Customers commend the Flip Folio Keyboard Case for its solid build quality, reliable connectivity, and convenient portability, enhanced by magnetic attachment. Users also appreciate the long-lasting battery life, adequate protection, and comfortable typing experience reminiscent of a laptop. However, some customers express a desire for stronger magnets and note that the case adds noticeable weight to the iPad. Overall, the keyboard case is well-received for its positive attributes, with the magnet strength and weight being areas for potential improvement.

I have used a few of these as I have moved to different iPads over the years and, and I have found them to be a good value and work for me rather well. This one is much the same, as there is a lot that I do like, but there are a few things that have left me wondering. For starters, the build is good, everything is solid, it’s a decent weight, and everything just feels good in the hand. Given everything, it may be “very slightly” thicker than some are used to, but it is not a big issue for me. My iPad snapped right on/in, and while it didn’t seem to be the same as prior models, it felt secure. Continuing that theme, I think it provides a nice level of protection, which frankly is mostly what I am looking for. A change made was that the keyboard is not attached to the case itself, but rather separate. I like this implementation, as it gives me a little more freedom on setup, use, and comfort. It is designed to magnetically stow away on the back of the case itself when not in use. I was a little wary, but it more or less easily attaches and, at least so far, has been rock solid. Again, I like this, as it makes the unit more compact when I don’t need the keyboard. The keyboard itself, well, is good. It is about what you would expect here, and given the small size I suppose it is done well. You also get a row of function shortcut keys up top, which is nice to see. Really, it is nice to type with, but I am mostly using some light to normal use, just something to note as I don’t know how it would be for heavy or extended uses. Admittedly, I do miss a trackpad, but I knew that going in. Same with backlit keys. A feature I do really like is the ability to connect to 3 devices. I was hesitant, but it works perfectly, with solid connections and easy switching. Along those same lines, you can position the iPad either in portrait or landscape mode allowing so I was able to have my iPad and phone next to each other. All nice adds that I had not realized going in. Use in general in good, with this, the free keyboard, and the ability to view at different angles. All in all, all good there. One thing I am uncertain about, perhaps for no reason, is the battery/charging situation. Instead of making it chargeable, they opted to go with 4 replaceable CR2016 batteries (kind of like larger watch batteries) and are claiming 2 years of battery life. I am sure that will vary given use, and I do love the idea of not having to worry about charging, but will they last? Time will tell. Everything could be great, and a non-issue, but just another thing to note. Ultimately, I do like this case/keyboard. It is put together well and I think a good value. There are pros and cons, as with everything, and I think it will really come down to what you are looking for and use case, but I think this will work for quite a few people.

The keyboard itself delivers a good typing experience with function shortcut keys and easy multi-device connectivity, which you found to work "perfectly." You also highlight the useful ability to orient the iPad in both portrait and landscape modes for versatile viewing. Your main point of uncertainty lies with the non-rechargeable CR2016 coin cell batteries and their claimed two-year life, which you're keen to see tested with real-world use. Despite missing a trackpad and backlit keys, which you were aware of, you generally find it a good value and a suitable option for many users. Logitech

Logitech is known for making exceptional iPad accessories, so I was excited to pick this one up for my iPad Air M2 13". I wanted something versatile, easy to travel with, and something to bring outside to my patio. While this is a great concept from Logitech, it doesn't really check my boxes or offer a better alternative to my Apple keyboard folio. I've been seeing the marketing that Logitech is doing for this product, they show it being used at the beach, on the patio and for traveling. While I would never take an iPad to the beach, I wanted it for the other two scenarios. Here is what it does well: - Multiple viewing angles - Protects the iPad really well - Keyboard is a good size, light and very comfortable to type on - The keyboard attaches to the folio with magnets for portability Here is what I don't like: - It is heavy! Not really ideal for some of my uses - Kickstand design feels a bit cheap, the plastic on the folio warps a bit when using it. - Magnet to make it stand up isn't very strong - I would like to tilt it up more to help with the strain on my neck - Their marketing shows someone at the beach using the detachable keyboard, really? Who is going to do that? This might be a good device for some people, but it misses the mark for me.

The Logitech Flip Folio for the iPad Pro 13-inch M4 or the iPad air 13-inch M2, M3is a form fitting folio that hold your device in place with magnets. It comes with a full-size keyboard with Bluetooth connectivity. The keyboard can switch between 3 devices with the push of a button. The keyboard attaches to the back of the folio with magnets. Once the folio is set up the iPad can be mounted in either landscape or portrait and sturdily held to the folio on a built-in ledge across the bottom fold of the Flip Folio. You can also set up the folio on a variable angle for perfect viewing. The battery life of the Bluetooth keyboard is based on 2 hours of daily use and comes with a 2-year life expectancy. The keyboard automatically turns off when attached to the Flip Folio. The keyboard has 4 CR2016 button batteries. The top row of the keyboard is loaded with all your preferred functions. The Flip Folio does not add any noticeable weight to the iPad and protects both the front and back of the iPad.

