Great gaming mouse with just enough buttons

I bought this gaming mouse to replace another gaming mouse with buttons that broke in far too fast. Though the placements of the buttons are different, the amount of buttons needed were correct. Every button is changeable through the software that you download from Logitech. (That includes the Non-G Buttons too!) In addition, the changes you make can be saved on the Mouse's memory. That way everything is retained even on another PC that doesn't have a logitech software and you can't install it. My only complaint about this gaming mouse is its size. Its a bit on the small side and though adjusting has been fairly fast, the placements of buttons sometimes cause me to make mistakes. Overall I am happy with this purchase and like its customization!

It has a good weight to it right out of the box, and if you want it heavier it comes with additional weights that can be added. Multiple DPI settings you can switch between on the fly is great, and the software it comes with for changing these settings is pretty intuitive.

My Wife refers to me as "Yo-CLUB HANDS or CLAW HANDS" because I have such short , fat, stubby fingers and big hands. Ive never noticed myself to be honest. But the Logitech G502 Proteus Mouse fits perfect, feel comfortable and works great! The G602 is just as good, but that is a 'wireless' mouse which I have used, but switched to the G502 so I wouldnt need to have batteries to change.

I bought this mouse to replace my older mouse as my hand never seemed to quite get used to it and was causing pain more often that not. I haven't gone through all of the features yet, but from what I can tell, it is a good mouse. This mouse has gotten praise from a lot of people recommending it. The only thing that slightly bothers me about it is that I wish it had a higher arch. I'm somewhere in-between a claw and fingertip user, and that's why I think it bugs me slightly. Still, the pain that I had with the other mouse is gone, so this was well worth it as far as I'm concerned.

With so many options for gaming mouse it's hard to know what is really needed and what can benefit you. id say that the gaming mice with multiple mapable buttons are a little overkill this mouse has just what you need nothing more and nothing less. me being a bit of a trash gamer I need every advantage I can get so I prefer the wired mouse for zero latency via USB plug and play. download the Logitech software and pick your RBG colors and patterns map the toggle buttons and easy to find single thumb button for what ever you want (I used mine for push to talk functions of games) and save up to 3 different profiles so you can have setting for different games reedy to go all the time. not to mention it was super affordable compared to other gaming mice with similar functions.

This mouse fits perfectly for average-sized hands. Weights add enough resistance to balance high-DPI settings, and the thumb buttons - for once - actually sit perfectly where they're easily pressed by the thumb   (compared to the G900, where they're so awkwardly-placed and not easily distinguished without you having to look.) Finally, it's surfaces have real rubber where it counts, and the plastic components are easy to wipe off. Good riddance to plastic coated over with rubberized paint! (Again, comparing with the G900 - where contact surfaces "rub off" very quickly due to saturation of skin oils, etc.) The only thing that would have been great with this mouse is if the scroll wheel had rubber tracks like the G900. Overall, great mouse - would recommend to anyone looking for a good, reliable, all-around wired right-hand mouse --- for gaming or otherwise.

I purchased this mouse since I have had great experience with earlier Logitech mice (G500, MX518, MX510, G7, etc). Some mice did develop double-clicking issue but Logitech warranty was great in getting them replaced. That said, G502 seems to require more effort to like it. It is also slightly shorter than MX518. Still getting use to wheel-clicking. Definitely it's not love at first sight! Also the Logitech mouse driver messed up my Windows 10 Insider setup and I had to spend almost two days to reimage the HDD. also, I don't use its many gaming features so I may not appreciate all the capabilities it has. Hope your experience is better.

i replaced 4 logitech mx performance at the time (100$) mice used on cad machines for these... i have used it for games and i am completely satisfied. the wired mouse is not a problem for me as now i can get great game control from couch and rolling table to my 65in 4k monitor.. everything at ultra and maxed out no wireless signal problems anymore..adjustable dpi and custom buttons add productivity.

Great optical sensor, with really good clicks. Main reason I purchased the G502 was for the clicks and sensor, as a FPS gamer. I've noticed that not only has my aim increased, but my CPS (clicks per second) has also increased as well. Mouse is a little on the big side, but not an issue, and the extra weights seem pointless to me at least. Important thing to note, is the button below the scroll wheel toggles whether the scroll wheel free spins, or is like a normal scroll wheel. Mine was on the free spin when I opened it and was impossible to control. The G is the only LED, which isn't obnoxious. Has a nice braided cable. A few of the side buttons seem pointless to me and over the top, but overall a great mouse and I highly recommend. Was debating between this and the G302.

This is a very nice mouse. There are lots of options you can choose to program your buttons. Some of the buttons on the side seem very sensitive and I press them on accident just moving the mouse. Might just need to get used to it. The scroll wheel has a smooth scroll and a click scroll. The click is much too defined and is loud so scrolling a web page with the click on is annoying. The smooth scroll is very smooth. The scroll wheel is metal with little ridges and I would have preferred a rubberized wheel like on the G5 mouse. This is a great mouse and it will serve it's purpose for gaming. just a few things I would like to see incorporated in to the next mouse gen.

Using an ergonomic trackball mouse to prevent carpal tunnel, I noticed I was terrible at fps's. After upgrading to this luminescent bad boy, my games have been much better. I get so many kills! The programmable buttons are great but what really sold me was the customizable color gamut. any color I want and Bam! Done. Matches well with my headset.

Best mouse for photo processing software

Immensely satisfying; I having memory issues with short-cuts, I much prefer the natural extension of using this mouse. Programing the buttons supporting several profiles (I use 3: 2 for photo-editing, and business/home; it has me now interested in trying a game or two, too). I was planning on an 'ergo' mouse/trackball: tried 3, saw a review about using gaming mouse for photo-editing; so, tried, and wow....really nice, comfortable positioning -- I read a blog how to initially place the custom weights -- added an extra: mouse is 'neutrally' smooth, further enhanced by the cloth cord because it is't stiff; this mouse can be programed to what ever pad you use...it works. I mated it to the Logitech G240 cloth gaming pad--that purchased because of its design to support precision game playing -- perfect, smoothness for controlling/positioning photo-edit software tools....programing shortcuts and tool selections into select mouse buttons is awesome; software makes it relatively easy -- makes editing more fun, and efficient....and, I know this is silly, but, I really like how you can program a blue light to 'breath' inside it...I'm 62 years old....this should not be confined to your grandkids' use...get one...it and pad are the best---oh, I added a wrist pad, too -- perfect comfort for hours--though I should be getting out of the chair more often.

Setup was inconsequential. I added all of the weights to it to prevent it from moving slightly on it's own. After the USB cable starts to conform to my desk I'll experiment with weight adjustment. Fits my hand very well and is a lot more precise than my old generic mouse. If precision is needed without breaking the bank, this is a good, solid, midrange priced mouse.

Replaced my old G500 and am loving this mouse. Shape and size are great. Only minor nit is that the G500 had two buttons to select speed up/down, but they were replaced by a single button so you sometimes have to press multiple times to get the speed you want. Not ideal, but still functional. 12000 dps is really nice with a 4k display.
