I purchased this gaming mouse as a replacement for my previous mouse that I had bought off of Amazon for $10. A lot of times, I don't buy name brand items. After buying this Logitech mouse, I will always buy name brand gaming mice. The mouse itself is extremely comfortable for my hand. It is a little smaller than other gaming mice, but I like this one a lot. The mouse feels well built and sturdy enough that it will last for quite some time. I have downloaded the LG G software from their website and it found my mouse right away. I have not explored the different features the software provides in depth yet, but you are able to set custom Hot Keys for the mouses other buttons. You can set these settings to different colors of the mouse as well. For instance, want special hot keys for Battlefield? Make your custom settings and apply it to the color yellow. StarCraft - set it to the color blue and so on. I do enjoy that feature a lot. If you are looking for a more in depth mouse with more features, I do recommend the more expensive ones. If you are on a budget and looking for a comfortable gaming mouse with some features, this should meet your needs.

When my old tired mouse at work stopped working, I 'upgraded' to a Logitech wireless M525. I've never wanted to throw a mouse across the room the way I did with the M525. I tried moving the dongle to the front of the PC to get a stronger signal, which did help some, but in general the cursor would hang &/or get lost a little too often to make it acceptable for all day use. That's when I 'UP-upgraded' to this wired G300s. I use it to navigate just about every task I perform as a medical coder/biller and, especially after my frustration with wireless, it is an absolute pleasure to steer the G300s. I like the clicky, tactile feel of the buttons and the scroll wheel. I have smallish hands and this mouse is perfect for my claw-grip style. It is ambidextrous and thus symmetrical, which I find gives it a satisfying balance. Though it isn't weighted, it feels plenty sturdy to me - and for office use, it is not overly aggressive-looking (the way most "gaming" mice look). Very pleased after first month or so of use, and I've not even tapped into the ways I could be more efficient using the programmable buttons.

This mouse is really really good it sits comfortably in your hand so it can just rest there, no strain, all game. And the matte material also feels nice. I’m really a fan of the way the buttons are arrayed because you can access them nice and quickly. My one gripe is that due to its plastic construction it is somewhat fragile. Not super fragile but a good fall will break it internally. The hard plastic exterior didn’t even get scuffed after a fall onto hardwood flooring. Oh and the usb began to fray internally just before that fatal fall but beyond that I definitely recommend this if you aren’t a fan of claw grip mice or are just looking for a good, fancy, but inexpensive, 6 button mouse.

The locations of the side buttons on this mouse are in a weird spot. I knew this before buying it, but it wasn't until I started using it that I realized how un-ergonomic they were. I play a lot of video games, which includes first person shooters, and having the 4 side buttons where they're at just straight up doesn't work when you're having to use the two primary buttons and then having to slide you finger to tap one of the others and winding up ruining your shot. A lack of thumb buttons was a huge let down for me. I thought I'd be able to adapt to it, but I never was. Once you have side thumb buttons, you never want to not have them. The mouse is also a bit small for my taste. I prefer a mouse that fits my whole hand and not one that I have to curl up my fingers to use. All in all, it's a well build mouse, just not in my personal taste.

I've always used a larger mouse for as long as I can remember, all of them palm gripped. After buying this, I now know my preferred mouse is finger gripped. It's light, smooth on any surface, and tracks accurately. Lift off tracking isn't a problem, and since the mouse is so light it's easier to maneuver around, and requires much less desk space. The extra top buttons are easy to press with either my index finger or ring finger or middle finger. The extra feature of having the lighting options is nice but I rarely fiddle with it after I've chosen my color. Logitech software is, as always, not too system resource heavy, and the option to save my setting in the mouse itself is definitely a plus. Overall this is a great mouse. It's light, tracks well, and there's ample buttons to satisfy even some MMO gamers.

The mouse is incredible for it's price, it makes a lot of gaming mice look bad for the prices they sell at. While it has its pros it also has its cons, the sensitivity goes up to 2500 dpi which is good but once it hits about 1800 the stutter becomes noticeable which makes it slightly irritating to do delicate tasks, the wire isn't braided which causes some issue for me but nothing that can't be fixed, it is a very nice and good all around mouse which is why it gets 4 stars and thought the mouse buttons are unorthodox they're very easy to use and the functionality goes further than any other mouse I've ever used before. I would recommend this mouse to anyone currently looking for a gaming mouse. it's definitely worth it.

I did a little research before I purchased a new mouse, and couldn't find the same mouse that I had been using, so I chose one from the same brand. Logitech has never let me down with their mice, so I decided to go with this particular one. Pros: -Left or Right Hand curve on mouse - 20,000 DPI which is very fluid -Lots of buttons to set for Macros - Color of light can be changed on the fly - Price Cons: - Awkward button placement on right side of mouse, which can cause certain buttons to be hit that were not meant to be pressed. - The mouse is a little on the light side, which may be a problem for some people.

Lots of buttons for hot keys

This mouse has a lot of buttons for hot keys, and the ability to scroll through profiles within a game and using even more hot keys. This is a function that doesn't affect the default profiles, or profiles you use in other games (as an example, the profiles I use in The Sims 3 are never able to be used in World of Warcraft). It is very versatile, and could potentially make it so you don't need to use a keyboard at all to play a game, everything could be done with the mouse. The mouse LED lights are the way you distinguish between profiles, which is fun, and a great pop of color to a mostly non descript mouse. You also have the ability to have no light if that is what you prefer. If I had to go back, I'd definitely purchase this mouse again.

