Great mouse. Easy to hold and move. Fits great in my hand and scrolls fluidly.

This is absolutely great. There are just 2 differences (not problems) from other mice I have used. The first is the scroll wheel being "slippery." When I scroll past rungs on the scroll wheel, it is very easy to slip past and go to the next rung. The next, is middle clicking (pushing the scroll wheel down) is a bit difficult to hit precisely. I need to push the wheel at different angles, which is not that much of a hassle, but it is a difference with other mice, in order to middle click. Lastly, which is a personal problem, is that the mouse is a bit small for my hands. It is still ok, but just not perfectly snug in my hand. I have an 11cm hand span for reference.

Thanks for the M705 feedback! We appreciate your insights on the scroll wheel and middle click. We'll consider this for improvements.

Great mouse. Love the scroll wheel with no detents

The forward/backward buttons were a requirement for me. The mouse isn't so small it hurts your hand to hold. The scroll wheel is smooth.

Great mouse for a power user like myself who doesn't need all the extra buttons on gaming mice. With proper Logitech drivers and software installed, the hidden thumb button is one of its best features; by default, it's configured to open Task View in Windows 10. Very useful and efficient for switching between multiple desktops! Flywheel for infinite scroll comes in handy quite often too. Phenomenal battery life and reliability too. Never encountered any issues with lag or dropped connection to dongle.

Highly responsive, a nice upgrade from my previous mouse. I opted for this item for performance and also for the size.... it's a little larger than some of the other options, which would require charging via USB port and don't use batteries. The interruption would really bother me. My new laptop has a touchscreen, so time will tell how much continued use this gets. Logitech products have never let me down.

Most mice are small and can cause hand problems. This is their largest conventional mouse, very quiet, batteries last a long time.

For the price, you can't beat this universal mouse. It has extra buttons on the side that you can customize with their Logitech Options software. The only downside was that the pads on the bottom are molded in and are not the slick TPE material that most higher end mouses use. Didn't affect usage too much but it would have been good to have.

Got this mouse for use at work after my old wireless one started freaking out. This was pretty easy to setup and get going. It's really comfortable and I have wrist issues so that matters. Battery life has been fantastic on month 12 of daily use and haven't replaced it yet. I really like having the forward/back button and the additional "squeeze" button on the thumb. Only reason I am docking a star is because when you switch from between having the incremental/click on the scroll wheel versus to smooth scroll it get's too easy. I like to have free scroll on most mouses but this one is too fluid and makes it hard to avoid over scrolling.

I bought the m705 mouse because I had been using the m720 mouse which is identical except the m720 mouse had a 6th button on the side (gesture button) which I did not program but would select if I squeezed the mouse to hard. You could disable programming for this 6th button in m720 mouse but I used it with work computer so was unable to install mouse app and therefore could not disable button. So it would drive me crazy when it would be activated like 5 times an hour But this review is about the m705. Like I said it’s identical to m720 without the pesky gesture button Comfortable in hand, responsive, and about $10 cheaper than m720 It’s also got fast scrolling button so you can scroll line by line or click the button and just spin the wheel and list or page just flies to the end fast. Not many mice do that function today

As a technical analyst, my job requires me to analyze detailed price charts all day long. My setup doesn't allow for me to use a wired mouse, so a fully loaded wireless mouse that is very precise, with all the side buttons and scroll wheel options became a must, a very elusive one. This was the third wireless mouse I bought and is exceptionally precise, has long battery (even if your lazy about turning it off after use) and has all the shortcut buttons I need to move quickly in my work. Highly recommended.

This is a fantastic office mouse. Having the scroll wheel that tilts side to side is extremely useful for working in Excel or similar programs. It is also very comfortable and having the option to just run 1 battery instead of 2 makes this lighter and less exhausting to use.

With the exception of not working on a glass surface, this is a great mouse for the average person. If you're not a professional or hardcore gamer, this is fine for general gaming purposes. It comes with two replaceable AA batteries that would appear to last for hundreds and hundreds of days if the battery life monitor included with the bundled software is to be believed. I have enjoyed this mouse so much that I have bought a second one, and would look for it or a new model equivalent if I were looking for a mouse again in the future.

From a pure ergonomics standpoint, this mouse is dreamy. The shaping and the smooth rubber grips feel very comfortable in the right hand and the buttons are satisfying to press. It has just the right amount of features and doesn't bother with the excess. The one thing that drags this mouse down is the optical sensor being offset all the way to the right side of the mouse, which results in a lot of unwanted vertical cursor movement whenever you rotate the mouse even the slightest bit. This may sound insignificant, but I swear I will never get used to it. It makes the cursor feel very awkward to control in any use case that requires at least a moderate amount of precision, whether you're highlighting text, navigating links, or playing games. If the optical sensor were horizontally aligned with the center of the mouse, this mouse would be just about perfect.

I bought this mouse because my old wired mouse started to act wonky. (I think a broken wire was making intermittent contact). I didn't think I needed a wireless mouse but I liked the features and shape of this unit. (1) I am here to tell you that if you have been on the fence about getting a wireless mouse, just do it. (2) This mouse is the nut. I didn't think I'd use the back and forward buttons much if at all, wrong! I use then all the time once I I got used to them being there. Also being to switch the scroll from free roll to detent is a plus. I can't leave if I didn't mention the side scroll with the wheel too. I love it. If I had any complaints, it would only be if it was a little bit bigger. It's not a "mini mouse" by any stretch, it's just I have a big hand and any mouse could be larger in my mind. With that said, this mouse still is the best mouse I have ever used. Thanks Logitech, this M705 is a winner!

No one beats Logitech. Here's another example of a modestly priced Logitech product that works and works 24/7 and never fails. (This is written one year after purchase.) Extremely accurate, very, very long battery life (still on the originals!) and perfect ergonomics. Disclosure: We did some work for Logitech in times past. Loved the products then, love them now.

This mouse is insanely comfortable in my hand. My only quibble with it is that there's some drift with the scroll wheel that I haven't figured out how to fix yet. The side buttons are handy and don't get in the way, and all of the buttons have a good crisp feel to them.

Delighted you find the M705 comfortable and love the buttons! The scroll wheel drift is an issue though. Awesome mouse, I love the button to change the mechanical speed of the scroll wheel, and it seems to work well on most surfaces, but I still haven't figured out how to program the side buttons. The shape of the mouse fits my hand perfectly, and it looks good on my desk! I just leave it turned on, with the dongle in my laptop, and when I open my laptop I just start using my mouse! Very convenient, battery has lasted about a month so far. Definitely worth your money.
