Logitech makes some of the best non OEM iPad cases out there in my opinion and this one is no different with one exception. I have the combo touch on another iPad and it has been great, the flip folio has the same durable finish as that model except this model’s design is like Apple’s Smart Folio. So instead on an actual case that you slip on, this doesn’t cover the sides as it attaches magnetically. The Flip Folio also has a kickstand feature that allows you to prop it up on a table. The party trick for this one though is a detachable small keyboard that attaches to the case itself magnetically. The keyboard itself feels very nice and well made and is actually nice to use with one exception! The one issue when using the keyboard is there’s no mouse pad or any kind of tacking device on the keyboard. So when using the keyboard to browse the web and you want to switch tabs on Safari you have to use the touch screen. This isn’t that big of a deal if you’re sitting at a table, though it still takes some getting use to, but if you want to sit on the sofa and put your iPad on a coffee table across from you, the keyboard becomes almost useless, unless you connect a Bluetooth mouse also. I understand they couldn’t put a track pad on a small keyboard, but something like a small track ball in the middle like old school laptops would have been awesome. The Flip Folio is an overall nice addition to an iPad and the detachable keyboard is innovative, I just wish they could have integrated a track ball into it. If you don’t need that functionality the Flip Folio is a nice and more durable alternative to the OEM Smart Folio.

I love my iPad, but I feel it's incomplete without a keyboard. There are plenty of options available, some more budget-friendly than others. The Apple Magic Keyboard for iPad seems like the obvious choice, but it comes with a hefty price tag. Plus, I've noticed that it's nice to use the iPad without it being permanently attached to a keyboard. These are the main reasons I was excited to try out the Flip Folio from Logitech. The Case The case is protective and it wraps around the entire case quickly and easily. You don’t have to snap the iPad into a case it just attaches to the magnetic backing and then the cover wraps around the front of the iPad’s screen. The case provides adequate coverage and is still slim enough to be suitable to for travel. The Fold When you first open the case, there is a sticker on the bend of the folding cover. It shows the bottom half of the cover being folded toward the screen. It doesn’t bend easily. You really have to force it hard the first time. I didn’t believe that it was supposed to bend until I saw customer images of it bent. Once I forced the bend, it was very sturdy as a stand. The Keyboard The first thing I wondered about the keyboard was how it was powered. The keyboard needs four (4) CR2016 batteries for power. It comes with those pre-installed, but personally I would rather see the keyboard be rechargeable than battery-powered. There is an on/off switch so you can turn it off when it’s not in use. I do love how slim the keyboard it and the fact that it magnetizes to the back of the Flip Folio. That said, I do wish there was a travel case for the entire kit so that you don’t lose the keyboard when you are moving from place to place. The keyboard is very responsive and I didn’t have any issues with connection. I was able to connect it to both my iPad and MacBook Pro with no issues. Final Thoughts The Logitech Combo with Flip Folio strikes a good balance between functionality, portability, and price. While the Apple Magic Keyboard offers a premium, all-in-one experience, its cost and bulk can be drawbacks. The Flip Folio’s modular design gives you the freedom to use your iPad on its own or with a keyboard when needed. Though the fold took some effort to break in and the use of disposable batteries is a bit outdated, the overall experience is practical and travel-friendly. If you want keyboard functionality without committing to the full Magic Keyboard investment, the Flip Folio is a smart alternative.

The Flip Folio by Logitech is a perfect fit for my iPad Air 13-Inch M4 (2025). Unboxing it was very easy; the presentation is great! Everything was padded and packaged carefully. On the right side there are instructions on how to fold it so that it functions as a stand. Instead of folding the Flip Folio backwards, you actually fold it up forwards towards the iPad, and that is clearly noticeable on the box. When you open up the box that has this information on it, on the other side there is instructions on how to connect the keyboard to your iPad. The keyboard was the first thing I took out of the box. It feels great! It’s light yet has a great weight to it. It doesn’t feel like it’s made of plastic. It was easy to set up with Bluetooth. Make sure that you thoroughly read the instructions on how to set up Bluetooth as it will ask you to type in a passcode and then hit enter. With that, the keyboard is set up! The keyboard is lovely to type on and the keys are not loud, but they feel very pleasant. The keycaps have a nice feel to them. There are three additional buttons so that you may connect the keyboard to your phone or a computer. This is also quite easy and you will have to do the same, pair it by typing in a code and press enter to set it up. Once you have set it up once, you can switch to each device very quickly! The case itself is thin, and as soon as I placed the iPad in an ideal position, it is magnetized so it will stay there. There are shortcut keys that let you switch from app to app, select search, take a picture, change volume, and there’s even a button for emojis! You can stand your iPad up either horizontally or vertically and it will work. I usually will draw on my iPad so I keep it horizontal, however, it could sit vertically for video calls and such. I love how compact the keyboard is, and how easy it is to take the whole thing with me. The only thing that would have made it better is if it came with a screen protector too. Overall I am very pleased with the Flip Folio. It fits and protects my iPad perfectly and converts my iPad into a work station where ever I may be. It is stylish, the keyboard feels and works great. Everything was easy to set up, and the presentation of the box and product itself is stunning and professional. I highly recommend this product to anyone who has an iPad and intend to use it for work, school, or even drawing!

