mids throughout. It will quickly show how well your headphones can not only separate lows, mids and highs but their quality. I found the Logitech's had good bass but the highs were a bit muffled and some of the mids got lost. Deal breaker? Not at all, but if you're looking for a good set of gaming headphones that can also double as good audio cans, these fall just a bit short. After testing them back and forth for a few hours over the course of a few days, I found the Cloud III had the best sound overall followed by the Logitechs. The Logitechs reminded me of the older Cloud II where the highs were just a bit muffled.
Gaming, they all deliver and sound great playing. All the separation and location detail was front and center in the best way. There's a certain "flatness" to the delivery of all that gaming audio detail that ranks them right up there with the Cloud III. The Alienware Pro's were a bit too bassy and bright. Testing the mic during raids and mythics, I found the Logitech had the best mic of the group with just a bit more clarity and clean up than the others.
Overall, I like them. I will switch to these when I am hunkering down for some very long gaming sessions or if it is a hot day in my computer room and comfort and keeping a cool head is my top priority. Theis new style and design is just fantastic for comfort. It is so lightweight, comfortable and breathable compared to ALL the other sets of headphones I tested that it must be reiterated as their top strength. Sound quality is more than passable, mic quality is very good and if you're a dual console and PC user? These will make it incredibly easy to switch between devices. A solid pick!

I had owned a pair of Astro headphones about a decade ago and I absolutely loved them. For that reason I was excited to receive this new model and was confident that it was going to be a high quality product. I was correct.
Pros:
- If you game on a lot of devices, you’ll love the versatility. This Astro model is compatible with all the major hardware on the market (PS5, PC, Switch, and XBox). A receiver is included which allows for simple switching between 2 devices. I had both my PC and my XBox hooked up at the same time and don’t have to change any wiring when moving from one to another.
- The audio quality is fantastic. I felt immersed in the games that I played. I also enjoyed listening to music with these, which sounded terrific.
- The headset is incredibly lightweight and comfortable, making it ideal for longer gaming sessions.
- The mic is detachable so if you don’t have any need for it, you can keep it stored so it’s never in the way. If you do plan to use it, you’ll find that it has a unique design that I liked where it is thin and flat but can be easily positioned where you like it.
- The battery is rated to last for 90 hours. I’ve been using this headset for nearly a week and have not needed to charge it yet. If you choose to use the lighting features, battery life will be reduced.
- Despite the high-end performance and features, I found the retail price to be very reasonable for this model. You can pay as much or more for lesser headsets.
Cons:
- None
I could not find anything that I disliked about this new Astro A20 X model from Logitech and I found it to be the best gaming headset that I have ever used.

I enjoy playing my XBOX Series X most of the time and typically FPS like Call of Duty and Battlefield along with racing games like Forza and this headset is great. One thing I liked about it is the lightspeed module that I can have my XBOX and PS4 connected at the same time and be able to play either one and use the headset to get audio for whichever one I am playing at the time.
It can also connect to my PC although I already have a headset for when I decide to game in my PC but it is nice knowing I can use these the same way. They charged quickly and so far the battery life has been great. I have used them for the last few weeks and have only had to charge them once with a out 10 hours or so of playing with them. They are also very comfortable for those extended gaming sessions and also allow me to wear glasses without any issues.
Pros
- Good battery life
- Lightweight
- Multiple device connections simultaneously
- Clear audio with great positional sound for FPS
Cons
- Lightweight makes them feel a little cheap compared to other higher end gaming headsets
Overall I have been very happy with these and they are a great option if you want to use with multiple systems without having to unplug USB cables or dongles to switch between game systems.

