When it comes to headsets, I'm a bit of a snob, but not about sound quality. I get headaches easily, so weight and clamping pressure are major issues with many headsets, and I also want sidetone (mic monitoring) so I can make sure I'm not shouting into the mic. These two desired features eliminate most headsets on the market currently, and I've tried A LOT of them!
I've been using a wired Razer BlackShark V2 (which is very comfortable and has sidetone), but I got tired of getting tangled in the cord and wanted a wireless headset for my new couch gaming PC.
After days of research and realizing I couldn't rationalize spending $300 on "pro" wireless headsets like the Astro A50, I narrowed my choices to the new SteelSeries Arctis 7P+ (which has a sidetone wheel on the ear cup), Logitech G733, and this new G535 that isn't even listed on Logitech's website yet.
The main differences between the Logitech G733 and 535 wireless headsets appear to be the RGB lighting on the 733 and the flip-to-mute microphone on the 535. Since RGB lights only deplete the battery faster (and can't be seen while you wear them anyhow), and I loathe headsets without detachable or flip-up microphones, I decided to take a chance on the brand new Logitech 535 headset...and I'm glad I did.
I'm a middle-aged woman with a big head, and this headset with its elastic headband fits perfectly and is SO comfortable! The elastic band is stretchy and barely is felt while wearing, the ear cups have soft cushioned fabric, and the headset's clamping pressure is very gentle. I also ordered the SteelSeries Arctis 7P+, and the Logitech 535s are noticeably lighter weight (the Arctis is mostly metal) and much more comfortable on my sensitive noggin due to less clamping pressure. Plus, the USB dongle on the 535 doesn't block adjacent PC ports like the wide USB-C dongle on the Arctis 7P+.
Yes, you need to install Logitech's G Hub software in order to enable sidetone on the 535 headset, but you also then have access to customize equalizer settings (see my photo) and adjust other mic settings. If you've never used sidetone, I highly recommend trying it, as you'll likely never want another headset without it. My ONLY gripe is that the 535's sidetone only seems to be active when the microphone is being used...which makes sense, but I'm used to my Razer headset's always-on sidetone that allows me to monitor room sounds even when the mic is not being used.
Since I have only used my headset for a day (and Best Buy doesn't allow reviews to be updated later), I cannot attest to battery life or all-day comfort of the 535, but sound and mic quality are perfectly fine for my needs, though I'm no audiophile. If you are super picky about sound quality, you'll probably want to look at the "pro" headsets anyhow, but for basic audio and impressive features and comfort, the Logitech 535 is an excellent deal in my opinion! Plus, the reversible purple and blue elastic band looks so sharp with the all-black plastic headset.

For the price they’re a great set of gaming headphones. I’ve owned a few pairs of headphones and they’ve all broken on me or have cracked in little time. I’ve had these headphones for about a year now and haven’t had complaints regarding the microphone audio on discord and haven’t had an issue with hearing audio from games or videos online (both issues I’ve had with previous headphones). These are a great set of headphones to start off your gaming journey with!!

Seems unfair that I can't give this product more than five stars. As someone who goes out of their way to find earbuds for every situation due to the discomfort of an over-the-ear headset, the G535 has just landed as the only exception I've found. They're insanely lightweight, super sleek in appearance, incredibly comfortable, and the audio quality is fantastic. I'm assuming this is a newer design with headsets, but the wider head support and fabric headband is a really great idea. The G604 is perhaps the best gaming mouse I've ever used and the MX Keys is my daily keyboard for my career as a Technical Writer. From my experience, Logitech equipment never ceases to deliver exceptional quality.

They are very good. I recommend them. Honestly, they have a very good microphone and it sounds very good and they are not so expensive and they are of a good brand. If you are looking for headphones to play and with a microphone and that do not cost more than 100 dollars. These would be perfect

