It has an on/off toggle to save battery life when being transported in a laptop carry case. It works well on most surfaces. The only drawback is that it does not work on smooth glass surfaces.

This mouse has all the features I need for everyday computing, works on PCs and Macs, is rugged and dependable. It's not too much for MS Word or too little for Final Cut Pro X. It's just what I need. The only reason I bought a new one was that after about five years of daily use one of the little pads/feet came off causing it to be ever-so-slightly unsteady on its "feet" with a tiny bit of wobble. So the old mouse trickled down to my wife's iMac where it's still mousing happily on Facebook and WOW.
