I bought this Logitech mouse M510 in December 2021. After 80 days, it stopped working and also put new battery it still not working. It's a waste of money.

The Logitech M510 is a wireless optical mouse designed for everyday use, offering a comfortable and reliable experience for both right-handed and left-handed users. With its ambidextrous design and wireless connectivity, it aims to provide flexibility and convenience.
One of the key features of the M510 is its ambidextrous design. This makes it suitable for users who prefer to switch hands or for households with both right-handed and left-handed individuals. The symmetrical shape and button placement ensure that it feels comfortable and natural regardless of which hand you use.
The wireless connectivity of the M510 adds to its convenience. With its 2.4GHz wireless receiver, you can connect the mouse to your computer without the hassle of tangled cables. The wireless range is ample, allowing you to use the mouse from a comfortable distance without signal loss or interference. The receiver is small and can be plugged into a USB port, making it portable and easy to store.
In terms of performance, the M510 offers smooth and precise tracking thanks to its optical sensor. It works well on various surfaces, including desks, mouse pads, and even some fabric surfaces. The scrolling wheel provides responsive and accurate scrolling, allowing you to navigate through documents, web pages, and spreadsheets effortlessly.
The M510 features programmable buttons on the side that can be customized using Logitech's SetPoint software. This allows you to assign different functions or shortcuts to these buttons, enhancing your productivity and workflow. The mouse also includes standard left and right buttons as well as a clickable scroll wheel.
The battery life of the M510 is impressive, with a single set of batteries lasting for months of regular use. This is convenient as it eliminates the need for frequent battery changes or recharging, allowing you to focus on your tasks without interruptions.
The build quality of the M510 is decent, with a combination of matte and glossy finishes. The mouse feels comfortable in hand, thanks to its contoured shape and rubberized grips that provide a secure hold. However, it's worth noting that the glossy parts can attract fingerprints and may require occasional cleaning.
Overall, the Logitech M510 Wireless Optical Ambidextrous Mouse is a reliable and versatile option for everyday use. Its ambidextrous design, wireless connectivity, and customizable buttons make it suitable for a wide range of users. While it may lack some advanced features found in higher-end models, its performance, comfort, and long battery life make it a solid choice for those seeking a dependable wireless mouse.

The Nokia of mouses
Posted .

I bought this M510 Logitech mouse 6 ago and I am honestly shocked at how reliable it was. Before this mouse, I had bought two 10-dollar mice which both broke.
This M510 Mouse outlasted those by a long shot. It is shockingly reliable and of great value. You do need to buy batteries for the mouse which is two AA batteries but changing them is not very often as it takes about 2-3 months for the battery to actually drain out.
It is pretty outdated I mean the mouse came 10 years ago as of the time of writing this review however if you just wanted the primary functions of having a responsive mouse and being able to click on things you should be fine.
The price is absolutely worth it. This mouse can survive a drop of 8 feet at 9.81 m/s^2 free fall multiple times (yes I dropped it a lot) which shows how reliable the materials are because even after dropping so many countless times it still works. It's kind of like a Nokia it's basically indestructible.
I haven't had to order a replacement since.

Great full sized wireless mouse. I have several of these mice that I throw in my work bags for use on the road. They're rugged and comfortable to use over those tiny hockey puck mice.
With the Logitech universal receivers, I can pair one mouse to multiple receivers and not have to worry about carrying around a tiny dongle that might get lost.

In my opinion this is the best overall wireless mouse out there. Don't let the cheap price sway you away, it just a GREAT VALUE. Just plug the USB receiver and in seconds its ready to use. Its well built, light weight, fits the average hand size comfortably, smooth scrolling, guilds easily on all surfaces. I double click, right click a lot daily and the battery life is excellent, lasts for months before needing to replace. Unless they stop making them, I would definitely buy again and recommend.

This is my favorite mouse of all time. You can tell because I have 4 of them (one for each PC our family owns).
Pros:
The shape/size is comfortable for the a small to medium-large hand. GF has small hands and likes this mouse. I wear Large work & motorcycle gloves and it suits me fine.
The rubber on the sides helps you grip the mouse.
The Forward/Back buttons are placed very intelligently, have a satisfying click sound/feel and the contour of the mouse makes it easy to avoid accidentally pressing them.
The wieght of the mouse helps it stay in place even if you want to use this from a couch or a recliner.
The 2 AA battery setup gives the mouse a good weight and keeps it operating for a very long time. Easily hundreds of hours.
The unifying software lets you pair this with a reciever that accepts up to 6 connections. Not sure why you would, but you can. I use a K800 keyboard off of the same dongle.
The clicks offer a moderate amount of resistance. I have an older one which clicks very easily now, however.
The light on the mouse will tell you when the battery gets low.
Cons:
Not rechargable
Lettering fades after substantial use (like, 600+ hours)
Paint on left-click fades after heavy use (like, 1500+ hours)
The middle-click broke on my original after 5 years of general use/FPS gaming. I may be able to take it apart and fix it but haven't tried yet. Not a significant problem for such an affordable item.
You may end up with one which has an unsatisfyingly difficult left/right click. I did buy one and return it over being too resistant to clicks.
Conclusion:
Overall, this is a quality-feeling, quality-operating, intelligently designed piece of hardware and I love it. That's why I keep buying it.