This is the third Logitech headset I have owned over the years, and as with my others, it has not failed to impress.
This headset was easy to set up and the Logitech GHub software on Windows is, I would contest, some of the best and most easy to use in the gaming industry. It is very reliable as software goes with minimal crashes and other issues. Hooking up the headset with the included lightspeed USB-A adapter worked seamlessly. This same connector can hook up to a PlayStation, so this headset is very flexible in that regard!
The headset itself is a bold and interesting departure from what I have traditionally seen in my other gaming headsets. The adjustment of the headband comes from two points: a multicolored reversible soft suspension strap that has two adjustment positions and the earcups slide up and down with about an inch of adjustment. I have an average sized dome for a dude, so the longer of the two adjustments on the headband that it came set on fit me well. The smaller adjustment seems like it would fit adolescent and/or smaller heads well. Be warned though, if you have a huge cranium, we are talking about those of you who are afraid to tear crew neck tee shirt head holes etc., this may lack the adjustability to be comfortable for you. I actually quite like this suspension headband set up as it relieves your head from having to have thick foam shoved against it. This, in effect, means that your head stays cooler which I appreciate for my marathon gaming sessions!
The earcups of this headset are a nice, rectangular yet contoured shape that feel as if they achieve a nice seal with without being overly constricting. The cups are also, thankfully, nice and cool. You could cook some over-easy eggs on my ear lobes when they get hot from a long gaming session, so I was pleased to find that the headset earcups present here did not roast my ears.
The battery life on this headset is EXCELLENT. They claim 33 hours on 50% volume, but I am currently pushing 25 hours on one charge at almost max volume with 15% of my battery left. That is amazing to me. An included USB-C cable charges this headset.
As it goes for the all-important audio experience, I find these to be probably a 7 out of 10 on the scale of my audiophilic desires with gaming headsets. The EQ adjustments are great in the software and even as it comes setup from Logitech, the sound is excellent. I play a game called Hunt Showdown that utilizes binaural audio as part of its gameplay. To be competitive in this often stealth-driven game, having excellent audio is crucial. This G535 headset exceeded my expectations in-game as I was able to track footsteps and movements of other players with great accuracy. The general listening experience is great too. I ran through my playlist on Spotify and while I am always craving a little more bass, I found that these had balanced trebles, mids, and bass all the way through. I found I like the FPS EQ setting the best for my overall listening experience. I will note that the max volume on this headset is lower than my previous headset, but this is not too great a concern for me as I probably need to not be listening to my music so loud anyways, haha. The microphone flips up and down for mute which I like for a microphone in general on headsets as this also gets it out of my way when I am not gaming. The audio quality of the microphone is great; my friends I game with and hang out with on Discord could hear me loud and clear with no complaints of static or inconsistent voice signature.
Altogether, I give this headset a solid 5/5 recommendation for a great wireless headset that is not overcomplicated in its build or features yet offers a distinctly excellent user experience all while being comfortable and easy to set up. Thanks for reading and hope this helps guide your purchase decision!