There are many things I liked about this Logitech case. One of the things is the fact that the keyboard is removable without leaving the screen unprotected. Without it, it feels much lighter than any other case I have tried before. And unlike many other cases with keyboard, the Flip Folio looks really nice which is something I do care about since I use my iPad for work too and I’d say it is the reason why most people tend to buy the Apple keyboard. Look and design count and I believe Logitech nailed it here. Something else that caught my attention is that I can use the keyboard with my iPhone and my wife can use it with her iPad as well. Switching between devices is extremely easy. At this point, I was about to rate it five stars, but reaching perfection is not an easy task. There are a few things that I was not overly impressed by. The first is that it requires external charging. That was not a surprise as it seems that few companies use the iPad connector to draw power from. I am not disappointed, but it is something to consider if you are comparing it to the Apple Magic Keyboard. The upside here is that it doesn’t drain your iPad battery and it seems that one charge will last a very long time. ` Oddly enough, when the keyboard is not in use, it stays connected magnetically to the outside case facing inward, which blends with the case, and you can’t tell there’s a keyboard there. I like the idea but at that point the magnet, which is strong when the keyboard is in use, becomes too weak and the keyboard falls off very easily. Since it is impossible to place the keyboard with the keys pointing outward, it is easy to assume there is a magnet on the back of the keyboard which explains while it is repelled if you don’t insert it with the keys pointing inward. Unfortunately, the keys add distance between the keyboard and the case magnets which explains the issue. Also, it does not have something to hold the Apple pencil in place. I mostly blame Apple for not designing something to ensure the Pencil won’t fall off that weak magnet, but it would have been nice if this case had something to help with that flaw. But please do not think I didn’t like the case or the keyboard. I have tried 6 other similar cases, and this is my favorite by far. I still recommend it.

This Logitech case truly impresses you with its removable keyboard that maintains screen protection, making the iPad much lighter for standalone use, and its premium, Apple-level design that "nailed" the aesthetics crucial for work. You also highly value its multi-device connectivity for seamless switching between your iPhone and your wife's iPad, though its external charging and a weak magnetic hold for the stowed keyboard (due to keys creating distance) are noted minor drawbacks. Despite these, it remains your "favorite by far" among similar cases, earning your strong recommendation for its overall well-thought-out features and functionality. Logitech

Overall I'm a fan of this case, but there are a few things preventing me from rating 5 stars. First, the good. the case and keyboard are built with what feels like quality materials (I have some lifespan worries though), and the keyboard was very easy to pair with the iPad. The hinge, and included instructions, are a bit confusing but once you know how to use the hinge it is very easy. In order to put the stand in kickstand mode, you open the case, fold upwards (against the direction you'd think) then rotate the whole thing under to the other side. There are only pictures on the instructions, and it's not very obvious what to do. Like I said, though, once you understand it, it is very easy to do. The keyboard is a bluetooth keyboard that has nice feeling keys and pairs easily to multiple devices. It is not rechargeable, and uses coin type batteries. My issue with the keyboard is while it is nice that it magnetically attaches to the case, it detaches easily and I can never seem to get the stand in "kickstand" mode without the keyboard falling off. The majority of the time I do NOT use the keyboard, but there are times I need it so I still carry it with. Typing on the keyboard has a nice click feel to it, and I like using it....it's just the storage issue for me. Lastly, I worry about longevity of the case. The material is already creasing in the hinge where it bends to turn it into kickstand mode. I'm not sure how long it will last with repeated use without cracking. Overall, I like the case and will keep using it, but there are some things to improve on.

