I honestly wish I had bought this Logitech K800 illuminated keyboard long ago. I often work on my PC or Laptop very late at night and have always been bothered by having to resort to unnecessary and distracting ambient lighting. Everything about this keyboard works flawlessly. Keys are comfortable, variable brightness feature is a good idea, and even the special functions of the "F" keys are very usefully configured. The glow through the letters/numerals of each key is very clear and bright while at the same time casting very little unwanted light between keys. And I prefer the clear white lighting to the odd colors offered on some other keyboards. I still marvel at the technology which allows the lighting to quickly fade out when not typing and then magically senses my fingers approaching to instantly resume illumination. The batteries hold power surprisingly long. I have not needed to recharge with the USB cable even though I have used the keyboard daily for a couple weeks - and without even bothering to save power with the "on/off" switch conveniently located at the top. The unifying USB receiver is one more nice perk. I have a compatible Logitech wireless mouse which I easily set to share that same tiny receiver and it's great to be able to reduce USB port clutter. I have already recommended this keyboard to several friends and even bought another as a gift for my brother. I don't think anyone would be disappointed.

I don't know why it took me so long to buy a lighted keyboard. This keyboard came on sale and I bought it. It is wonderful. Very easy to install, and the keys light up as your fingers come over them. They go off as soon as your hands leave. I don't use my keyboard for extensive periods of time, but I've yet to have to charge it. I am not sure if you can plug in the USB charger and leave it attached and use the keyboard. Overall, I am very pleased and wish I had gotten it much sooner!

I was looking for a keyboard that lights up so I did not have to turn on the lights first thing in the morning and blind me. I love how it lights up when you just put your fingers in position. glad I bought it!!! now I don't wake up the family when I get on the computer first thing in the morning. the keys are so easy to push and easy to read..and being wireless, I can position the keyboard anywhere I am to type. very versatile. I will get another when this one gives out...

This is my second time purchasing. When my previous keyboard died after multiple spills into it I checked around but the features on the K800 are hard to match. Wireless with USB charging, tilt feet, illuminated back lit keys and an off switch. Plus it's compatible with the same receiver as my Logitech mouse so i don't need a second port tied up. It's a little pricey but worth it.

I had actually found out about this particular keyboard in reading another computer-related article. When I went to my neighbor Best Buy to look at this item, I was initially dissuaded by the price as there were other keyboards with the illuminated/wireless features at a lesser price point. But oddly enough what really sold me was that there is a numbers pad on the right which I find more productive for the kind of work I need to do on my computer. I have had this keyboard for less than a month, but I have not been disappointed at all and am really pleased that I made the right choice. The keyboard is comfortable to use (Great Design!), the illumination is awesome...I have used it all kinds of light so far and it has adjusted as described in the manual - you can also increase and decrease the brightness to your personal level, and that level remains in the keyboard's memory until you either change it while in use or after you turn the keyboard off. The battery life has lived up to the product description as well -- the "batteries not needed" feature for recharging the keyboard was another great selling point. This product is a Logitech so I don't have any concerns about it being well-made...I have several of their products and have never been disappointed in their performance. I am extremely pleased with this purchase!

I have had the k800 for years now and love the keyboard. I especially love how it feels when typing on it, and also the illumination is nice, not to mention it being wireless also is nice. The only reason why I bought a new one was because my old K 800 no longer held a charge. All and all, a very nice keyboard for the price.

I love the keyboard so far after six weeks of use. I have probably written some 40 pages in Microsoft Word with it. I had looked into getting a wireless keyboard for some time and went to Staples to get one. I was going to get a wireless solar recharge keyboard but they were out and did not offer a raincheck. I went to the Best Buy next door and they had this backlit wireless so I finally caved in and popped for the extra. I'm bummed it was not available in solar recharge but that's really my only complaint. The only other small thing was the H key made a tiny little squeak for a little while there but it went away. I took the key off and couldn't find anything. It wasn't that annoying but I thought I'd mention it. It lights really bright but I keep it on the lowest setting because it's enough for me. I have only charged it once in this time but it wasn't dead when I charged it; it was just one bar down so I plugged it in. I really enjoy the clicks the keys make. This is actually important to me when keyboard shopping as I like a nice click when pressing the key. I have two other keyboards and one is from an '80's computer. I adapted it to my computer through two different adapters run in series. I did this because I like the clicks the keys make. Just giving you an idea on how serious I am about that so trust when I say the clicks on this Logitech are enjoyable.

