cheap feeling, lots of lag
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm normally happy with most Logitech items. I've been loyal to their M series mice and Harmony Remote system for a long time. However, this slab of plastic has almost no redeeming quality. I was suspicious right out of the box and should have returned it. Two months later, It's too late to return and regret the purchase. The flimsy flip-out feet on the bottom should be the tip-off this was not Logitech's best effort (they flip back flat at the slightest nudge and pop-off easy). The online images make it look a lot sleeker than it actually is. The plastic keys feel cheap and the letters are stickers, not print, so certain light conditions you see more shiny sticker than lettering. The really thin clear plastic over the solar cells is wavy and puffy in spots just adding even more cheapness to the whole feel. But this is all mostly aesthetics criticism from an overly critical a-hole. But no that is only the beginning. The function is questionable. If this thing functioned like they said it would, 3 or 4 stars. It does sync with unifying USB/Software so that one star. Letters appear on the screen when typed, you get another star plastic keyboard. And that's where it stops. Want to type in the dark, nope sad red face light. Want to type really fast? Whoa there Stephen King, you got to let the keyboard catch-up. Random buggy hang-ups, that issue is certainly not helping me type this review. The lag is so bad at times, I don't feel like it would be ethical to sell this thing on CL to some college kid for $10.

Posted .Hi flip, Thank you for this very insightful and comprehensive review of the K750 Wireless Solar Keyboard---your feedback and loyalty is greatly appreciated. You covered a lot of issues, but I'll just address the functionality ones you brought up. You mentioned that you couldn't type in the dark and that should be expected with a "solar" keyboard. When your K750 is turned on, simply press the Light-Check button (found above the numpad). In a well-lit room, the green LED on the keyboard should light up. Conversely, if you press the Light-Check button and the red LED lights up instead, this could mean that the solar cell has a problem.
In regards to the lag issue you're experiencing when you type, there could be a connection issue which could be caused by where the USB receiver is plugged in. Use the USB extender stick to change the position which will improve reception by reducing possible radio-frequency interference.

Not totally functional /Quality issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The keyboard is easy/nice to type on; no complaints there. However there were very large bubbles under the plastic where the solar panels are. They keyboard also does not give you Function of the volume controls while using it with a MacBook Pro.

Go Solar with Another Keyboard
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second Logitech keyboard in 2 years and I experienced the same annoying problem with the Pause key coming off the keyboard within 2 weeks of purchase. I have no idea how this could happen when I don't even use the Pause key - it just came off the keyboard on its own. Now I have the Pause key super glued down on the first keyboard and a missing Pause key on the most recently purchased keyboard because it disappeared off the table when it came off on its own! Does anyone know where to get a spare Pause key? Other than this the keyboard is very convenient to use without having to worry about replacing batteries.

Just not the same...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was hoping to get a wireless keyboard with a 10-key. At the end of the day the keys were just not the same as a native Apple product so I took it back and swapped it out for the Mac keyboard with a cord.

Beware battery issue
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought that once the solar reserves failed you could replace the battery- turns out that this model isn’t meant to live on once the factory installed one goes, and that was less than a year. (A child of the 1980s I still have old and working solar calculators so question the disposability of this design) I got a replacement battery anyway online and it lasted maybe a month... sad because the keyboard is the nicest I’ve ever had. I liked the configuration of keys and the feel. I bought a smaller wireless Logitech keyboard that is rechargeable and that has been great, no issues for a couple of years. 2 stars for design and feel only. Too much money to waste on a short-lived keyboard.

Both ones I tried had matrix problems
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While the product looks sleek, was easy to set up, and I thought the solar feature worked well - I ended up taking the product back twice. Both keyboards had matrix problems. It was impossible to access most of the symbols above the numbers correctly. After the second keyboard had the same matrix problem, I got a refund. Also, the Logitech technician wanted to connect to my computer and, when I stated I just needed questions answered, asked for my e-mail address in case we were disconnected during a phone transfer. Both of the techs I spoke with also requested my phone number and address which I refused to give because it was not relevant to the situation. The second tech finally stated the matrix was bad.

Didn't Charge
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The F4 key's function doesn't work–it shows an old Dashboard icon instead of the new Launchpad icon. It will not charge unless you have it in really bright light, which your average room won't have unless you're next to a window or have a lamp over it. The monitor's light cannot charge it. The keys feel a bit cheap. It requires a USB adapter instead of Bluetooth. I ended up returning it, and am back to using the much superior Magic Keyboard 2.

Great Keyboard if you enjoy frustration.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's not the worst keyboard in the world. It's probably just the most frustrating. When it works, it's fantastic, but try as we might the thing just doesn't work half the time. Full battery, new battery, left under a light, left in the sun... doesn't work. We have to do some voodoo like thing where we turn it off, hold the caps lock or num lock and push a bunch of keys. It's just a headache. Wound up just buying a corded keyboard.. no troubles. I think the solar powered keyboard is a great idea on paper, but in practice we have just had terrible luck through 2 keyboards. I hope yours works, but in my opinion, if you must have wireless, get one that takes double As and just get some rechargable batteries.

