I have been through a lot of cameras that profess to be the best for cheap..this camera is by far the #1 in my book. I can hear what is being said in my yard of two acres with full HD view..plus I can do it from anywhere at any time in the world. This camera rocks.

I had to return the system because it was not compatible with my iMac that I had already purchased and am using from Best Buy. Very sorry I couldn't use it.

Finally a home security camera that is easy to interface with an existing home network. The camera itself is solid, and the infrared night capabilty is outstanding. It is easy to connect and set up out of the box. The software works too. Easy to set motion detector zones. Not too many false alarms would be my only criticism, as well as the thin ethernet cord which is nice for hiding, but I wonder how well it would stand up.. The powerline networking works well even in an outbuilding about 150 feet away.

Even with a good computer geek on hand it took a bit to get the system set up. Once it was working all seemed good. I was getting alerts when a chicken walked by the screen. We planned to adjust the angle as our chickens are not a threat to us but before we did it rained. The camera quit working. We thought, oh well, a lemon, we'll try the other outdoor camera. Same thing. We tried the inside one just to see how it was. OK but we need outside coverage and alerts. We returned the entire unit. Now we need help at finding something that WILL work.

This camera is a nice fit to any home! It is VERY easy to install. It has nice user friendly recording software. You MUST install the software on a PC. Logitech needs to come out with recording software for a Mac.

It is a great money saving monitoring system. No problems at all. I am using on a intel pentium dual core with a 2G ram and it works as advertised. The transfer/download speed between outdoor camera and computer can be enhanced by turning off the live recording. Just remember to turn it back on when done. I had the product for about 7 months and still going strong.

I purchased 4 night and 1 day camera and for about 2 -3 weeks it worked great. Then all but one camera disappeared. So far it is almost 2 weeks dealing with Logitech's Alert 'support'. Switched out the control box of the day camera with the master and it found 3 cameras, showing pretty much what is wrong but Logitech drags its feet. Hope this works out as the system is good, when it works...

The sound is not good at all. I hear a hum whenever I enable the sound and a loud buzzing noise every few seconds. I assumed by all the great comments that the picture would be excellent. That is not the case. If you're standing right in front of the camera, the picture if good. If you stand more that a few feet away, you cannot make out faces. The night vision is just o.k. Not anything to brag about. The picture is fuzzy and I'm haven't found a way to focus it. Overall, if you're using the camera for a small area, its good. If you're hoping to make out faces or license plate numbers on a car thats in the distance, don't count on it. You can be the judge of it by the picture I attached.

Picture not so clear at night but good during the day . There s a circle on the outside of the picture during night vision .
