Opening the package for the Logitech Chirpy Bird mouse was simple, which started off the review on a positive note. The back of the plastic package has two finger slots to pull and unzip the back right off. I opened the package which contains the mouse. Removing the battery cover (which is tight as heck) revealed the mouse transmitter dongle and a new battery. To test the mouse, I plugged the dongle into 3 different PCs, each with a different OS. I first fired up my Chromebook and it found the mouse and didn’t hesitate to start working. After that, I tried it on my Surface Book 3 with Windows 10 home and then finally on the MacMini (late 2014 with the I5 CPU). Both of those systems did just like the Chromebook and had the mouse up and running by the time I grabbed the mouse. As for the mouse, it’s tiny. The title says compact, and it is. I’ve got rather large hands but had no problem using the mouse, scroll wheel, or buttons. I wouldn’t want to use it daily, but in a pinch or on the go, it’s a great mouse. I saw no stutter or hesitation using the mouse on all 3 platforms. I think this would be a great mouse for someone with small to medium hands or someone that prefers a compact/tiny mouse. Other than that, what else can one say about a mouse? It works and works well. I like the dongle holder in the base. It fits but was a bit loose. I tried it both ways thinking maybe it would hold a bit better, but no, still sloppy. No biggie though, the battery cover holds it in and as I stated, that cover is tight. I had to push with one thumb while using a fingernail to wedge in the back crack, applying pressure.

The M317 Design Collection Wireless Optical Mouse is easy to use. It tracks well on any surface. The distance claim of 30 feet is valid since I tried it from that distance and still had full control. The designs are really great and there is something for everyone. 12 months battery life would be amazing but I don’t know that yet. The resolution is excellent since the cursor tracks precisely and is very easy to use. It tracks very smoothly. This is a great mouse for the price.

if you are looking at a basic mouse, this is it. works great and gets the job done and for the price. my only suggestion would be if logi could have come up with a way that you could replace the design. it would be nice to be able to buy the other designs and change it out. but that does not change this is a great mouse for the price or my review. i would not recommend myself if you are a gamer. but for basic use sure.

Hello customer, I'm sorry to hear your Logitech Mouse isn't working properly. Usually when it cuts in and out it could be a few issues; first, make sure the battery tab was fully removed from the battery compartment. Next, make sure the batteries are properly seated and possibly replace them. Finally, make sure the USB receiver is fully inserted into your computer, and possibly think about using a different USB port.

Who said mice had to be boring? Logitech's Limited Edition Design Collection mice break the mold of boring mice with choices of cool designs, colors all supported by Logitech's rock-solid quality and reliability. The Logitech Design collection mice are powered by a single AA battery, rated for 12 months, and uses Logitech's Nano receiver for pairing. It was plug-and-play on my Windows laptop and Chromebook. No downloads or complications. The thing I love is that the mouse has an/off switch AND a place to store the unifying nano receiver when not in use and the rubber grip on the scroll wheel, which makes for smoothing scrolling. All said, very happy. Tip. If you're wondering, the Design Collection mice seem to be Logitech M317 mouse.

      Hello,
I see you have posted two reviews for this Design Collection mouse. I apologize for the inconvenience that you have experienced, and I would like to help. I recommend downloading the Logitech “Options” software for customization and for best experience. I also recommend running the “Firmware Update Tool” to ensure the USB receiver has the latest updates. If you are still experiencing issues, I recommend running the “Unifying” software, where you can reestablish the connection.
Thank you for choosing Logitech, and for taking the time to write these reviews. I hope these suggestions will solve the issues that you have experienced. I have attached a link to the “Downloads” page. Please contact Logitech support if you need any further assistance.

Hello, I am sorry you were unable to locate the USB dongle. We keep it inside the mouse where the batteries are for safe keeping. Here is a photo of where it is located: https://www.logitech.com/assets/49077/wireless-mouse-m325-quick-start-guide.pdf. I hope this helps! So I got this for my wife. She has petite hands and loves the feel of this mouse. Also she loves the design and color as well. As far as Bluetooth connectivity no issues at all on our HP computer. This replaces a mouse that was much more expensive and had major connectivity issues. So obviously it wasn’t the computer. Nice and I do recommend if you want something for every day use and not major gaming.

A mouse is a mouse is a mouse. What is there too say? The mouse is great, easy to use and feels pretty good in my hands. It is on the smaller side so if your hands are large this might not be the right one for you. But for dudes with normal hands or women or teens, the size is right. No issues with buttons or mouse wheel and it seems plenty durable (it goes from use to backpack use backpack) and it works on every surface so far (blanket, mouse pad, smooth desktop) I'd buy another one when this one bites the dust.

I have been using this for 2 weeks to give it a fair shake. I had been using a Microsoft mouse. This logitec is pretty good. I like the color of Green/White but I am usually a black mouse person. The movement is just a tad more sensitive but it is very accurate. I am enjoying using the mouse and will continue to do so. It feels good in the hand and it reacts almost instantly. Great mouse.
