I got this for my mom, who still had a track ball. All I had to do was plug in the USB. Her computer is old and she has dial-up, so I am happy it was so easy.

I bought this mouse due to the fact that my dad got back into gaming on pc and I needed to buy a mouse in order to play with him. So far I have had no issues with the mouse but I have only had it for a couple months so take what I say with a grain of salt. It works and I'm able to game again with my dad. No problems, great mouse.

I am sorry that you have experienced an issue with this mouse failing within the first year; I would like to help. I have attached a link to the "Getting Started" support page for your mouse. If you have not already done so, please check the batteries of the mouse, remove and reinsert the USB receiver to ensure the USB Nano receiver is making solid contact. If possible please use a USB slot that is closest to the mouse. Please also check your computer system to see if there are any available updates. I would also run the "Connection Utility Software", where you can check for updates to the USB Nano receiver. The Connection Utility software can also be used to reestablish a connection. For further support, please visit the Logitech website. The M310 Wireless mouse comes with a 3-Year Limited Hardware Warranty.