A Solid All Arounder

SOUND QUALITY:
This is a treble focused sound signature. Meaning that you are going to be able to hear footsteps, reloads, and other higher pitched sounds easier. This can come across at times as harsh and fatiguing until you acclimate. But in my opinion makes for a great competitive headset. As it also has a good soundstage and great imaging. The soundstage is still probably small/medium in size where things feel like they are slightly outside of your head and the imaging is surprisingly accurate. There were multiple times that I was able to turn and shoot someone just from audio alone with high precision or run someone down that I couldn’t see and know their exact location. However, I did notice some distortion at times that I can’t decide are from the drivers or from the wireless catching some interference. If I’m being nit picky sounds weren’t 100% accurate but pretty darn close. Mids are average and bass for most will be a bit light. I would say they were more “accurate” over booming/rumbling. So, if you are a bass head you won’t like these. Which again leads to a good competitive headphone as you aren’t getting bass that bleeds into other sounds or masks them. But also means that for music they don’t do an amazing job (but I was still pleasantly surprised due to the soundstage. Treble focus made vocals shine, and imaging allowed you to pull apart the different parts of a song easily) but instruments sounded a bit off and bass heavy songs sounded anemic. I enjoyed media on it as well. As the same things ring true. But if you are watching an action movie with a lot of explosions your world isn’t going to be rocked. And vocals aren’t going to have as much warmth and depth as they may have with higher end or different sounding headphones/headsets. In the end I’d give it a 7.5/10 for sound.
MICROPHONE:
They report this is a Discord Certified microphone which means it went through testing and had to meet a certain standard. I found that it sounded pretty good. My friends rated it a 6/10. I’d say the same. Where you can hear what the person is saying just fine and it captures a bit of the low end to make a voice sound naturalish. But is still treble focused meaning voices aren’t fully accurate. Don’t expect studio level sound from these.
PROS:
- Very comfortable with a mildly adjustable headband that supports up/down movement with mild tilt. Earcup depth is good. But if you have large and/or ears that stick out a lot they may rub against the drivers. Clamping force is just right, not too snug but not light either. Most of the time I forgot they were on my head.
- They are open back (which means that they have an open sound to them and you can hear everything going on around you and there is sound bleed to those around you). Which can be a pro or a con depending on preference. But most prefer this sound signature for gaming.
- Lightweight (236 grams).
- Good build quality. Plastic design is very durable. My only concern would be the main hinges if you really cranked on them. But the plastic bends (on purpose) so I don’t think you really need to worry.
- Microphone when down doesn’t obstruct vision. When you flip to mute it makes a jingle both when the mic is hot and when it is muted.
- Fantastic imaging. Good soundstage.
- Treble focus makes it good for competitive gaming and acceptable for media/music.
- Wireless works great without any drops. But I’m wondering if the distortion I was experiencing was from slight interference over the drivers distorting.
- Attractive design.
- Works on PS4, PS5, and PC. Can work wireless or wired.
- Goodish battery life. Short charge time.
CONS:
- Microphone quality is acceptable/average.
- Lacks bass. But bass does seem moderately accurate.
- Not so great for loosing yourself in a single player campaign, movie, or music. But still does a perfectly acceptable job.
- If they could add a slot that I could slide the dongle into for travel that would be awesome.
CONCLUSION:
Headsets are designed for a specific purpose. Finding a headset that “does it all” is exceedingly difficult and almost impossible. It took me a long time to learn that after trying a ridiculous amount of headsets and headphones. These are treble focused with good soundstage and imaging. Meaning they do a solid job at competitive gaming. They don’t excel at single player gaming, music, or media. That’s not to say they do a bad job but I found they did more of an and average/slight above average job at it. Nobody will complain about the sound except for being bass light. As consumers on average tend to prefer overemphasized bass which often ruins the rest of the sound. The microphone itself is also fine. I think some will find it disappointing but not terrible. Comfort is excellent. I can easily wear it all day long without issues. Battery is good. USB C connector can be used to charge and play at the same time. Build quality is great. Volume wheel feels great and doesn’t wobble with defined steps. Power on/off is good. Flip to mute works well. Microphone doesn’t obstruct view. I didn’t have issues with wireless connection at all, I think. They were comfortable with glasses. Overall, this is a SOLID headset. It’s not great, its not bad, but it does more right than wrong, and I can recommend it. Just don’t expect to be totally awestruck by it. In the end overall rating would be a 7/10.

Best Buy Tech Insider Network
POWERFUL CLEAR HEADSET G535 – ATMOS?
OVERALL
As always you need to test out lots of headphones to find what is best for you, your systems, your listening environment. The LOGITECH - G535 LIGHTSPEED WIRELESS HEADSET is one of the better sounding wireless headsets I have tried in a while, especially at this price point.
I put a “?” next to ATMOS because other than the Best Buy site, nobody else claims the G535 headset ATMOS. (at the time of this review) There is nothing on the box that says ATMOS or on any literature I’ve been able to find. My guess, purely speculation, is that LOGITECH did not complete a licensing agreement (yet?) so they had to drop the ATMOS claims and logo. That being said as long as you properly configure them with that DOLBY ACCESS APP you will get decent emulated surround sound. Keep in mind there are only 2 speakers, so unless you spend a lot more you won’t get true multi-speaker surround sound anyway.
For wireless headsets the LOGITECH - G535 LIGHTSPEED WIRELESS HEADSET sound almost as good as my “best” wired headset, but with the freedom of being wireless.
SETUP
My main test was on my PC, so the setup is only to plug in the USB Dongle and start using them. There is an included USB-A to USB-C cable included for charging them. I was able to use them for several hours without issue, and the documentation states something like 30 hours. There is no documentation, just legal stuff included with the headset.
I highly suggest you download the LOGITECH G-HUB software which allows you to enable microphone feedback (so you can better hear when you are talking) and optimize equalizer and power saving settings.
COMFORT / FIT / ETC
I 100% prefer this style of floating headset (with the band to better able distribute the weight). I have a larger head, so normally most headsets are too tight. In this case, the LOGITECH - G535 LIGHTSPEED WIRELESS HEADSET was too loose with the inside strap at its default position. Once I moved to the next step up, I had a nice snug fit. Before the adjustment they always felt like they were on the verge of falling off. Additionally, the cups can move up or down. The adjustment that worked best for me is the cups as low as possible and the band as high as possible. Short version is that the LOGITECH - G535 LIGHTSPEED WIRELESS HEADSET is very adjustable for comfort. It is also relative lightweight at about 250 grams. My best sounding wired headset comes in around 450 grams, so I definitely get some fatigue after a while. I like the flip up microphone.
AUDIO
Here is the super subjective part, that you need to try for yourself.
MY RANKING (1 – 10 Best)
- Music Playback = 8
- Conference Calls Listening = 8
- Conference Calls Microphone = 6 (a little quiet)
- Gaming Listening Quality = 8
- Gaming Spatial Awareness = 6 (left right OK not much surround Cyberpunk 2077)
- Gaming Microphone = 7 (a little quiet but does OK minimizing background noise)
The quality of the sound was good throughout the entire audio range. The low end was a tiny bit muddy, but on whole everything was crisp and well balanced.
SUMMARY / CONCLUSION / RECOMMENDATION
I can overall recommend the LOGITECH - G535 LIGHTSPEED WIRELESS HEADSET. I’m not sure what is up with the ATMOS designation, but that is not a show stopper unless you have convinced yourself you must have an ATMOS certified device (I assume certification is in the works). As I said these are just below my best wired headset and above any of the other wireless headsets I have tried in this price range.