Descent keyboard
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The keyboard works okay in the beginning, however there is a lag time when typing frequently and it is not very ergonomic. I am a huge fan of logitech keyboards, but this one fails when compared to others. Unfortunately, it is the most compatible with my MAC and so I am stuck with it for awhile.

Overall a good feel to the keyboard. See below.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I do like the keyboard and its feel. However I take away three stars because the Cap Lock and the Number Lock do NOT work. Yet if switch the on or off it does show a light. So this item has a major flaw. If you purchase this item I strongly suggest to try out the keyboard in the store first a see if the Cap and number locks work.

It requires a USB dongle.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a nice keyboard and well made but that fact that it is not blue tooth and requires a usb dongle to operate means I will be returning this to Best buy. Blue tooth is ubiquitous on Macs and why anyone would make a keyboard or mouse for the mac that requires a dongle is beyond me.

Uncomfortable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I found this uncomfortable to type on. The keyboard, being plastic and thin feels like it will break. The keys made a loud plastic sound that is not pleasing. Great concept though. I returned it and got a Microsoft - Sculpt Comfort Desktop Wireless USB Keyboard and Mouse.

Unreliable on Mac OS 12
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not compatible with Mac OS 12. I called Logitech and the tech I talked to said they were aware of the problem and as of this date had no information on when or if ever they will be able to fix this. Most of the time the delete and spacebar won’t work, and if you type fast it misses letters. The Cut and Paste command works when it wants to. Then on other days it seems fine, but don’t count on it. This is my second one and the old one worked like a dream on my El Capitan iMac, but it doesn’t play well with Monterey. I guess it prefers the mountains to the beach. The takeaway: I thought the tech at Logitech lacked any interest in making their customers happy. But if you have an older OS then go for it! You will like it.

Posted .Hello, So sorry to hear about the issue you're having with the K750 Solar Keyboard for Mac not being able to work with your Mac OS 12 system---your feedback is greatly appreciated. The K750 has been a stalwart model for years that has built a loyal following due to it's slim design and unique solar charging capability. It is no longer available at Logitech which explains why it isn't compatible with mac OS 12. (OS 11, Big Sur, is the latest that will work) You may want to look at the MX Keys for Mac, which is also a slim profile design, that does work with Monterey. Here's a link to check it out:  https://www.logitech.com/en-us/products/keyboards/mx-keys-mac-wireless-keyboard.920-009552.html. Hope that you found this helpful and that everything is going better. Wireless range isn't great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The solar power works great even in very low light, but the wireless didn't work so well for me. Maybe if you are near your computer at a desk it would be fine, but for a livingroom computer with anything more than a few feet away it would constantly have problems with either dropping the connection or transmit a bunch of random letters. I own many logitech devices, but this one didn't work out great for me.

Don't be fooled by the solar feature.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this keyboard from Best Buy in late 2015 and it worked wonderfully until early 2021. After only roughly 5 years the battery is dead, and guess what? You cannot replace the battery!!! I live in Northern California where it is sunny about 10 months a year and the solar rechargeable battery died. I have had it sitting on the window sill of my office the last two days, have gone through the troubleshooting to no avail. I turn it off and back on and the solar/battery indicator light does not come on. When I hit the button next to the indicator lights neither comes on. I paid more money for this keyboard than I normally do because I thought that I would save money with solar and because Logitech keyboards usually have a very long life, but not this one. Very disappointed in this product and now I have to find a new Mac-compatible keyboard that is relatively inexpensive which is not an easy feat.

One of the bigger mistakes I've made for my Mac
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Critical, inexplicable feature defect. Othe Logitewireless keyboards have the feature to display "Cap Locks On" upon the screen when the Keyboard key "Caps Lock" is capitalizing all the letters. This one doesn't and Logitech refuses to fix it.

You'll need a LOT of light
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I want to like this keyboard, but I can't. It's built well, has a cool design, and works great when it is blasted with light from above. My work environment is photo and video editing, therefore I need mood lighting and this keyboard is not the one for low light scenarios. If you are in a well lit environment at all times, I can recommend. If you are like me and work with lower light, you'd be better off getting a plug-in keyboard. Another thing that would be nice is a light on the caps lock key indicating your caps lock is on. Lastly, if you plug the USB receiver into a USB hub, you may have issues missing keystrokes.

Not Compatible with BigSur
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this about 6 months ago and, overall, I've been pleased with how well it's worked, especially its charging since my home office doesn't get much direct sunlight. However, I just updated my MacBook to Big Sur and was notified that the keyboard would only be supported for another six months and, afterwards, would no longer be compatible. I try to not purchase 'disposable' tech, and wouldn't have purchased this item had I known it would only have lasted a year. Disappointed with this: it obviously works with Big Sur since I can use it now but, for whatever reason, either Apple or Logitech has decided to only support it for a limited time.
