I bought this device and found out it was not compatible to use with my Vizio tv. I ended up buying a newer Vizio with a tablet remote. The service people knew little to nothing about how to use this device. I did find one person who had bought this device about 4 years ago and they were helpful.

My computers will not recognize the remote. It shows as “unidentified device” under settings and even Logitech’s own software won’t recognize it. The Troubleshooting steps are all useless. I will be returning this product immediately since initial setup is impossible.

This remote promises to be compatible with tv, dvd player, and vcr but does not. I lost the original remote for my tv and, despite online programming available I can not get it to work consistently. The suggestion on line is to point your original remote at this one - duh, if I HAD THE ORIGINAL I WOULD NOT NEED THIS ONE!!

Keeps disconnecting and have to reconnect. Not worth the aggravation.

Good device but time consuming and complicated to get everything set up

After several hours of Geek Squad work, it still does not work. You have to consistently use the help function and let it step through the options. Very expensive remote for nothing. We have put it away and are back to using the remotes that came with the tv and home theater systems. Would not recommend the purchase to anyone!

Even the Logitech technician had many issues while trying to help program the remote. The technician was great and tried to get the Harmony working efficiently. I didn't realize my new Samsung TV had remotes that functioned as universal remotes. Now only using my Samsung remotes because the Logitech is so cumbersome to use.

Problems with setup. Tried calling tech support - on hold for over a half hour with looped music. Purchase this remote if you want headaches. Try logging in and you will see what I mean. Last Logitech product for me

Got this remote online. Does everything you will need unless you have a home theater system from the planet Vulcan. Once you have the model numbers of all your devices use the software from the Logitech site to load all your stuff. I have Uverse dvr, Samsung 4k TV, Devon Receiver, XBOX ONE, and a Roku 2. All loaded perfectly. If there is a button that does not get loaded the remote will learn that button by just lining up the remotes while attached to your computer. It then copies it to the remote just by you pressing the particular function. You will be tweaking it for a few days as you start to use it. Once you get used to it you will hardly ever touch another remote.

I have not had the time nor inclination to crawl around under my devices looking for model numbers to plug into this thing. I am lazy, in a hurry and prefer "plug and play". This may be the greatest device ever created by mankind but, for me, it is an expensive pain in the ***.

I bought this remote on Black Friday at half it's list price. Based on other reviews and a friend's recommendation, I had very high expectations. I had already confirmed that all my equipment was in the Logitech database (check for free before you buy), including a 22-year old Technics receiver. The setup program for the remote is very easy to use, but it also has the power to customize buttons and features and to edit the scripted activities, such as "Watch TV" or "Watch a Movie." Bottom line: This remote COMPLETELY replaces the remotes for my LG TV, AT&T U-verse DVR, Technics AV receiver, Sony DVD, and Sony CD carousel! My only caution is that I had to return the first remote after 2 days: The Stop and Mute buttons worked intermittently, and then the Play button stopped working completely. I reset the remote and even downloaded its configuration again, but the Play button wouldn't even wake up the remote. Best Buy exchanged it with no hassle, and the second remote is working perfectly so far. Good news: The remote's configuration is stored online, so it only took 2 minutes to download to the replacement. I will update this post in a week or so with an update on the replacement's durability.

Replaced other Harmony control because it died and same model not available.

Kind of confusing set up process. You must have a computer to set this remote up. Once ur able to pair all ur devices if ur able to pair them all actually using the remote is very confusing. It takes way to many steps to control each device. I returned product immediately

We use lots of electronic equipment in the living room and had 4-5 remotes needed to control them all. Then I bought the Logitech Harmony 650 remote and that all changed after about 10 minutes! That's all it took to set this thing up and it's all on the computer. Just plug in the remote, tell the software program what all devices you have, and you're done. It had all the devices I entered in the database which includes: - Sharp LC-60LE600U 60" LED HDTV - Bose Cinemate Series II Stereo System (thats right, even a Bose system!) - Sony PlayStation 3 (requires the adapter from Bluetooth to IR and well worth it, $50) - DirecTV HD DVR The remote had all 4 devices programmed within about 10 minutes. Then you just walk over, test all the buttons, and you're done! This thing is amazing. It will even change your TV to the correct input to watch TV or a movie or play a game if you have multiple devices plugged into several ports! You can customize the labels that show up on the screen to make them more recognizable and unique. It has orange back-lights and the color LCD screen automatically turns on when you just pick up the remote! This is a must if you have at 4 or more devices, especially if you've already found that those cheaper "universal" remotes aren't exactly universal! The Logitech Harmony 650 has my vote, 10 out of 10!

I read the reviews, Doubted most of them... (I have had some bad experiences in the past) BUT for the magical price that was offered on the Best Buy site, I purchased one. I am a tech geek so I went into this with my eyes wide open, My daughter purchased a harmony remote a few years ago and she had problems (never could) configuring it (Yes she is a tech geek too!). SO I thought I would also have issues and was ready to take it back. I MUST SAY, the program installed without problems, the hardest part was getting the "MAKE" and "MODEL" numbers of my equipment. My daughter and I walked through the setup on the software, the PC found and installed the device drivers (Windows XP), we plugged in the numbers for the equipment, went through the wizards and low and behold (AHHHH) everything worked the first time. We went through some of the other features and found that it will also control my XBOX 360, so we configured that too! We have a NetFlix account on the xbox and the remote will also control the xbox so you don't even need the xbox controller to watch movies... the 650 even has the X,A,B and Y buttons programmed in. It is truly a masterpiece of technology. I am recomending this controller for anyone that would like to get rid of 5 remotes and turn them into ONE... THIS ONE!!!!