I had tried the Logitech M560 originally and returned that due to how uncomfortable it was along with the strange buttons assignments and just general cheap plasticy feeling of the mouse. I exchanged it for a Logitech M510 and I couldn't be happier. The M510 is much more comfortable and feels more solid, most likely due to the fact that it uses two batteries instead of one. I would recommend this over the M560 any day.

It's not too big or too small. It's wireless and very accurate. The batteries last a long time...over six months so far. I also love that you can customize the buttons using Logitech's software. This is my second mouse because the button on my first one started acting up. It took 2 years before acting up and considering I use it everyday and for how much the mouse cost, it was forgivable. I didn't hesitate to buy a new one.

This is a good quality mouse for someone with a larger hand. It feels really comfortable and moves along the desktop smoothly. The buttons are well placed and work well. I am a HEAVY computer user and go through mice quickly, no matter the model or brand. I have bought this model mouse 3 times in the last 8 years because it is so good and lasts longer than any other I have tried. Unless you are a heavy user, you will probably get at least double the amount of time than I do with this mouse. I highly recommend it. My only complaint is I wish it was blue (which I purchased last time) or purple.

The Logitech M510 is a very nice full size mouse. It's not a gaming mouse, but other than that it's hard to beat. Those with smaller hands will likely want a smaller mouse, but those of us who wear size L or XL gloves should be very happy. My only issue is with Best Buy who advertised Silver/Black and sent me Black. Not worth the hassle to return. Still a great mouse.

I have been using Logitech wireless mouse products for some time now. I have a smaller and lighter one for my laptop, and the M510 sits at my desktop permanently. I have used the M510 for several years now, and it has been a great product. So much so that I just bought another one as a backup when it went on sale for half price. It's a full size mouse and I like the way my hand rests on it comfortably with my wrist on a gel pad. The nano can be stored inside the battery compartment. The cover of the battery compartment fits firmly, but comes off easily. There is an on/off slider on the bottom of the mouse. I never turn mine off, and my battery still lasts a long time due to "smart sleep mode."
The Unifying Software can be downloaded directly from Logitech:
http://support.logitech.com/software/unifying
You can find keyboards that are compatible with this unifyer at Logitech's website:
http://www.logitech.com/en-us/keyboards/keyboards?sort=s4&filter=f1305
I'm not personally pairing mine with a compatible wireless keyboard.
A unifying nano can be purchased separately off Amazon if something happens to the one that comes with the mouse.

This mouse worked immediately after plugging the dongle. By the way, the dongle is stored under the battery cover and took me a second to locate. However, being able to store it within the mouse is very convenient when moving from one computer to another. It works just as advertised and I'm happy with it. The weight and configuration is comfortable. I'd purchase another one if I needed a mouse.

I've been using a Microsoft Intellimouse 3.0 for years but when the office upgraded to new desks with a glass top on them, my Intellimouse had difficulties tracking correctly. Got this wireless mouse based on other reviews and am pleasantly surprised -- most of my experiences with wireless mice were early on and they had a lot of "stutters" or "connection drop-outs" but I haven't noticed any with this Logitech mouse. It has none of the difficulties that my Intellimouse had tracking on my glass-top desk and it feels okay in my hand -- it feels a bit more cramped than the Intellimouse as my hands are a little on the large side, so my hand doesn't "rest" on the Logitech quite as easily as on the large Intellimouse. The scroll wheel also feels more "clunky" than the very smooth wheel on the Intellimouse, as does the "click" of the scroll wheel, and the forward/back buttons on the thumb-side feel just a tad off location-wise. Still, these are all pretty minor complaints considering it actually WORKS on my desk and the Intellimouse does not. The side-scroll (tilt wheel) functionality is quite neat, though my I had to install the SetPoint software on Logitech's website as the default Win7 drivers recognized the tilt-wheel and set it to "scroll 3 lines" per tilt, but nothing would actually happen when I tried tilting the wheel. After installation of the SetPoint software, though, it works as it should. And having one less wire to run behind my desk is really nice! I have to say, I really like the blue color version of this mouse better. This silver version looks okay but seems rather plain to me -- the blue stands out nicely while still being somewhat elegant. Overall, happy with my purchase for this price, though I might end up trying out a larger Logitech wireless mouse in the future. Oh, and the unifying receiver sounds like it is great if you have other Logitech wireless devices like a keyboard, but I do not so I cannot comment on it in practice.

I got a used M510 several years ago from an office recycle pile, put in a new battery and started using it. And using it. And using it. It is still in daily use. I just got another one to replace wired mouse on my wife's desktop. I plugged in the receiver, turned it on and it worked fine without dealing with any settings or software.
There are specific features I like about he M510. It is full sized and fits my hand comfortably. It has just enough mass to be stable on a keyboard tray or pile of loose papers without jumping at the slightest vibration. The shape is sculpted just enough for good feel and functionality without being annoying. The battery life is great. I leave the thing on always, and it lasts for years.
The M510 is great for a stationary computer but bulky to carry. I have a sleek, slim, mouse for travel, but it gives me hand cramps with extended use and it eats batteries if left on.

I bought this mouse for casual desktop use (office apps, browsing, etc.) after an older one failed. I was looking for an inexpensive mouse that wasn't too large and that had back/forward thumb buttons on the side. As a bonus, this one uses Logitech's Unifying Receiver, so you can use the same receiver for other Logitech wireless peripherals like keyboards. Good value for casual use.
Haven't owned it long enough to say how the battery life is, but I like that there's a physical on/off switch on the bottom so you can conserve power if you're going to travel with it or won't be using it for a while.
