Works exactly how I needed it to! I personally didn’t even have to download or use the Logitech G Hub software, worked great right out the box and everybody in game chat with me now reports no echo or feedback, definitely on the pricy end but I think worth it.

Aesthetically, I can tell the design is definitely geared towards gamers and streamers -especially professional ones. Physically, they look sturdy with a rather simple design language. There is no RGB to speak of and I think the logo and radial finish on the cups are tasteful. They are made with a combination of metal, matte plastic, and a pleather-covered headband which is well stitched. All the controls feel very tactile and easy to find. The volume rocker rolls nicely and does not wobble, but there is no volume stop at the highest or lowest volume. There is a soft cloth carrying pouch which is a bit underwhelming, but I guess it’s better than nothing. I wore them for several hours at a time and I found then quite comfortable. They feel hefty but not too heavy. There is a bit of clamping force to keep the headset relatively in place. Included are two separate types earpads: pleather and velour. Both materials are super-soft which provide unique listening experiences (more on that later). The headband padding is good enough to mitigate any sore spots on top. I did experience some heat and sweat when wearing the pleather pads, but not at all with the velour. As far as connectivity, the Pro X 2 offers several options. The main method to connect is by using the included 2.4GHz adapter. It worked well with my PC, PS5, and Switch (via the dock). The connection distance is outstanding as I was able to walk away from the PC to the kitchen and still maintain a fair connection. You can also connect via Bluetooth (not sure what version), and through a 3.5mm cable, which by the way, the headset must be off to use. This makes them quite versatile. Still, I found it odd that there is non simultaneous audio when connected to more than one device. However, even more strange but cool is that there is a 3.5mm input in the 2.4GHz dongle that allows for analog and wireless simultaneous audio. The battery life is impressive. In testing the set for about 4 days during long sessions, I managed to deplete about 35% in about 16-18 hours. Logitech says 50 hours of playback and I am inclined to believe them. When it comes to communications, Logitech does not disappoint. On default settings, the detachable 6mm unidirectional cardioid mic picks up my voice nicely. It comes with a foam wind screen which can be changed for a thicker one if needed, like when typing on a mechanical keyboard. The Pro X 2’s 50mm graphene drivers, which are said to be used for the first time in a headset, deliver an impressive sound experience. Without any EQ tuning and using the leatherette pads, the bass is punchy, impactful, and has that boom factor without overpowering everything else. The mids come through nicely allowing ambient noise and dialogue to take center stage when needed. The treble is clear without being harsh -even at high volumes. The soundstage is limited, but the channel separation and imaging are well done. Changing to the velour pads, we lose some of that boomy bass, the midrange gets more pronounced, and the treble gets a bit more acute. I would describe the sound signature as somewhat flat. There is considerably more sound stage and imaging. I found each pad serves a different purpose for me. The pleather pads are great for immersion and exciting sounds in almost every genre and type of music. The velour pads work great for listening to HI-RES music critically, being more aware of the environment (watch out for sound leakage) and are awesome for picking up sound cues in FPS games. To get the most out of these headphones, I strongly recommend installing the robust Logitech G Hub app. There you can update, set power options, and check battery level. You can also fine tune the mic’s gain, output, details, pickup pattern, EQ, and test with Blue Vo!ce support. Then there is the audio EQ. It is good enough, but I wish it was a bit more extended. There are presets and user’s presets as well, which I appreciate. The surround sound option is great in my opinion. It really makes most content that much more exciting. The only time I turn it off is when playing competitive FPS because I need to be always fully aware of left-right cues, or when listening to high-quality music. Is it worth the premium price? In my experience, I would say “most definitely!”. The Pro X 2 covers all the bases for casual, competitive, and streaming gaming. It’s also well-built and classic-looking. Not only that, but it goes great with my G Hub ecosystem (keyboard and mouse).

First off, I purchased the first gen headphones in 2019 and from day one they were some of the best headphones id used. Recently I started to have some issues with sound and the pads showing wear and tear and decided to replace them with these and oh boy was that a bad decision. First off, these require heavy customization through logitechs software because the sound is absolutely horrible out of the box and even spending several hours customizing I could not get them remotely close to the sound quality I had on the first set. The sound is dull, almost sounds like im in a tin can, and this was testing over a dozen profiles and testing within COD and even music. For the price, these are not it and also, why is Logitech using the same mic from the first gen models? Zero improvement and quite honeslty the mic is horrible which is why I use a blue yeti for the mic.

