Worst Headset I have ever bought

The Logitech G930 Wireless Headset is the WORST headset I have ever purchased. I'm a gamer and Logitech seemed like a great choice but I couldn't have been more wrong. The headset has noticeable static especially when you turn your head from left to right or up and down. It also disconnects and reconnects CONSTANTLY. Its the most irritating thing I have ever experienced in a computer product. I should have researched Logitech prior to purchasing this item because the web is full of blogs about the static and disconnecting problems with the G930 wireless headset. If it was just happening occasionally it would be ok, but it literally happens every few seconds. It's enough to drive someone CRAZY. Anyway, I have reported this problem to Logitech and they suggested some things like disconnecting the USB stick from the puck and plugging it directly into an open USB slot, checking software updates, uninstalling and reinstalling the software, moving the USB and puck away from other peripherals, etc...and like every blog I have read none of these things fixed the problem. Logitech ultimately sent me a new pair of the Wireless G930 headsets but I'm still experiencing the same EXACT problem which leads me to believe there may be some kind of software or compatibility error Logitech either hasn't fixed yet or doesn't want to admit exists. I've reissued another ticket with Logitech and had the new customer service rep send me the same generic email as I initially received the first time I submitted problem so this should be a fun experience trying to get this person caught up to speed. It wouldn't be bad if the headsets at least came with a cord to use "wired" as a backup but that's not even a possibility. So it looks like an expensive paperweight for now, but at least Logitech will NEVER get my money again.

    Terrible headset.

This headset has been a headache from day 1. I bought it having a long positive history with Logitech products, including their wireless mice and other wired headsets. However, this particular model of headset was absolutely terrible. Initially it would disconnect and then reconnect to the USB dongle every 2-5 minutes for no reason (battery was charged, the headset could even be plugged in). The eventual cause of this problem was determined to be the Logitech Gamer Software that is used to manage the headset and allow for custom key mappings of the keys on the side of the left ear-cup, as well as provide battery notifications when the battery was low. Additionally, the headset would frequently not turn off when plugged in (if I wasn't using it), and so would cycle between charging during the brief 'off' period, turning on, completely discharging, turning back off, and then repeating the process. Lastly, there were several problems with drivers and non-updateable firmware to fix problems with the headset not always even detecting the connection dongle when the headset is fully charged and the USB dongle plugged in. All in all, the worst headset I've ever had across PC, XBox, and PS4. I will be sticking to Logitech's fantastic Mice and Keyboards and buying my headsets elsewhere.

    PLEASE....Don't buy this...

Okay. I bought G930 about last year, because it was from logitech and looked really nice. I made a mistake of NOT READING reviews before buying this product though. There are so many problems...including battery durability, connection issue, power button issue, and distorted sound issue. If you searched G930 problems on Logitech....you'll see EVERYONE getting mad at the product... DO NOT BUY THIS...I'm still using it right now...but I think i'll get a wired headset during the Black Friday.

    Horrible cutting in and out

I use for an MMO and Ventrilo and the sound keeps cutting in and out. I get a tingy double sound and the sound stops, The USB sensor is about 3 feet from the headset and clear line of sight, then the sound again and the sound comes back. It is enough to make you crazy. I do not suggest these for the price that they cost. Also the battery life said something like 8 hours. It cuts out in about 5.

    My aching head and ears...

I got this headset after my Tactic 3D Sigma decided to give up the ghost. While I did see quite a few 1-star ratings, I also saw quite a lot of 5-stars as well. I chalked it up to bad batches of headsets and picked one up anyway. This headset is TINY, despite its look. The way the thing is built, your head WILL be compressed. It's worse for people that wear glasses as well. Then come the other problems. The drivers don't work well. The set that comes on the CD is buggy at best, and I had to call up Logitech support to find out that they've integrated this headset into their gaming software...which also crashes on startup when the USB stick is plugged in. Also, even though the headset is about 2 feet away from the stick, the headset signal cuts out every so often. I found this was attributed to the use of the same frequency that most wireless devices use. I find this really odd, since they could just use a different frequency altogether and avoid this problem entirely. Overall, with the headaches, the sound cuts, and the lack of working, real drivers, I CANNOT recommend this product to anyone, particularly for the price of admission. Logitech needs to go back to the drawing board and come up with a comfortable wireless solution that doesn't cut out, and provides the gaming sound quality this one advertises.

High hopes but barely lasted 3 months

Bought the headset 4/2/2016. A few days ago the boom headset began having issues staying up in the muted position. Today the boom moves and if you need to move about the room or what not you get to hear the noise of it move. The boom will not stay in any position. Gonna return it. Only used the headset 2-3 3x a week for light gaming use. Thankfully I bought the warranty.