For both quality and design, my first choice when buying a mouse or keyboard is always Logitech. The K800 has everything I was looking for: a wireless keyboard with quiet, soft touch keys that are backlit. Overall it is a beautiful design. The rechargeable batteries and motion activated illumination are nice bonuses. Highly recommended.

Wonderful Soft Key Lighted Wireless Keyboard

Had a wired version of this previously and wanted to go wireless. The keys on here are operated with a soft touch and the illumination is wonderful in WHITE. I've tried other back lit keyboards in Blue color and it was difficult to see the keys in lighted and dark conditions. This White is super to see in both light and dark conditions.
The only think I don't like about it is that it tries to save energy by shutting off all the time after three seconds of no movement over the keyboard and it immediately starts back on again when it senses movement across the keys which is very fast but I don't like the fact that I cannot see the keys in the dark until I place my hand across the keys for it to detect that I'm going to be typing. It really takes some getting used to, but it's okay that it does that. Wish you could bypass it and just charge it up more often knowing it's going to run the batteries down faster.
The size of the keys are great as they accommodate my extra-large hands very well. You can also adjust the brightness of the back light.

The description says that the keyboard can last up to 10 days with a full charge... I've had mine for over three weeks using it regularly monday through friday and the battery still says it's fully charged (knock on wood!!)!!. It was very easy to set up when I got it and the keys are incredibly smooth!

Awesome wireless & illuminated keyboard!

My mom had been looking for a nice illuminated keyboard, so she can easily type even in low light. And having it wireless was just a bonus!! She uses this with her laptop, so she doesn't have to use the main keyboard, which does not light up, and is smaller. So far, a single charge has lasted quite a while, she's used it numerous times and hasn't had to recharge it yet. It's cool that the illumination goes on automatically when it senses your hands over the keyboard, which saves battery because it's not lit up when not in use. It's also pretty thin & lightweight, so it's easy to use & move around!! The bluetooth dongle plugged in & was recognized instantly & it worked right away! This is a great keyboard, and I love the Logitech brand!!

This is the only keyboard that I use ever since I discovered it. Very handy to have a keyboard that is both wireless AND illuminated. The batteries last for a decent time. Lately I have used 2 of these. I keep one on charge while I use the other one.

The keys are smooth. The backlight comes on when it senses your fingers....before you touch the keys. Typing is QUIET. Battery lasts a long time. This is my second one.....the first fell victim to a spilled cup of coffee. Highly recommend.

Logitech products are top notch, and this keyboard is no exception. Good feel to the keys, which are back-lit, and you can adjust the brightness. Also, you can use for several days before you have to plug in to recharge!

I have purchased a few back-lit keyboards and a few wireless keyboards. This is the first back-lit wireless keyboard I have purchased. Based on the past few weeks, it will also be the last I purchase for a long time to come!
This keyboard is rechargeable via a USB connection and it is supposed to hold it's charge for up to 10 days. It has been much longer than 10 days and it is still reporting a full charge. I have yet to plug in the USB charger cable.
The keys are very quiet as you type and the contours of the keys are very comfortable.
The Logitech Unifying Receiver makes it a snap to sync and allows you to sync multiple wireless peripherals with a single receiver.
So far I would have to say this has been the best keyboard purchase I have ever made.

Love having a keyboard with no cables and especially the back light feature. Easy to set up, key touch is great, I can see in the dark. Light on keyboard shuts off when not in use. Should have purchased sooner.
