I don't know all the intricacies of mouse usage. If you are like me and just want to know if it works well, IT DOES. I always forget to switch it off because I am not on this computer often, but the batteries have not yet run out, so yay. It moves smoothly on my mousepad. The scroll wheel works as it should. It conforms nicely to my hand.

Overall very easy to use, and functional. It is very responsive and easily handles quick workflows. The clicker and scrolling mechanism are a little loud, but not a big issue at all.

The design is very ergonomic and the most important thing to me is the type of paint or coating that's on it, this mouse has a matte paint coating on top and rubber grips on each side which is good as it doesn't picks up finger oils as a glossy painted mouse would. The next great thing about this mouse is the buttons and this one has 8 buttons with 6 programmable to anything you want them to be, and the scroll wheel can be high speed or normal speed which is great for a lot of applications.

This mouse has been one of the most comfortable to use for hours on end while completing homework and browsing. I would highly recommend as long as you know the USB to make it wireless is located in the bottom of the mouse.

I got this to replace a very old wired Microsoft mouse. I needed a mouse that would work with my desktop and laptop, was comfortable to use and configurable, as well as being reasonably priced. The Logitech M705 Marathon mouse seemed to be the best option for me and I got it at a great price. I have been using it for about 4 weeks now. It works well, meets my expectations, works as advertised, and appears to be well made. With the Logitech Options+ software (an optional download), you can easily and quickly setup and configure the mouse as well as update the firmware in the mouse and the USB Unifying receiver (included). The mouse itself, is a good size for my hands. I like a full-sized mouse with some weight, because it gives me greater control over the movements. The scroll wheel is very smooth and the mouse buttons are easy to use and silent. However, the Forward/Back mouse buttons on the left side, did take some getting used to. Those buttons don't stick out as far and are in a slightly different place than my old mouse. So, I had a harder time finding the right spot without looking. Also, the Forward button seems to be smaller and hard to press. The sensitivity isn't adjustable and is fixed at 1,000 dpi. Overall, I would give this 4.5 stars, with the only downside being the mouse buttons. I especially like that the Logitech M705 has a 3-year warranty. For the price, I feel this is a very good value and I would certainly recommend this mouse.

I have to say, "this mouse has lots of features when using on a desktop or laptop computer. The essentials: left,right and scroll button. The added features most mouse don't have: being able to scroll left and right while working in Microsoft excel by using the middle scroll. Able to customize each button such as take a screen shot by pressing in the scroll button. Able to switch forward and back on the web browser by clicking the two buttons on the side. And finally, the hidden button which is located near the thumb which you can customize. In my case, the hidden button would expand all windows open on my MacBook. The size of this mouse is perfect for big hands too. Downside: the battery cover easily opens when stored in your bag. It's fine when using it but always noticed the cover would fall off in the back since it does not securely close. I consider it a minor issue.

Happy with the m705 so far (only had for a day). Gripping and scrolling is smooth and effortless, feels good in the hand due to ergonomic shape. I like the toggle switch to allow scroll wheel to momentum scroll for faster scrolling. However, two negatives for me are: 1) you need a mousepad if using the product on a wood surface; I've never experienced that before with an optical mouse; and 2) forget about using an older logitech keyboard with the unifying software, it doesn't pick it up; I'm stuck having to plug in 2 USB adapters - 1 for the keyboard and 1 for the new mouse which completely defeats the purpose of the Unifying software/hardware technology built in. Unfortunately I paid for it and will not be able to take adantage w/o buying a new keyboard which I will not do. This is why I am not giving this product 5 stars. Cost is on par with other similar-featured mice and won't break the bank. I would recommend this to a friend - especially if he/she can take advantage of the Unifying technology.

I had an old MX500 and went to a M505. I liked the size and extra buttons of the MX500 and the no-wires of the M505. The M705 the perfect choice for me. I liked it so much I bought another one for the office. I would definitely recommend it.

While I technically returned this mouse, it was not because I didn't like it --- it is because my dog Banjo ate it --- along with about 15 other mice over the course of the past two years. You know how it is - you're working late at night, and suddenly you get 'a hankerin'. Pretty soon there is a big bag of corn chips next to your desk, followed by various other snacks that your cardiologist has warned you about, and probably some liquor, too. Needless to say, the flavor makes its way from your hand to your mouse, and from your mouse to the dog. Of course I try to put the mouse away before I go to bed, but you only have to forget one time and then... well, you wake up in the morning walking through a debris field of gnarled plastic and little circuit boards. Remember, always get the extended protection plan. Also, the Marathon is my second favorite mouse --- I love the Triathalon --- better weight and balance.

Best mouse I’ve ever had. I love that you can change the scroll wheel to allow it to freely scroll. Great for gaming and any office needs. Very durable as well and even has a built in slot to keep your transmitter for safe keeping. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

Great Mouse for the price . Lots of great features. Feels great in the hand. I have a medium to large hand. Overall great quality and easy to pick up from the locker outside after hours.

Love the fit, perfect weight/size! Glad I chose the wheel version!

Attached is a picture of this mouse compared to my old pink mouse! As you can see, the new mouse is decently sized. I have no problem playing FPS games with this easy-to-use mouse. If you’d like, you can even switch the scrolling wheel to an incredibly smooth speed or a slow speed.

Working off the regular trackpad gets a bit irritating, the mouse definitely helps with the irritation.

Easier and automatic installation. Just open the bottom and take out your usb adapters.. connect to the computer or pc and that's it. The connection is verysimple and easy Is ergonomics and conform for use

especially with a mouse. It makes my work much smoother, and I’m really happy with it.

Great product, easy to link and to travel with. Smooth and great for my bigger size hands.

The mouse that came with my HP desktop wireless keyboard/mouse combo gave up the ghost so I went on a quest to find a decent replacement. I had been very happy for 6 years with the existing mouse, little did I know mouse technology has changed so much. The only adjustment I've had to make is with the shape since my previous mouse was a very flat design. Other than that this mouse possesses an extremely speedy response time which I'm very impressed with. The Hyper-Fast Scrolling feature is alone with the price of admission. Haven't even tried customizing the various buttons yet, when I have time I'll delve into that. For now I'm really enjoying this mouse. I hope it lasts as long as the last one did.

When these were invented I was like wow always wanted one. I bought my second computer in my life and I knew i had to get one. School is important and what you have to get you through school is even better.
