The mouse itself looks rather daunting for someone who has only used the regular 2-button mouses. But, it feels nice for me (the grip texture helps keep it from sliding around), and the additional weights bring the mouse into a comfortable weight range for me. The thumb click is a but too far up for me to reach comfortably, and the wheel "clicky" setting is a bit too stiff for me as well. Otherwise, this is a perfectly good mouse that I'm happy that I decided to get.

For the price of this mouse this gaming mouse is great. You will see that it molds to your hands very well and it has a nice thumb rest. Only think I dislike about this mouse its the futuristic look they gave to it. Other than that is is a great mouse so far.

I bought this mouse after my old one started double clicking on single clicks. I use this for photo editing and require a high prescision mouse which this meets. Also comes with individual game profiles which I have not tried out yet.

My old razer naga finally took it's last breath, and since I really hate the new naga I decided to give this one a try after a friend recommended it to me. Mouse buttons: They're fine. Scroll wheel: The ability to unlock the scroll wheel is fun and occasionally useful when browsing reddit. Compared to the Naga, the middle mouse button is too stiff and hard to press so I tend not to use it. It is not the greatest scroll wheel. Index finger buttons: I don't use these at all, I unbound them. They are a bit out of the way, but if you wanted to use them for back/forward buttons that would be fine. They feel kind of cheap. The two buttons above thumb rest: I use these for media keys (pause/play), they work and are in a good position. The single button in front of thumb: I hate this button it is a stupid button. The mouse would be better without this button. Overall about a 4/5 maybe 7/10, maybe 5/7. It only has one light up thing compared to my old naga which had lots of light up things.

This is my first gaming mouse but I absolutely love it. My favorite feature is the ability to change the sensitivity with a single mouse click which makes sniping so much easier in Battlefield and other shooters. I would recommend this mouse to any gamer.

Great mouse, got it for my wife's pc and the removable weights give it a good hefty feel. My only issue is with the scroll wheel sometimes stopping in between detents and it'll randomly scroll up or down one notch which is mildly annoying but not a deal breaker

I've bought other gaming mice but they wouldn't even work without special software. There were no explanations even at the download site. This mouse was Plug and Play. It can be customized but I just wanted to be able to play now.

With a plethora of gaming mice available to consumers, this one stands out to me the most. Ergonomically it the mouse has a very comfortable feel and grip to it, accommodating all kinds of hand sizes grips. The additional buttons don't get in the way and they are easy to reach when needed, a very natural feel with their location. The customization with the mouse buttons is amazing for a multitude of applications and games if you know your way around the software.

I bought the G502 Proteus Core to replace a Logitech G500, which finally gave up the ghost after years of faithful service. I've been very pleased by the G502's precision, programmability, and comfort. I will note that, if you have large hands, or more specifically, large thumbs, you may find yourself accidentally pressing the left-side buttons when you didn't intend to, as they are very close to the thumb rest. Depending on how you grip your mouse, this may or may not be a problem. Still, this is a great product, especially if you can catch it on sale.