I love this mouse. Even if you aren't a gamer (like me) you can program this mouse for different programs. I have one setting for general browsing and one for Photoshop. My only issue was with the installation of the Logitech gaming software. It installed but I couldn't get it to start. I had the mouse plugged into a USB 3 port. When I moved it to a USB 2 port, the software started and I was able to customize the mouse. Then I moved it back to the USB 3 port and the customization still worked. I still have to move it back to the USB 2 port to make any changes but that will be seldom. I have average sized hands and this mouse is very comfortable for lengthy use. All of the buttons are placed in convenient locations.

This simple gaming mouse is pretty basic as far as controls go. It doesn't have the keypad on the side or any of the other gadgets...it's a 10-button mouse that's programmable with the Logitech software downloadable from Logitech.com and is easy to program. Not too big and (IMO) not too small. I bought this to replace a similar model when the left click essentially broke...it had lasted roughly three year or so prior to that, which included traveling with an Alienware gaming laptop as well as everyday use on my desktop PC. Great for my needs and an easy pick if you're looking for a simpler mouse but with some programmable features.

What a great value buy. This is an ambidextrous mouse so there are no thumb buttons. I have an average sized hand and I needed to replacing the first gen g7 logitech wireless gaming mouse. The programmable buttons took a few minutes to get used to but they are strategically placed so you wont have problems finding it. I like that you have 3 programmable modes that you can either save to the mouse or control via the extra app available from logitech. This is a great value buy as it has adjustable DPI functions. Nothing beats a wireless mouse BUT this one is an exceptional value gaming mouse from a trusted brand.

Really good as i thought. It's a bit different and small. Only if they could made this bigger like the other ones but i was on a budget and i had no choice and got this. And i was blown at how it performed. I recommend using a good mouse mat. Stay away from Speed mouse mats. Stick with low accurate ones since this mouse cooperates better at low dpi. I recommend buy it if you need it for low profile gaming. I have yet tried FPS games but i have a feeling it will do superb.

I have used this mouse for years. I recently had to replace it, and this was the newest version. I play a lot of online games, and I really don't like the complexity of a MMO or other gaming mouse. This is simple yet effective. It feels great in my hand, the buttons are easy to reach, and the scroll wheel feels nice. My previous Logitech (the previous version of this mouse) was replaced due to normal wear and tear. They just wear out after years of heavy use. For $30, you cannot go wrong with this mouse. I only use Logitech for my mouse, keyboard, and head sets. Great product, great company.

I bought this looking for a cheap replacement to my old mouse. For the price, it’s pretty good. The buttons are fast and responsive, and the software works well. The small size might be a drawback for people with big hands that use a full palm grip. Heads up though, it’s not full RGB. You can change the accent lighting, but there are only a few colors available, and there is no color cycling or any special effects. Overall though, if you need good mouse for gaming on the go, this is a solid pick up.

I got this mouse primarily because I wanted something to use playing Battlefield 4, but would also be practical for general purpose use. It is small and I do find myself hitting some buttons along the main buttons accidentally (generally the front right next to main button) but only occasionally. I was able to easily program the mouse to suit me for BF4, and plan to assign buttons to Photoshop as well. Note that this is a pretty small mouse; I use a mostly palm grip. I would not attempt to use three fingers (two buttons and one for scroll wheel), it would be too cramped.

Good mouse great for most games when extra buttons are needed. Without over doing it with tons of extra buttons that most of the time are not needed or useless. RBG is okay not tons of colors but you should have no problem matching a custom build PC or keyboard color scheme. Nice dtp speed controls and good gaming software app from Logitech. Only down side is the Logo does not light up only the side of the mouse and the center wheel has a cheap feel and makes a little bit of noise it not squeaking but it makes noise just the same.

Bought this mouse for my new high end gaming PC and was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. I think this mouse is an excellent value. I have had it for 3 months and have no complaints about it. The only issue I had was the fact that to customize the mouse (extra buttons/light color) you have to download a program from the Logitech website rather than just having a disk or jump drive with the program in the box with the mouse. If you are looking for an excellent gaming mouse on the cheap, go with this one.

I got this mouse because all the buttons were on top and I thought yes finally no searching for the buttons to play. Well downfall is I have big hands and they just engulfed this mouse. There was no way to use the top buttons to do what I needed to do . If you wanted a mouse for a laptop or take to class then this would work well. But for trying to play games and hit buttons fast, no dice. Probably great for some, but did not work out for me. Would love to see a larger style of this mouse be made by Logitech in the future.

I don't know why Best Buy wants me to review a returned item but here it is. The mouse was too thin by far and the buttons on the left and right buttons made it unforgiving to anyone who would say they are a grown man. On top of being too thin the thing was just far to short. It felt like I was trying to hold onto a hard boiled egg would be my description. I don't have unusually large hands. I'm just a regular guy. Maybe they designed these for teens or something. I don't know what else to say.

It has a sleek design making it comfortable for gaming. The buttons are convenient for gaming. It was a little difficult programming the buttons, but once they are programmed it makes games easier. Depending on the game, its more helpful. If you have a game where you press the same 2 or 3 buttons alot, this mouse is excellent. This type of mouse is so convenient if I could go back, it is worth spending more money on a mouse with more buttons because its so helpful.