I bought the Logitech Flip Folio Keyboard Case for the iPad Pro 13-inch (M4)/iPad Air 13-inch (M2 & M3) in Graphite, and it’s amazing. The case is strong but not heavy, so it’s easy to carry. The keyboard types just like a laptop! The keys feel solid and smooth, not cheap or soft. The case also lets you adjust the screen angle so it’s comfortable for typing, gaming, or watching videos. It snaps on easily and works right away without any setup. This case has really changed my iPad into a laptop-style device, which makes it great for schoolwork, travel, or creating content. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to type comfortably on their iPad.

Case functions well. Pretty nifty to have the magnetic, detachable keyboard on hand. Main reason I purchased was a way to use iPad pro 13, in portrait. The stand angles are pretty good though I'd like the hinge to bend a bit further. Also the magnet that hold the iPad isn't nearly as strong as the one in a magic keyboard, but for the price, this is quite sufficient.

I am very satisfied with this product! The quality is excellent, and it works perfectly for my needs. The setup was quick and easy, and the performance is smooth. The design is modern and stylish, and the battery lasts a long time. Definitely worth the price!

Really great quality and feel of the keyboard. I like that the actual keys aren’t physically part of the case and that it does give the feel of a laptop when you’re using it all together. The sound of the keys are satisfying. The actual case is sturdy and it clicks in on all sides so it definitely feels secure and it does have the standard screen flaps so you can open and close the iPad easily.

Heavier and thicker than the Apple one but its ability to detach and be placed anywhere inside a workspace gives it an edge over the Apple keyboard.

The Flip Folio is very useful with its detachable keyboard and ability to support varied positioning of the iPad. It is somewhat bulky, however. I also find that when the iPad is laying flat, getting the Apple Pen to find the iPad's magnet is tricky.

Battery life is exceptional. Logitech promises two years on four CR2016 coin cells, and the keyboard automatically powers down when attached to the case. The multi-device pairing is genuinely useful; I found myself switching between my iPad and iPhone seamlessly using the dedicated switching keys. In daily use, the Flip Folio reveals both its strengths and limitations. The adjustable kickstand works brilliantly in both landscape and portrait modes, something I genuinely appreciate when reviewing documents or coding. The case provides solid protection front and back, though the edges remain somewhat exposed. Here's what's missing: a trackpad. After years of using iPad keyboards with integrated trackpads, reaching up to touch the screen feels like stepping backwards. It's not a dealbreaker, but it does change how you interact with iPadOS. Some users have reported fit issues around the camera bump, though my unit aligned properly. So who's this for? If you're someone who uses a keyboard occasionally, maybe a few times a week for longer emails or document editing, the Flip Folio makes sense. It undercuts the Magic Keyboard by nearly half while offering unique flexibility. Students who need to type in cramped lecture halls, remote workers bouncing between coffee shops, or anyone who values adaptability over integration will find value here. However, if you're typing all day or rely heavily on trackpad gestures, you'll want to look elsewhere. Bottom line: The Flip Folio isn't trying to turn your iPad into a MacBook, it's embracing what makes a tablet special while adding keyboard functionality when you need it. Is it perfect? No. The lack of backlighting and trackpad will frustrate some users, and the weight negates some portability advantages. But for those who want typing flexibility without being locked into a laptop paradigm, it's a clever solution. Sometimes in tech, different is exactly what we need. Just be honest about your workflow before clicking buy, this keyboard demands you adapt to its philosophy, not the other way around.

In concept this case appears to be an improvement on the Magic Keyboard. In reality there are some annoying drawbacks. The keyboard constantly slides off its magnetic holder. The flip stand does not keep its shape and constantly needs to be adjusted. After using the Folio for 2 weeks I cannot recommend this keyboard. Hopefully Logitech will correct these issues with their next version.