Terminology References: Logitech G PRO X = PX; Logitech G PRO X 2 = PX2 Having used the first generation of their PRO X headset, I’m curious to see what improvements they made in the PRO X 2. I expected more of the same but came away impressed by what some people have said about it. So let’s dive in and hear what the PX2 has to offer. Taking the headset out of the box, the first thing I noticed is that the cans can now rotate so the headset can rest around your neck more easily and comfortably. This is in stark contrast to the PX which doesn’t swivel. In all honesty, I did not miss this detail as I don’t set it around my neck. Perhaps I may do this often with the PX2. Preinstalled are leatherette ear pads and Logitech, like before, bundles velour (cloth) pads. There is nothing wrong with the leatherette pads. They provide better sound isolation outside noise reduction. But at the same time, it also creates a better seal around your ears. And that traps moisture which can build up in long sessions. Velour pads add a bit of breathability to your ears but sacrifices noise reduction. I personally prefer velour pads because they’re just a tad more comfortable for long gaming and music listening runs. Also included are the usual necessities to get the headset up and running: a USB-A transceiver, USB-A to USB-C cable for charging the headphone, the microphone to attach to the headphone, and a 3.5mm cable. Yes, there’s a 3.5mm cable included to connect the headphone to a 3.5mm audio jack, like (gasp) a phone! Logitech advertises longer battery life over its predecessor. I do not have enough time to truly check or confirm this. But longer battery life is always welcome so there’s no complaining from me. As mentioned, there’s a 3.5mm port on the headphone. While there’s also a 3.5mm jack on the transceiver, it’s used as an audio input source. I’m a bit confused on that feature but I suppose it’s if you need another audio source to funnel through. Anyway, the 3.5mm jack allows you to use the headphone beyond the computer or if the headphone has no more power left. But if absolute wireless is your thing, it also supports Bluetooth connection. There are two big requirements for using headphones – comfort and sound. For comfort, it has to be lightweight and/or comfortable to wear. Like the PX before it, it is comfortable to wear for long sessions. For its weight, it is noticeably lighter than before, much to my surprise. The top headband cushion is the same as before, which is okay. The headphone isn’t tight which helps with the comfort level. It has just enough to keep it on the head without weighing itself down. The lighter weight overall of the headphone also helps with that. The other biggest requirement for continued use of a headphone is its tuning. I personally prefer a flat sound over anything else. I don’t need additional bass or highs. That can always be set in the EQ. In the music listening session, it is about as flat as I can hear it. I do not have an audiophile’s ear so I am no expert on this. But it sounds nice and neutral to make listening to a variety of music genres easy and enjoyable. The lows don't have much of a punch but perhaps it’s too early to judge. The gaming side of things is no different. It all sounds good and I didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary. Since Bluetooth is available for the headphone, I connected it to my phone and played through some of my audio testing playlist. In the short time of listening through it, I cannot hear any discernible difference. Lastly and unfortunately, I am unable to test wired connection at this time due to another mobile device having no power right now. The G Hub software allows you to set your audio preferences in how it sounds. You can adjust the EQ, turn on the virtual surround sound, and set up audio processing for your microphone. There’s even a sampler soundboard for various audio effects to be played, such as while streaming. I didn’t find anything useful for microphone audio processing. There are some effects one could apply to your voice but that’s only for fun and could be useful for people who actively stream or record audio often. The virtual surround sound does add something to the overall audio but messes up the general audio profile in how things sound. It also messes up how I hear things when trying to figure out if there’s any difference. Akin to tasting things and having to rinse your mouth to reset your taste palette, it kinda also applies to me here. I left the surround sound option off since there’s only so much you can do with two active speakers. Overall, the PX2 improves upon the first generation by adding in what was missing the first time around. I like being able to connect to a mobile device via Bluetooth or 3.5mm and it allows the PX2 to be usable outside the computer. While the higher cost is questionable and debatable compared to its predecessor, it’s still a very good headphone to use for your gaming needs. The sound is nice and flat and you can tune it via EQ to suit your preference. Is it worth the asking price? That’s hard to say. The addition of Bluetooth and wired connectivity does add value and some versatility. And having the first generation Pro X does leave me a bit biased towards recommending it anyway. The Good: Lightweight, good sound, multiple ways to connect the headphone, choice of leatherette or velour ear pads The Bad: Slightly more expensive than its first gen The Ugly: Using the headphone in Bluetooth mode without the mic attached Verdict: Buy