I've had three of these headsets and my first lasted about a year and a half, the second four months, and the last a month. Don't get me wrong... its a quality mic but there is too many issues. I recommend you spend your money elsewhere.

Santa got me a Christmas present for my kids to see me open on Christmas of '12. By March '14 (15 months later) I had plugged in and unplugged these headphones approximately 30 times (maybe twice a month) Mostly i just used them plugged in as I sat at my computer. By March I had to start using a rubberband on the connector because only holding the cord at a certain angle would it charge. By May 14 I can no longer get the headphones to charge no matter what I do. About 16 months for a headset I paid $150 ish for. I have had the same thing happen on old cell phones, but usually I plug those in every day at least, and they last at least the 2 years on the contract.

    Worst headset ever

I've now gone through two of these headsets in under 3 years. I would say I have had them working properly less than half the time I've owned them. When the headset hasn't started failing and is brand new it still has connection issues. For example if I or someone in an apartment near me turns on their microwave, headset goes out. Often the headset goes out for no discernible reason. As the headset starts to fail, which it WILL, the headset will stop charging full and often even when you have the headset plugged in to the charger the headset will die make an annoying beep to whoever you're talking to and then restart. Expect this to come on gradually then increase to a point where using the headset is impossibly frustrating. I got my first headset RMA after around a year of use. Now my second headset has broken in about the same amount of time and logitech refuses to replace it claiming it doesn't fall into the original purchase warranty. DO NOT BUY. DO NOT TAKE FOR FREE. DO NOT TAKE IF OFFERED MONEY.

I've owned two of these headsets. I won't make the mistake of buying a Logitech headset again. Normally I like Logitech's products, but this one is complete and utter garbage. Both headsets worked great for the first few months, then slowly they would develop issues. Cutting out fairly often. I decided to buy a new one after the first one developed issues. It too was fine for about six months, then slowly started having issues. It no longer stays on for more than 5 seconds. The Logitech Gaming software no longer even acknowledges its presence. Avoid this headset like the plague.

    Signal Drops A Lot!!!

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

When my previous Asus wireless headset eventually broke, I decided to purchase this because of what others said and the features and it looked quite durable... but I soon learned that this was a stupid buy. It's been around since 2009 and Logitec has done nothing to ammend why the signal drops out so often (you'll never have a full conversation, or try listening to talk radio, music, ooh you'll be sooo frustrated!!!) Logitec has no fix for it, even tried all suggestions from other owners of this and it wasn't a fix, the signal dropping out happened a lot less, that's all. You would think for something this price would be worth it, especially with that name, I ended up returning them. I ended up purchasing the newest Asus - HS-W1 wireless headset for $80, signal gets weak once in a great while but not enough to make me want to return it. And it's appears to be more durable than their last wireless series.

Not pleased with my headset. Hard to hear people in voice chat with those that have deep voices. Lots of crackling during game play, YouTube, Netflix, and voice chat. I know it's not an internet or computer issue as everything is crystal clear with my Razor Tiamat. I will be returning my G930

Have had these less then a year and the mic busted off the headphones the wrapping is falling apart and now they are constantly connecting and disconnecting. Don't spend the high $$$ for these cheap pieces of junk. I used these for about 3-4 days a week for raiding only. for about 6 months.

Returned it in 1 day and went for the Corsair Void Yellowjacket. The g930 volume wheel on the headset did not work! and the Corsair is more comfy on the ears due to the material. But the volume wheel not working was the immediate insentive to get rid of it.

The first time I bought this, I had to return it immediately. It just didn't work. The second time I got it worked better so I was hesitant to return it again. It seemed like a functional headset and would only lose connection if I went too far away in my house (though the range was a little disappointing). However it has "bad days" where it disconnects about every two minutes! There's no indicator that it's lost connection other than just not hearing anything so I've had moments where I'm talking to my team in Overwatch only to hear it suddenly cut back in. By now, my warranty is over. I've had Logitech products for a long time but they just don't care anymore. Not buying from them again.

Horrid Microphone, driver, and nonexistant support

The G930 has all the chance to be the best headset on the market. However, its microphone leaves something to be wanted. Its microphones supposed noise canceling does not work on any x64 bit platform, not to mention its lack of quality. I wish I could submit sound in this review, else I would record from this twelve dollar headset, and from my G930. Long story short? The twelve dollar headset sounds MUCH better. Wanted to speak to logitec about this issue? Think again. with their new support system, a ticket you submit will often be left unanswered for uptoo two weeks, then you will recieve a generic reply, stating something along the lines of "We're sorry your having a problem, but we have no bloody idea how to fix it, and we're sure the problems on your end." You call that support? I call that bad business.
