Mic boom garbage

Cheap product literally center adjustment crumbled in my hands while adjusting. Cheap cheap cheap material and was not worth about the hundred bucks I spent. Very disappointed and cause of it breaking dropped my hyper x mic on the floor but we are all okay with the mic thank god. Definitely look into another brand if looking for a mic boom!!!

Not worth it.

You need a very heavy mic to offset the weight and make it so it doesn't move at all. My stand broke at the base after minor adjustment just 2 weeks after purchase. I am no longer in the return window. I absolutely cannot recommend this stand to anyone who values their set up. Looks somewhere else.

Posted .Hello DrKnockers, Very sorry to hear about your disappointment with the Compass Microphone Stand. Compass features a broadcast studio-grade design with enclosed aluminum construction, internal springs, and hidden-channel cable management makes movment effortless and quiet. There is a tension adjustment screw underneath the boom arm. To adjust tension, take the boom arm off the C-clamp mount and adjust the Phillips-head Screw on the bottom of the boom arm. Left to loosen, right to tighten. From there, use the side adjustment knobs for granular adjustments on the fly. It is important to make these adjustments with your microphone attached.