Logitech’s line of headsets have been a mainstay in PC peripherals, dating back to the 1990s long before online gaming and virtual meetings were common. Known for enduring value and quality, Logitech has always been my recommended brand to friends and family alike. With the meteoric rise of the popularity of eSports streaming and broadcasting, it was only a matter of time before peripheral manufacturers like Logitech stepped up their offerings with products catering to serious gamers and prosumers alike. The new Logitech PRO X 2 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Headset is a premium device with higher-spec components than Logitech usually offers in the space - most notably, larger drivers made with graphene that promise to deliver top-tier sound reproduction for crystal clear audio even during the most heated moments of any competitive match. Logitech’s combination of quality design & construction, matched to driver software that’s refreshingly intuitive and meaningful, delivers an exceptional gaming headset that will last for years to come. An important note - though compatible with game consoles, I tested this headset exclusively on Windows 10 and 11 PCs. Your experience may vary on other devices. - Unboxing and Setup With little more than mandatory disclosures and a warranty information pamphlet inside the box, Logitech leaves all setup instructions on the flaps inside the packaging. While clever, it only covers the basic setup instructions for PC or console and doesn’t overview all the headset’s functions. Thankfully the headset has only a few labeled buttons that are easy to interpret. The headset will immediately connect to the included USB receiver, but can also be paired via Bluetooth Low Latency for a fully wireless, dongle-free setup with your PC, phone, or supported game console. Logitech includes a smattering of accessories with the headset, including the aforementioned USB receiver for instant setup, a branded neoprene carrying case, USB-C <> USB-C cable for charging and connectivity, a 3.5mm headset cable for fully lossless audio, and an alternative set of ear pads with cloth for those who prefer this material to the preinstalled leather pads - myself included. Switching between the two is easy as the pads clamp elastically to the headset. One nice touch is that Logitech’s product safety guide includes instructions on how to remove the lithium-ion battery, which can be accessed and disconnected without the use of any special tools. While intended for recycling purposes, this also indicates that the battery is user-replaceable, extending the life of the headset by many years. - Build Quality, Comfort, Ease of Use Here’s where the surprisingly high cost of the headset stacks up. Logitech pulled no punches in making a premium, almost luxurious piece of gear for everyday gamers, eSports professionals, and prosumers alike. At 340g (approximately 12 ounces), the brushed-metal-framed headset isn’t the lightest out there, but the weight feels very well-distributed and sits on the head with little sensation of extra heft. The leather-padded headstrap is soft and comfortable, and the adjustment range for ear height is absolutely massive. With a large, 24” circumference head (measured at the brow), I found the fourth-tallest setting (6 steps out of 10) to be ideal. This headset will almost assuredly adjust to fit your head without issue. Designed as an over-ear headset, the ear pad cups are similarly spacious and envelop my larger ears with plenty of room to spare. The clamping force is about par for course, maybe only a smidge higher than I’d like on the lower back side near the lobes, but after a few weeks of regular use I’m sure the foam in the ear pads will compress some. Not that this is a major issue - the headset is still extremely comfortable to wear, and I can go hours at a time without discomfort. The hinge joints that allow the ear cups to rotate flat for storage feel solid, if not as smooth as I was expecting for such a premium-aligned headset, but don’t raise any concern. There are only 4 physical controls on the headset - the power slider, an infinite-scroll volume dial, a mic toggle, and a Bluetooth sync button. These are all on the left ear of the headset and easily differentiated by your thumb as they have different textures, and the spacing is very good. The Bluetooth button is furthest forward and quite distant from the headset mute button - I only hit this by accident and inadvertently activated pairing mode mid-game once early on. After less than a minute familiarizing yourself with the button locations you’ll be good to go. - Sound & Mic Quality Boasting 50mm, graphene-based dynamic drivers - larger than the standard fare 40mm ones you find in most other Logitech headsets - I was expecting a deep bass response