Just what I needed
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like how flexible these lights are in that they can be turned either horizontally or vertically. I Didn't Know I Needed It Until I Tried It
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm going to be honest and say I wasn't sure I would use a streaming light because I'm not an influencer and I'm not big on posting videos at all. However, after getting it set up and configured, I discovered a very pleasant use for it. I do a LOT of Teams meetings and this bar is incredibly useful for them. It takes the bright glare of overhead or lamp lights out, it gives a solid, consistent lighting that actually makes me skin look good, and it prevents my camera from automatically adjusting the brightness. Now to the details. It came in a nice box that was easy to open and had sorting sections. Not bulky or overblown waste of materials. I appreciate the minimalist approach especially when it comes to trash. Assembly was very easy as it only required screwing in two pieces and running a USB cord for power/control. I tried the various positions for the light (it has multiple configurations that make it flexible for space, location, and need), but settled on the standard horizontal mounting. I did move it to several different places to see how it best fit. My home desk is rather small so I have it sitting behind my monitors and pointing down, but right in front of me. I was worried about the bright light pointing into my eyes, but it has adjustments for the brightness and intensity/color of the light so I found a setting that lights me up without blinding me. It does have control software that you can use to control the settings and create presets. I have presets for morning, afternoon, and evening meetings as well as a couple settings for low-light computer work (it's not just for cameras). You can also manually adjust the light with the buttons and the software will update so you can save them regardless of how you adjust the light. The software works via USB cable or Bluetooth. Mine is USB because I power and control it through the computer port, but I could see having it further away and needing the Bluetooth control option. It is heavier than I thought it would be, but it makes sense with the telescoping height adjustment and the multitude of configurations the light itself can be set in. The only negative I have found is a personal issue. It has wire management and on the light itself, it's great. However, I would prefer if the cable went through the extension bar can came out on the bottom instead of having guides on the outside. This means when you adjust the height you have to adjust the cable as well. Like my title says, I didn't know I needed a presentation light but now I don't take a meeting without it. It's one of those things I overlooked because I don't do online videos or streaming. Now I realize it is a great desk lamp, camera light, and utility light all wrapped up in one.

Small, Bright and Flexible
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Logitech Litra Beam light is very versatile. Using the threaded inserts and the tilt, the light bar can be positioned vertically or horizontally - facing front, back, up, down or anywhere in between. The base is quite heavy which gives the light stability. The back of the lightbar has buttons to adjust both the brightness (from 2700 - 6500 Kelvin) and the temperature (cool to warm). The height easily adjusts to anywhere between 14 to 24 inches. I found the tilt to be very stiff. I had to grasp the light with two hands and pull hard to get the tilt to move. The light is powered by a USB-C to USB-A data cable that can either be plugged into a computer or if connected by Bluetooth, into a wall adapter. There is a Bluetooth connect button on the lightbar and the connection was easily made in the “Bluetooth and Other Device Settings” function on my PC. Once the light was assembled, I found it difficult to see the power and adjustment buttons - especially when in the horizontal position. However the power, temperature and brightness adjustments can be made using the app, so there is an alternative method if the buttons are out of sight/reach. There are 4 cable management guides on the lamp and base to help keep the USB cable out of the way. Any excess cable can be threaded around the inside of the base. I haven’t been able to get the cord to stay in the guide that is on the light itself. The cable stays in the other guides OK - until I reposition the light bar the slightest bit. Then the cabling has to be undone and redone. There should be a better way to do the cable. Maybe running the excess cable down the interior of the stand or through rings on the outside of the stand that loosely hold the cable. I did have some trouble with the G Hub app which was no surprise. Every Logitech app I’ve used has some quirks. If I go to the Start menu and find the Logitech G Hub app, clicking on it doesn’t do anything. I have to right click, go to More and then Run as Administrator. The G Hub software is an interesting concept. I only have the G hub light, but the Logitech G gear mice, keyboards, speakers and headsets are also compatible. Once they are connected in the software, the lights and keys on the devices can be customized and coordinated or even synchronized to music. Profiles can be created so that a device can function one way at a workstation and another way when gaming. The Litra Beam light is pretty amazing. The pros are that It is small and easily fits on a desktop. It is extremely bright and flexible. The cons are that the power and adjustment buttons are very hard to see and that the cord has to be reinserted in the guides any time the light is adjusted.
