Great Mouse, but Not Unifying Compatible

I bought my first M317 mouse just over 2.5 years ago. It served me well up until about a week ago, when it began occasionally clicking multiple times when the left button was pressed. I was thrilled to find out that I could replace it with an identical one--I also have a few of the M325S mice, but I've always preferred the texture of this model over those. Alas, the model currently being sold is not the same one I originally purchased, even though the product page is the same. My original M317 mouse had a unifying receiver. This one is labeled M317c, and its receiver is NOT unifying even though it's listed in the features on the Best Buy product page. It doesn't even support the technology--the unifying logo is missing from the bottom of the mouse, and the Logitech Unifying Software said it's not compatible when I tried to pair it with the receiver from my older mouse.

Cute little mouse. It is just what I was looking for. I had trouble getting it to work at first with the battery that came with it. Once I changed the battery it worked fine. The other thing is that the battery indicator light does not stay lit so you will just know the battery is running out when it stops working.

This mouse syncs very easy and works great. The bluetooth chip is inside next to the battery that plugs into your device (laptop or desktop computer) & the on/off switch is also on the bottom. The color is fun. Just what I was looking for.

I love this mouse. I mainly use it for work but this would be a great for any use. It’s comfy and glides easily. I love that I can store my usb inside for safe travel. If I could change anything about it, I would make the clicks quiet.

Full disclosure, I am a long-time fan of Logi (formerly Logitech) given their quality, price, ingenuity and function. This mouse does not disappoint. I'm a dude with relatively large hands and while this mouse is small, it certainly is more than functional. Yeah, I know, a guy with a flowery pink mouse, but I'm 100% ok with that. I offered it to my wife and daughter but they both already had way more "lady-like" mouses so I plopped this one in my home office so I wouldn't need to continually move my other mouse to and fro. This pretty lady offers precision control, quick response time and comfort to the hand. I definitely appreciate the wheel since I use that all the time. It has great tactile feedback. Please note, this is the type of mouse that has the USB attachment that needs to be plugged in and is NOT a peripheral BT mouse that you can program as a client to your PC's built in BT. IS that a deal breaker? Well, no, but it would be nice if it was a true BT mouse, but that's easy to get over. It comes with one AA battery that Logi claims will last 12 months. Obviously there is no way to test that in a short time but given previous experience wit the brand, I have no doubt that claim is accurate. It is also made with recycled plastic so if that's important to you, this mouse is your date to the dance. The one oddity that I will note (and I'm not sure if this is specific to my unit or broader to all) but the compartment to remove the USB dongle and battery is tight. Like REALLY tight. Tight to the point that I need a knife to remove it. No biggie, I always have a knife on and/or near me, so no biggie but just a point to ponder. End of the day, this is a great choice if you are in the market and I would recommend to a friend (with the caveats mentioned). **PLEASE NOTE** This was provided to me at reduced or no cost in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. This review is exactly that, honest and unbiased.

Hi Posted1, thank you for sharing your experience with the M325 Design Collection. I'm glad that the dainty leaf did not scare you off from using it. I'm glad that you found the size, form, and comfort appealing to you. Thank you for clarifying that it is not a Bluetooth mouse but requires the use of the provided USB receiver. Thank you for being a Logitech customer. Kristi from Logitech

Installed on Win11 laptop immediately. Cute color, nice hand fit. Wheel is a bit "growl-y" when rotated rapidly, but I am very happy with this purchase.

This is the second Logitech wireless mouse with a design that I purchased. It is flatter than most mice & so works well with smaller hands. Although the scrolling noise can get louder after the mouse gets a little older. But they did not have the noiseless mouse in stock at that time. I liked that it has color. Not the same old grey or black. the other one is still going after a few years.

I bought a new laptop for my daughter at Christmas and then went in store to use my best buy points for accessories. She really likes plants and when she came across this mouse after 30 minutes of shopping, she fell in love. She's also small, so this mouse fit her hand. I should have looked up how this mouse connects ... her new laptop doesn't have the standard USB port, so I had to buy a $10 converter for this mouse to link to her computer. Once linked up, the mouse has worked great and she loves it! Overall pro: nice design, perfect size for smaller hands Overall "con": double-check your laptop/computer ports to ensure you can link via standard USB port.

This is a great wireless mouse from Logitech. I always use Logitech brand mouse and keyboard because they are durable and easy to use. This particular mouse model uses current scrolling technology that's slightly slower to scroll than previous year's model. I like the older technology that can scroll very fast, but this one reduces scrolling noise when you scroll fast. Overall, I think it's a 4-star mouse, but the design color looks beautiful! It's a bargain from Best Buy for $9.99 only when I bought it last month.

    Best Wireless Mouse

Logitech makes the best mice, bar none. Battery life and ergonomics are fantastic and the performance is reliable (each mouse generally lasts about 4 years). My only regret is that I stocked up on a bunch of these during a recent Best Buy shopping trip before realizing that I would need a Bluetooth mouse (not the USB version) to work with my recently-purchased MacBook Air (M1), which doesn't have a standard size USB port. (Seriously, Apple?) Years ago I was also able to buy a mini version of this mouse, which I paired with my 2010 MacBook Pro. I was disappointed to find that these mini mice are not easy to find. (Not sure if Logitech stopped making them?) I liked the smaller mouse because it packs nicely in a laptop case and beats using the track pad. I will continue to make use of these mice on my desktop Macs, but ended up buying the full-size Logi M240 for the MacBook Air. I wish I could find a mini version of the M240, but so far no dice!

I love the graphic design, the fit in my hand and the fact that it is wireless. The problem is I expect things to last a long long time. I have the same mouse, different design, that lasted only about 12 months. Still, wfh, it is far easier to buy my own mouse than wait for my employer to figure out how to get a replacement for me. As long as they have neat graphics, I'll keep buying these.