but found the headset’s “flat” setting (the default without using Logitech G Hub to adjust the equalizer - more on this later) to be surprisingly weak in this area. While bass is punchy, there didn’t seem to be too much of it to go around at first. That said, mids and highs come through exceedingly crisp and clear, which is perfect for voice chat and listening for in-game sounds that could tip you off to your enemies’ movements. The sound stage (perceived distance between leftmost- and rightmost-panned sounds) is a bit narrow, but this is typical of most closed-back headphones like the X 2 LIGHTSPEED. The tradeoff is that sound leakage is fairly low even with the cloth pads - it’s not completely inaudible, but it’s well-muffled otherwise. Microphone quality is good, if a bit lacking in depth. When run wirelessly, voice chat takes on a bit of a telephone (albeit a very good telephone) quality, with my voice lacking warmth and richness I found using other headsets. However, the sound is still exceptionally clear and there won’t be any instance where the microphone quality impedes your teammates’ or other call participants’ ability to understand what you said. A dedicated cardioid or similar streaming microphone will deliver better results, but unless you need top-tier voice quality for production purposes the X 2 LIGHTSPEED’s microphone will be plenty suitable. A dedicated hardware mute button is a fantastic touch - and it’s a physical toggle button that is depressed when the mic is hot. Audio cues in-headset confirm the mute is on or off (as well as the power LED flashing either green or red, respectively). - Range & Battery Life The range of these headphones is excellent. Across multiple floors and trying to introduce worst-case scenarios inside my home, I couldn’t find any situation where the headset lost connection to my computer or phone at the extreme opposite end of the house. After about 50 feet through 3 floors I noticed a little bit of stutter, but in any real-world use case I saw no issues. Battery life is absolutely fantastic. After 4 hours of continuous gaming with friends, the headset lost just 10% of its charge (as reported by the Logitech G Hub app). I expect that Logitech’s 50 hour runtime is fairly accurate - I just didn’t have enough time to verify the full range before posting this review! The X 2 also recharges quickly, going from about 50% charge to full in just a hair over 30 minutes. - Logitech G Hub If the flat bass response and “it’s fine” microphone quality were the end of the story, I wouldn’t have rated this headset so highly. Indeed, we’re in an era where the software is just as important as the hardware, and despite some initial disdain at the size and need to have companion software to get the best results, Logitech’s G Hub software truly fills in all the headset’s shortcomings. Starting with sound quality, a 5-band equalizer allows you to make basic adjustments to the frequency response. The post-processing here is excellent, with small changes to each frequency slider working exactly as I would expect. I found that slightly raising the bass while lowering higher frequencies gave the best overall experience - any reduction in sound volume resulting from reducing mids and highs was counteracted by simply cranking the headset’s volume dial higher. As for the mic, Logitech’s purchase of the Blue Microphones company has led to the inclusion of Blue-branded post-processing in the G Hub app. With about two dozen sound profiles to pick from, and plenty of customization available to adjust filtering, pitch, reverb, and more, the app meaningfully changes the way your voice carries through to the other end of the line. The “Broadcaster” presets are my preferred options - they remove all of the weakness in your voice coming through the mic and sound a lot more like sitting directly in front of a quality Blue cardioid microphone. Though maybe a bit overboosted, the settings are easy to tweak, and in any case the post-processing restores much of the lost warmth and bravado without needing to change anything in your existing apps. A stellar showing all through. I understand not everyone is comfortable running background software to get the full experience, and indeed this is a PC-specific feature that goes missing on consoles. But the change in sound quality is so significant, and the CPU impact so opposingly insignificant, that for once I do suggest running the Logitech G Hub companion software in the background - something I haven’t said of any PC peripheral in years. It makes that much of a difference. - Bottom Line My last Logitech headset served me well for nearly a decade, and I’m expecting the PRO X 2 LIGHTSPEED to be my main for just as long. It'swonderful to wear, delivers exceptional sound, has an incredible battery life, and the optional G Hub software is excellent. Any further criticisms I could level would be nitpicky, and certainly don’t detract from the premium experience Logitech created here. Though a bit pricey at a $249 MSRP, the complete package is worth the price of admission for a high-end headset to last. Highly recommended!

The most comfortable headphones I’ve ever tried!