The Logitech G Astro A20 X Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Headset is perfect for long gaming sessions because it allows for comfort and excellent precision sound. Multi use compatibility with various systems such as Xbox series X and series S, Playstation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC/Mobile.
I love the flexibility of switching between 2 systems while gaming with the PLAYSYNC AUDIO. The 2 USB-C audio ports allow for easy switching with the buttons on the port and the PLAYSYNC AUDIO button on the right earcup. The MIXAMP buttons on the right earcup allow for me to control the game and the chat volumes so I can focus on stabilizing the audio that is most important to me at a given time. The removable microphone on the left earcup is easy to plug in and remove when needed, and it's also a 48kHz mic that is extremely clear for my audience while gaming and speaking. The left earcup allows for a USB-C port for charging needs and for wired gaming if preferred. The volume dial on the left earcup is very smooth and scrolls quite easily with a soft click feel that is easy to adjust while in gaming mode. The customizable LIGHTSYNC RGB is fun to use and adjust to the color preference I prefer for a given mood. The RGB lighting shows up very well onstream for videos and it's a fun vibe.
The fit and comfort is very nice and unique with this set of gaming headphones. The earcups are a soft foam in a padded cover that is a form of a cloth material and doesn't feel hot or sweaty after wearing for hours of gaming. The headband is unique without any sliding mechanism to find your right fit. This pair of headphones offers a semi adjustable headband that can be set in a low or high position and has a stretchy band across the underside of the headband. It takes a little getting used to as it is soft in material, but doesn't have a cushioned padded headband. I still find it comfortable, but it's different from standard headphones and gaming headphones I use. I like it and I feel it offers a nice secure fit, but it may take a bit of getting used to.
These Astro A20 X Lightspeed are fun, exciting, and perfect for gaming. They offer precise sound, excellent voice clarity, and a comfortable fit for hours. I love using these headphones for gaming primarily, but will also use them for work related purposes and virtual meetings. Also, I love pairing with my phone and listening to music throughout the day and night. A great set of gaming headphones.

Balanced Performance and Design

I’ve been using the Logitech Astro A20 X Lightspeed Wireless Headphones for about a week now, and they’ve already become my go-to headset for both gaming and everyday use. They look clean and modern, but what really surprised me was how lightweight they feel without seeming cheap.
Comfort
I wore these through a 4-hour gaming session, and they never felt heavy or tight. The ear cushions sit nicely and don’t create that pressure build-up some headsets do. Comfort-wise, they’re definitely made for long sessions. The build itself feels solid and well put together—there’s a nice premium feel without being overly flashy.
Sound
The audio is excellent for gaming. Subtle details like footsteps in Call of Duty come through clearly, but you still get that immersive atmosphere in bigger moments. Outside of gaming, music and shows sound great as well. Highs are clear, mids balanced, and the bass has just enough kick without drowning everything else out. It’s a very well-rounded sound profile.
Connectivity
One standout feature is PlaySync. Switching from my PS5 to my laptop to my phone was quick and easy, which saved me from constantly re-pairing or fiddling with settings. That kind of convenience makes a big difference if you’re using the headset across multiple devices.
Microphone
The detachable mic is a nice bonus. It picks up my voice clearly, and my friends on chat told me I sounded sharp and not muffled like with my last headset. When I don’t need it, I just pull it off and the headset keeps a cleaner look. Simple but effective.
Wireless and Battery
The wireless connection has been rock solid—no lag, no drops. I’ve been able to move around my room without losing signal. Battery life is impressive too. Logitech claims up to 90 hours, and while I haven’t pushed it that far, I’ve done back-to-back 4-hour sessions over several days without recharging, and they kept up no problem. It’s nice not having to worry about the battery dying mid-game.
Downsides
The only real issue I’ve run into is the button layout. The volume button is right next to the mute button, and I’ve accidentally hit the wrong one more than once during games. It’s a small thing, but I wish the mute was on the mic itself for faster access. Also, I couldn’t get the Logitech app to work, which meant I couldn’t play around with the RGB lighting or extra audio settings.
Final Thoughts
Overall, the Astro A20 X is a fantastic headset. Comfortable for long sessions, great audio, reliable wireless, and a mic that gets the job done. The button placement could use some tweaking, but that doesn’t take away from how solid these are as an everyday and gaming headset. If you want something that sounds great, feels good to wear, and won’t quit on you mid-game, this is an easy recommendation.

Really good for what they are. They connect flawlessly to Ps5 and Xbox and have a very clear, powerful sound. The mic quality is great also. One of the best out there. These are not designed for multi media use at all. No controls for music. Also not good for taking phone calls. No controls that I could find for taking a phone call while gaming. There is Bluetooth, but it’s not executed very well. Buy it for gaming only.