The Logitech Flip Fold keyboard case for the iPad Pro is a good alternative if you are not looking to spend over $300 for an Apple Magic Keyboard. The case is well built and magnetically attaches to the iPad via magnets. You do have the option to place the iPad in a landscape to portrait orientation however I would prefer the landscape orientation because it did not feel as secure in portrait orientation. The best use case scenario for the potrait orientation would be if you wanted to have your iPad and phone side by side. The keyboard can magnetically attach to the back of the folio case and is connected to your device and to 2 other devices via bluetooth, There are 3 distinct buttons on the keyboard that allow you to switch your connection between 3 different devices. This works great if you are working with your phone and iPad in the same setup. The keyboard is powered by CR2016 batteries which should last approximately 2 years according to Logitech. It's nice to have the option of using the case without the keyboard in front of you as would be the case with the apple Magic Keyboard however I really wish the keyboard has some sort of track pad/track ball on it so that you do not have to always touch the screen of your device. Overall Logitech continues to impress with there cases and accessories and I have no doubt that this case will last for a long time to come

You're finding the Logitech Flip Folio Keyboard Case for iPad Pro 13-inch a good, well-built, magnetically attaching alternative to the Apple Magic Keyboard, appreciating its landscape-to-portrait option (though preferring landscape for security), the keyboard's multi-device Bluetooth connectivity with distinct switching buttons (great for phone and iPad side-by-side work), its CR2016 battery power, and the flexibility of detaching the keyboard, while still wishing for an integrated trackpad/trackball. Overall nice option to make your Ipad more like a computer work station. I was a little thrown off at first by the case being attached by magnets, but it seems pretty securely on there. The piece that flips in the back seems backward to the way you would think it would work but there is a picture that makes it fairly clear as to how it works. It snaps back and forth easily and stays securely in the position you set it in. I am curious of this spring type mechanism will become less stiff over time and may be an issue, but as of now it works just fine. The keyboard is small so it may take a minute to get used to typing on, but this is pretty typical when figuring out a new keyboard. There are a couple options for how to slant the screen so that you can watch a movie or video with it slanted back or type with it slanted at a greater angle. The keyboard can easily be left behind if you want to travel and don't have space for it since it is detached. It does leave you carrying two separate pieces though.

Let me begin by saying that I have been a loyal and very satisfied Logitech customer for years and love all their products. However, I am giving this review honestly and while there are things I like, there are some I do not like. What I like - 1. Price - it is very competitive with the marketplace and a great value for what it is. 2. Flexible - I like the detachable keyboard which attaches to the back magnetically when stored (but this is also one of my dislikes). 3. Abilty to stand up the I Pad for better usability. 4. Material - it does not mar up like the Apple Magic keyboard. 5. Protection appears to be right up there. What I dislike - 1. The magnetic attachment of the keyboard for storage. Although it is convenient, I have knocked it off a couple of times and was not treating it rough. 2. The keyboard is not backlit which I suppose helps the battery life, but I have gotten used to backlight on my computers and on my Apple Magic keyboard. This certainly is subjective and may not matter one whit to many users. 3. The compactness of the keyboard takes a bit of adjustment, and the lack of a trackpad I suppose is because of the form factor, but some sort of old-style trackball makes sense and does not take up a lot of real estate. All designs are a compromise, and this is clearly one that Logitech made in favor of compact. 4. I expected the weight to be much less than the Apple Magic keyboard, but since I did not weigh it with a scale, it feels about the same weight to me. Also, the thickness is about the same as Apple. Overall, I like it, especially the value of the price for what it is, but it has some compomises that some may feel limiting, and others find acceptable. Compared to the Apple Magic keyboard, it is not in the same class, but it does not compete at Apple's price either. While I prefer Apple's version over this one, consider if it is worth the extra money. This one does most of the same things for a LOT less money and it appears to be as well built as all the other Logitech products I own. My track record with Logitech products is very good, and I expect this one to be the same. Quality matters, but so does price and value. This one hits on all the important criteria you look at in deciding what to buy. I recommend it.

