Okay…
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The hinges are really stiff and struggle with lightweight mics

Expensive, expected more
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Expensive and not the greatest quality. The tension adjustments are quite annoying to get right and is hard to use with a lighter mic. Looks good and pairs well with the Radius 3 attachment with my Yeti.

Nice boom arm
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far, I like this boom arm. The tension adjustments at the elbows are a little finicky though. Overall, it’s a sturdy boom arm.

Good Upgrade!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Took a little bit to set up but this is one heck of an upgrade from my bare-bones arm that I got from amazon. The ability to rotate 360 degrees freely and without any need to loosen anything allows me to station this arm anywhere I want. The channel used for the cord is a lot neater and cleaner than the velcro strap I was using for cable management.

Not good for light mics.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unless you have a heavy mic, the stand will not stay in place regardless of how much you tighten the hinges.

trash
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tension is way to high and will fling it self like a bat out of hell if you let go. Screw at the bottom does almost nothing. The fastener in the arm are cheap plastic that will break and do not bottom out.

Posted .Hello Robert. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the Compass Boom Arm. I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble getting the arm to stay put. It is meant to be a counterweight to the Yeti and other microphones. With nothing on it, or a very lightweight microphone, the tension will be too great, but when the microphone is attached, it stays exactly where you put it (most of the time). Once it is set up, it is able to be moved and adjusted with a single hand without having to loosen or tighten bolts. Also, please make sure you are using the arm with the channel for the cable on the top... If it is upside down, it will never work as it should.

Quality product
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only complaint is, the arm has hard time staying down and/or extended even with tension released. It works with a bit of adjustment for some time but eventually retracts

Do Not Buy This!
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolute crud! Tgis doesn't hold up a cue tip. I purchased it to hold the Blu Yeti microphone and it just flops down and if you over tighten it just once it breaks!

Works well.

Great mic stand
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this to hold my Shure SM7B mic, works great, but had to use a small extender so I could plug in the XLR cable. Holds mic well with no issue and has great cable management channel that fits both, the xlr cable and a headphone cable nicely. Very happy with my purchase and looking to pick up another to hold my webcam.

Works well for some positions but not all.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It looks nice and of higher quality but it doesn't work well. The tension did not work to hold up the Blue Yeti in the position I needed it in.