Good quality, easy to set up and it works great, thos is you don't have an Xbox the logitech g522 might be a better value as they are the exact same just without the Xbox support. These also have a bit more bass but nothing crazy over the g522

Comfort & Features for Multi-device Gamers

Overall, after two weeks, the Logitech Astro A20 X has been an excellent headset and offers good value (compared to other headsets in the price range). It’s comfortable, has great audio, solid build quality, and most importantly, truly seamless cross-platform switching. Suppose you’re a gamer or even a casual gamer, looking for a reliable, reliably performing headset that won’t empty your wallet. In that case, I can recommend the A20 X. It’s lightweight, loaded with many sought-after features, and it can compete with headsets that cost more.
The Logitech Astro A20 X is a recent release from Logitech’s Astro gaming headset lineup. It sits under the higher-end Astro A50 X. Judging from last year’s model and this year’s improvements, I think Logitech is trying to give customers premium features without a super premium price tag. I’m not for a second unaware that the price is not cheap, and I wish the headset were less expensive, but considering the competition, I think Logitech executed its goal.
One of the first things you’ll notice about the A20 X is its lightweight design. Weighing just 290 grams, it’s noticeably lighter than many other gaming headsets. I did a quick search for some of the most popular gaming headsets. Of the ten or so competitors that came up in the results, one was 320g, and another was over 360g. I don’t know about you, but one of the first things that turns me off about any headset or pair of headphones is the weight and comfort. I wore the Astro A20 X for almost two hours and didn’t feel any strain on my head and neck.
The headset features memory foam ear cups. You can hear the passive noise isolation as soon as you put them on. By no means does this mean superior isolation and or equal active noise cancellation, but the plush padding does a good job of blocking out ambient noise - like the shouting of my kids down the hallway. The top headband is made of plastic but sturdy enough. There’s a suspension headband right under the plastic headband that is soft and has some cushioned stitching.
The buttons and volume wheel feel responsive and well-built. You have controls for the volume via a volume wheel, Bluetooth pairing, an on/off switch, Mic mute, and a switch between two systems with a button. There are also two buttons, a voice button and a game button, located on the right ear cup. They allow you to balance between game audio and voice chat when connected to a PC or Xbox.
Visually, the A20 X takes a more conservative approach. Sans the RGB and detachable mic, they might be able to pass for everyday Bluetooth headphones. This is in contrast to the angular, aggressive look of typical competing headsets. The Astro A20 X follows the design cues from some of Logitech’s other headsets, which I like. They have a more rounded, headphone-like appearance (I know I wrote that twice, but that’s what they look like). I appreciate the sleeker, more modern look. Speaking of RGB, the lights are customizable RGB where the headband meets the earcups. It’s a nice touch; this is a gaming headset, plus my kids like it. I honestly haven’t changed the lighting pattern. The RGB isn't overboard or distracting by default.
The A20 X promises 24-bit audio and 48 kHz full-bandwidth chat. They did show up as such in my Windows 11 Sound Output Settings. This is impressive for a headset. I looked at other headsets but couldn’t find many that advertised the bandwidth and higher bit depth. Impressions on audio quality are that it is clear and balanced, with a flat profile. Well-suited for gaming, in my opinion, and the profile I choose when listening to music. I can always use an EQ if I need more bass or treble. You can clearly hear footsteps, gunfire, and environmental cues without overwhelming bass or treble or muffling.
The microphone is detachable, bendable, and designed for “broadcast-quality” voice chat. Logitech has a strong track record with mic quality, and the A20 X seems to follow suit. One of the best features of the A20 X is its PlaySync base station. This 2”x1” (estimate) rectangular hub allows you to connect two gaming systems simultaneously—for example, a PS5 and an Xbox —and switch between them with the press of a button. A voice prompt confirms the switch, making it easy to know which system you’re using. You don’t have to juggle multiple headsets or multiple adapters.
You have plenty of connectivity options. The headset supports Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C, and 2.4GHz wireless. However, one limitation is that Bluetooth can only connect to one device at a time, with no support for simultaneous connections. Not a dealbreaker, but I really wish Logitech would include it with so many headphones that support it nowadays. It would have been great to have the ability to switch between my phone and tablet without re-pairing.
Battery life is another area where the A20 X also shines. Logitech claims up to 90 hours of playtime without RGB lighting, and around 40 hours with lighting enabled. The headset has auto-shutoff. You need to switch the headset off and back on after it automatically shuts off. That’s more than many competing headsets. I’ve charged it once when I first received it and haven’t charged it since.
Setting up the A20 X is straightforward. It’s plug-and-play. I really love how quickly the hub and headset connect to my devices. It’s also fast to swap devices with the Lightspeed USB hub. Switching between devices is seamless, and the headset provides clear audio feedback every time you change devices.