I have been using an iPad case from a Logitech competitor for a while now and like the case with one exception... There is no way to set up the iPad without the keyboard (as the keyboard is a permanent part of the case). I was hoping this case would be the answer to that. Unfortunately, that is not the case (no pun intended). To begin, when upright, the hinge can only bend to a certain extent, limiting the pitch of the iPad to maybe 60° or so. The footprint when in that orientation is also rather deep/wide. I am not sure how well it will work in restricted spaces (such as on an airplane). On the other hand, the hinge does allow for very "flat" angles, so if you are drawing on the iPad and want a slightly pitched surface, this unit can do that. The unit does have a "lip" on the bottom of it that allows you to set the iPad on it in portrait orientation, which is nice, assuming you want to use your iPad in portrait (as opposed to landscape) orientation. The magnets do not hold the iPad when it is in the orientation, however, so he can slide around and a bump to the top of the iPad will flip it over. As for the keyboard, this was probably my biggest disappointment. The feel of the keys when typing is decent for something with such short travel, but the space bar feels "soft" compared to the rest of the keys, which feels strange when typing. While the keys are full size, the space bar is not as wide as it would be on a traditional keyboard. What I did not like is that the keyboard is not powered by the iPad. It needs its own batteries. Additionally, those batteries (button cell) are not rechargeable. (Logitech says the batteries last a couple months.) Even more annoying is that I cannot open the tray to remove the batteries without using a paperclip to push some internal mechanism to release the tray. As shown in the picture, the keyboard is "free floating." It does not connect to the case when in use, which can be a good or a bad thing, depending on your perspective. It does allow you to put the iPad wherever it is comfortable for your viewing while also having the keyboard wherever it is comfortable for you. On the flip side, this pretty much eliminates the ability to use the iPad with the case and keyboard as a quasi-laptop that literally sits on your lap (which is different from the case I use now). The keys are also not backlit, so if it is dark and you are not a touch typist, that may be an issue. The keyboard must also be connected by bluetooth (as opposed to connecting automatically via the electrical contacts on the iPad). I suppose that is not a big deal once set up, but I have had bluetooth connectivity issues before with other devices, so I am not keen on that when another option exists (albeit with the keyboard being tethered to the case, which is connected to the iPad). As far as the bluetooth goes, the keyboard can be synced with up to three devices, I believe, so it does provide some extra utility as it can be used with other bluetooth devices. If I wanted that, though, I would have just bought a bluetooth keyboard to begin with. Probably the thing that I cared for the least is Logitech's solution for keeping the detachable keyboard with the case. The keyboard attaches magnetically to the case. Admittedly, this is a somewhat creative solution and it works well (the keyboard does seem to stay in place, for the most part), but it also makes the case, with the iPad, significantly thicker than other competing products. Throw the unit into a bag and it is easy for the keyboard to become detached and you are fishing in the bag for your keyboard. Ultimately, I would say the case is okay, but nothing special. Personally, I prefer the case I am using now with an attached backlit keyboard that is powered by the iPad (that allows me to use the iPad as a laptop that I can actually set on my lap and use). As with most things, it really comes down to the features you want and personal preference. Again, this unit allows for a very low pitch, which could work well for someone who takes a lot of notes or draws on their iPad. For my particular uses, however, this case really does not offer anything compelling for me.

I normally love my Logitech products. But I am honestly not impressed with this. The idea was neat and why I am giving it 2 stars. But I feel they missed the mark. First, this case does not take into consideration if you have the apple pen. With this case, the pen has to rest on the top of the iPad, which keeps it always charging. This also means it is not protected, so it is easy to hit the pen and cause it to fly off. Or you have to store the pen someplace. I would have liked to have seen an extra 1/2inch or so on the bottom with a spot to store the pen. The keyboard spot is on the back of the front cover and stays by magnet. This means you must remove the keyboard if you want to use it. But this also led to the keyboard constantly falling off. I would have rather seen the keyboard built in or at least on the inside, and then a built-in stand on the back. Then you just pull the stand out if you want to use the keyboard, or if using without the keyboard then fold the keyboard/front cover to the back and have it fold like it does to use as a stand. Then add a tab so that when you do close it up, you fold that over to help keep it closed. This also adds a lot of weight. The keyboard itself is light, but the case just made my iPad heavy. I do like that the keyboard is able to separate from the case. So, I would keep it like that, just on the inside. This way, you have the option to detach the keyboard, fold the front part back to use as a stand. Some might want to use the keyboard in a different spot. The keyboard also worked great for apps that you can use it with. If you carry your iPad in a sleeve or bag, then this might be worth it. But a lot of times for me personally, I just carry my iPad around outside a bag, so this was not worth it.

I recently came back to using an ipad after several years of dealing with Android Tablets, and after reading a ton of good things about the M4 Ipad, I grabbed one, and, after buying my first ultra protective case/stand for it, I saw this Logitech product, and thought this would be a great addition to my ipad devices. For me, that turned out to be a mistake.. First of all, there is no place to permanently store you Ipen, which is a major omission. Secondly, the ipad doesnt actually have a secure, supported holding area in this thing, it sort of just lays between two sheets of plastic/cardboard/what ever this is actually made of, so I always felt it could easily drop out of its "case", and that pretty much defeats the purpose of any sort of case.thirdly, I never really felt like this had an actual "kickstand" for positioning the ipad and keyboard in a secure fashion, but it requires you to sort of keep the keyboard on your lap, which isnt something I would like on an extended basis. I know Logitech makes a product that fixes all these things, but its almost 100 bucks more than this was, so its likely out of reach for most folks. I guess this folio is interesting for some users, but for me, it was a hard pass..
