It took me a few days to get used to this keyboard. The keys are flats and closely spaced together- but I love the feel of it and the backlighting is perfect for low light and no light. It turns on when your fingers or hands mover over the top. Also, the battery is rechargeable via USB. I didn't realize this and when the battery started out at two bars I was sad. But no worries, just plug it in and it works/recharges reasonably quickly. Really digging it.

Keys are nice to type on and the back lighting is a nice feature. Keyboard works fine from over 10 feet away.

The layout, feel, and functionality is very similar to other K-series keyboards, which I like. I replaced a keyboard that finally gave up after many years. I've been wanting a back-lighted keyboard, so got this one. The keyboard has a built-in rechargeable battery, which you really need for a back lighting, to avoid constantly replacing batteries. It recharges through a USB port using a provided cable, and has a charge status indicator. The caps lock has an LED indicator, but num lock does not. Like other K-series keyboards, it has dedicated keys above the numeric pad for speaker volume and a key to bring up the calculator. Other multi-media keys are shared with the 12 function keys. Overall, I'm very happy with this keyboard.

I am very happy with this lighted keyboard. It seldom needs charged and the lighting is very easy to see.

I bought this third K800 for several reasons. First I like the feel. Second I like the back lighting. Third I like the Logitech support. I have been using Logitech products almost exclusively for years. I have has two keyboards have problems. Logitech fixed the problem. They gave me a list of trouble shooting items. I did the items. When the items did not fix the problem, Logitech fixed the problem. Response was not instant, but it was timely.

This has been a really good keyboard. Durable, the lights are nice and bright to see in the dark. The keys feel comfortable and very responsive. I am very pleased with this product.

Easy install in 5 min. and outstanding built in rechargeable battery life. Lighted keys makes life easier.

I like this keyboard. The keys feel solid and back lit make it easy to see a low lit room.

After many months of searching and researching wireless backlit keyboards online I decided on the Logitech K800. It is proving to be one one of the two quietest, most comfortable keyboards I have ever used. Installation was instant: When I plugged the USB transceiver into my computer and turned on the keyboard, my PC recognized it immediately. The backlit feature is terrific, and, since it is wireless, having one less wire snaking across my desk is a real bonus. I like the fact that it has indicator lights to signal when the charge is running low. They also serve to show the progress of charging and when full charge is reached. If you are looking for a wireless illuminated keyboard, buy this one.

The keys have a good feel, good feedback, and operate smoothly. I have an earlier Logitech where the keys sometimes stick and hesitate going down and this one doesn't do that at all. The ergonomics are good for me. It is also quiet, not clicky. The backlight feature doesn't matter to me but I can see where it might be useful in low light. The battery seems to last a long time between charges, at least a week of continuous use. The charging cord that comes with it is long enough so that in my setup I can charge it while using it. On cheaper keyboards the letters eventually wear off the keys but with the backlit keys I think they won't.

I like the way the keys light up when your hands approach the key board. The keys press smoothly and quietly, and the keyboard has a low profile. It easily fits in my keyboard drawer. It is rechargeable which eliminates changing batteries, and a single charge lasts for weeks.

I cant say enough good things about Logitech k800. The battery life is incredible, the lighting on its lowest setting is plenty of light to see in the darkest of rooms. also the key strokes are really quiet compared to the other wireless keyboards I looked at before purchasing the k800. The best part is the fact that it pairs with other Logitech devices, freeing up USB ports on your computer. I would recommend this keyboard to anyone.

Whoever says nice things about their keyboard?!?!? Try this model and you will. Disclosure: I did some work for Logitech years ago. Loved their products then and love their products now. This keyboard is an absolute delight. The action, sensory, the subtle illumination when the room gets dark, all contribute to an exceptional typing experience. The internal battery charges via USB, and maintains that charge in our case for a week or two despite regular use. We have paired it with the M705 mouse, another of Logitech's perfect products.

I had a Logitech K800 purchased in Jan 2011 for $79 and loved it. Recently, several electronic items around my home office either started malfunctioning or died. I suspect a surge (even though all my electronic equipment is surge protected) or else lightning, or maybe I just finally wore it out! It wouldn't be the first time lightning has been a problem for me. The 8+ year old K800 was deceased. I was delighted to find Logitech still produced K800s, and was less expensive than my deceased K800. The new K800 is not without its peculiarities like my deceased K800, i.e. deceased Caps Lock light lit when on, new K800 no light, just onscreen icon. Can't exist without the back-lit keyboard..love it! Keyboard is comfortable, sufficiently responsive and versatile much more so than my PC's keyboard. There have been times when I've been restricted from my desk and have to use my PC from my bed. With the wireless K800 keyboard and casting my PC screen to our bedroom's large screen TV, I've been able to keep up with PC required detail work which also kept me productive rather than bored to death (figuratively). I love the K800 and sincerely hope Logitech continues producing K800s, no other company can compare theirs to it.

The backlighting is good, but it goes back out a bit quicker than I like. The battery charge seems to last a good long while, and the charge indicator is easy to see.

This keyboard has good battery life and the lite turns off when you don't use it for a while.
