Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the Performance Mouse MX's long battery life, comfortable ergonomics, and ease of use. Many appreciate its ability to work on various surfaces and its accurate tracking. While some find the price a bit high and the scroll wheel could be improved, the overall user experience is positive. The mouse's weight is also a point of contention for some users.

I replaced a Logitech Anywhere MX with the performance mouse after 3 years of great service from the mouse. I am very pleased with the way that this mouse performs. The rechargeable feature is very nice, and the charges last quite a while. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone!

Best Logitech Mouse - the older Performance MX

Went thru three mice from BB. 3rd one is a charm. This is by far the best. I really wanted the new flagship Logitech MX 2S to be "The One" but it's just too large... and I don't have small hands! The thumb button had poor ergonomics, was too difficult to actuate. Yeah, maybe eventually I'd "get used to it" but let's face it, products have to be changed in order to be "improved". Trouble is, they are not always actually changed for the better. The Master 2S is nice (great thumb wheel--if your fingers can reach it!) but it did not tick all the boxes for me. The MX Performance is far more comfortable. It has a fabulous thumb button and the other thumb buttons are much easier to find/press. The 2S side scroll wheel I thought did poorly. I actually find side scrolling easier via the main scroll wheel on the MX Performance. MX Performance tactile surfaces also have better grip which allows a lighter touch when doing fine work (CAD work) which is less tiring. I love my Performance MX and am so glad I could still get one and I saved a pile over the 2S. Very pleased.

I broke the usb receiver on my prior Logitech and no one had replacement parts (shows you how long these last). This is even better than the prior one. The USB receiver is very small (almost impossible to break), it has all the features of the old one, plus some new ones. This is also easier to recharge than the old one. Very happy if you want a high end mouse.

I like this mouse. It fits my hand well. Battery life may be a little low but I work at home all day so am using it constantly. Other than that I can't complain.

Pros: Works on almost any surface. Uses a common, user-replaceable battery. Continuous scroll. Cons: A little pricey. Construction feels somewhat flimsy. Button action similar to older Anywhere MX whose left button failed in a couple of years. Cons aside, this is a great mouse. Works on almost any surface (I use it as a remote when viewing videos on the computer, works on my pants, shirt, chair arm, etc.) The rechargeable battery is a much design than the one they had a few years back that was not replaceable: Battery dead, mouse gone. The recharging system is better, too. Instead of having to use another mouse while it charges in a caddy, you just plug the USB cable into the front and you've got a "wired mouse" you can still use! It was a bit expensive, but the model with the caddy and permanent battery was over $100.00. I bought this model and a new Anywhere MX for a combined price that was less. I gave it four stars instead of five because the buttons "feel" similar to my old Anywhere MX. Its left button failed in a couple of years. It was a common problem, so I hope Logitech has fixed it.

This is the best mouse you can buy. In fact, I have two of them. They are a little more expensive, but they are worth it. The one thing I wish Logitech would bring back is the recharging cradle. Minor gripe, but the product was slightly better in the past due to the cradle. Now you just get a USB cord to plug into a PC to recharge.

    Recharging while in use

I've been eagerly awaiting for this mouse to go on sale ($75). The single best feature is the ability to charge the device while still using it. It doesn't require it to be placed in a cradle or on a charging pad. I also love the logitech wheel. You can switch the wheel to a freespin mode which is great when scrolling through long pages of legacy code. The wheel is weighted and will spin for a very long time. One of the two things I don't like about the mouse (I'm really nit-picking here) is when the wheel is in 'friction' mode - the sound is much louder than it needs to be. The other thing I don't like about logitech devies in general is the separate usb dongle. If they made a bluetooth version of this product, I would definitely buy a second and relegate this one to my desktop. The mouse fits comfortably in my hand and I get a few weeks out of each charge. Overall, the quality and accuracy is exceptional.

I already use an MX and have been wanting to upgrade but the price tag held me back. So when I saw this on BB deal of the day, I jumped at the chance. Reasons for the upgrade... I wanted to get rid of the mouse pad/matte surface and I could still use the new mouse while it is charging (my original had to be placed in a charging dock)--although it does not hold a charge quite as long as my original does. The mouse feels good in my hand and easily maneuvers in a small area.

I've had the mouse for a few months and find it very comfortable. I had the lower model ($30 price point) and notice a huge improvement with respect to tracking. This upgrade makes a very nice and noticeable difference. The thumb buttons could be located a little better, as I typically hit the lower one when I think I am hitting one of the upper pair. Battery life is very good.

The mouse is good, battery life seems shorter than a battery type, but that might just be the nature of a rechargeable mouse. Overall, a good product.
