Ditch the cord, an Optical Mouse is way to go.

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Not a fan of the laptop touchpad so this optical mouse comes in handy for general everyday purpose utilization. Based upon its price and limit functions, definitely not recommended for gaming, but for general computer work with Office components, surfing the network and basic photo editing, I highly recommend it for the price. The small size allows it to be placed inside the laptop bag and taken everywhere (I also storage a mouse pad in my bag also). I even use it for using the basic actions within Photoshop.