Nice headset; my ears get warm quickly

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
I’ve reviewed a number of gaming headphones before, from Logitech to Razer to Astro. This is the first headset that I had to manipulate Windows default Audio settings to get a consistent quality sound. That being said …
TL;DR for my frequent readers and details below.
Pros:
USB-C
Audio Quality
Flip-up Mic
Meh:
The feel / weight
Removable colorful band at the top of the headband
G HUB customizations
Mic doesn’t bend inward at all (mouth breather protection)
Cons:
Needs Audio Enhancements Disabled
Fans nearby generates a ton of wind noise
Very warm wearing for just a few hours
Right out of the gates, this is a super light pair of headphones with a blue / black / purple strap under the top headband; not my cup of tea. Thankfully, that colored monstrosity is removable as the headphones don’t slide too much to increase the fit size.
A flip-up/down mic is nice and rigid, however it doesn’t adjust/bend inward; this can help save us from the infamous mouth breathers, or could hurt the lower speaking players if the mic intensity isn’t bumped up.
At first, I had a terrible time with the headphones on my beefy Asus ROG. Any game playing caused distortion and choppy sound. Playing music at the same time as just having a game open was terrible. Teammates couldn’t hear me talk most of the time; I was immediately displeased. Luckily, support came to the rescue and after some pretty thorough troubleshooting steps, it was found that “Sound Enhancements” (see pic) was causing the issues and needed to be disabled. As this option can be hidden & “troubleshooting” steps through windows seems to make it available afterwards, I made a suggestion that Logitech bring this into G Hub, to ease the supportability of tuning this feature. Let’s see if it ever happens.
After making the above change, the headphones were fine and I didn’t have any more audio issues. W00t! On to the G Hub customizations. Not a fan. I find “flat” and “Bass Boost” to sound nearly identical. Sidetone is the saving grace here, I can’t play without it these days and any wired headphones that don’t have it, I use my Logi Pro X headset USB DAC with it to hack-ily get it.
Battery life is pretty decent. I ran through my initial tests and games while only losing about 10% after a few hours. Since then, I’ve played a few hours here & there and again, down 8-10%. I’d say that you could get somewhere around 15 hours before you’d want to charge these things up via USB-C (thank. God).
During game play, I found I could hear my ceiling fan and when that was off, my desk fan through the mic, so I had to kill those off during game play as to me, it sounded like I was going downhill on my Domaine AL3. In a ‘short’ gaming session, I found the wireless to be nice, but also needed to take them off as my ears got very warm with them on; I’m feeling it right now writing this review.
Overall, these are a good choice if you were in the market for a new gaming headset. Comfortable but warm. Decent sound. USB-C charging.
Do I recommend them? Sure. I’m sure I’ll still switch them out from time to time, but they’re a good Wireless headset with sidetone.