I tested these Logitech Pro X2 Lightspeed headphones back to back against another pair of gaming headphones with 50mm mylar drivers and I will say that these Graphene drivers were a slight bit clearer. It’s not a huge difference to my ear so I wouldn’t buy them just for that. But there are several features that make them worth a try. First, to me these headphones are just awesome for fit and comfort! I prefer an over the ear style and the ear cups on these are large enough to cover my entire ear without pinching the lobes or anywhere else. It’s nice to find a gaming set that feels like it was made for an adult. The headband adjusts long enough so the cups can reach my ears. This gen 2 set also added swivels to the cups for added comfort. From what I read, the previous generation of this model was too tight on some heads, I’d say they loosened the fit on these. I don’t feel like my head is being squeezed. For now, I kept the leatherette memory foam ear pads on, I might swap out the included cloth ear pads later. This is not an ultralight headset, it’s in the range of 12 oz but it feels lighter than that on my head during long wear. The description said that these only provide “USB wireless stereo sound only” when used with a Playstation 4 or 5 which made me think they might be a downgrade from a 3D audio headphone but I was still able to determine which direction a foe was coming from in a couple FPS games. Headphones provide a definite advantage in those sorts of games. I tried downloading the G hub app to my Windows 11 laptop but I was not able to get past the “setting up” screen. I moved over to a Windows 10 desktop and connected no problem. I did send over a message to support but it was the holiday weekend so I haven’t heard back yet. The G hub app opens up a huge array of settings for a PC user, I added a few screenshots of some of the options. I used the included dongle to connect to my PC and Playstation consoles, this headset can also connect through Bluetooth, and as an unusual feature, the dongle has a 3.5mm jack where you can connect via the included cable if needed. The range on these using Lightspeed is impressive, I was able to walk to the other end of my house and never lost connection. Claimed range is up to 30 meters. Lag has been a nonissue for me. Battery life is excellent too, up to 50 hours of use. I found the mic to be highly sensitive, maybe too sensitive? It was picking up a conversation my kids were having in another room fairly far away. In the G hub app you can turn down the gain on the mic, on a Playstation you’ll need an in game option to tweak the mic. Left ear cup has the mute button. Lots of great features here, these are a solid pick if you’re ready to move up.

I’ve been gaming with this headset for the past week with my PS5 and I am very pleased with it. It is very comfortable. My first night with it I played with my buddy online for about 4/5 hours and my ears never really got fatigued. The earcups have a memory foam type material and did not bother my ears at all. The leatherette on the earcups is nice and cool. They also come with foam pad earcups that you can swap them with if you prefer. But the default earcups are the best in my opinion. The headband is very strong and sturdy while being lightweight. I am confident that it can take abuse for some time. The microphone is easily removable. My buddy said he had no problems hearing and understanding me while we were in chat. It’s not studio quality but to me, it is good enough for live streaming and uploading your game clips to your platform of choice. The sound quality of the headset is outstanding. I’m going to put it in my top 3 list of best sounding gaming headsets that I’ve ever used. They don’t have that generic digital sound that many gaming headsets suffer from. They have a very nice warm and natural sound. Bass is booming without over powering mids and highs. When playing call of duty and Fortnite, I was able to determine where enemies were coming from because I could hear their footsteps clearly even though there was a lot of explosions and shooting going on around me. Sometimes I like to listen to music while gaming, and these also perform nicely for that. Music sounds nicely balanced while my favorite games still punch through bassy and clearly. My gf appreciates me gaming with these at night lol, I don’t bother her with the loud sounds from the video games I play while she goes to sleep. Yeah, these headphones are a little expensive. But they come with a lot of accessories and are made of premium materials. They are definitely worth your hard earned money. Logitech surprised me with these headphones. If you’re on the fence and reading this, go ahead and treat yourself. I think you’ll love them as much as I do. Pros: Quick connect with included USB dongle Incredible surround sound quality Compatible with both PS5 and PC Very long battery life and Charges quickly Includes many accessories and storage bag Great microphone, don’t feel the need for a dedicated mic. Designed by gaming pros, the Logitech PRO X2 Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Headset is a very thought-out, well-designed product whose goal is to help the rest of us increase our skills and level of competition. Made of quality materials that were apparently chosen to give strength and longevity to the product’s life, the choice of these materials seems two-fold as they also contribute to making the headset only weigh 12.17 oz. This is one of the most comfortable headsets that I have ever worn, and I have not even started to mention all of the other wonderful features of this product. The headset is manufactured in either Black or White. Included in the box is the headset, a completely detachable unidirectional microphone with Blue Voice technology, a soft zip bag for storage, memory foam ear pads and an extra set, a USB-A-Lightspeed wireless adapter, and a USB-A to USB-C cable for charging and updating firmware. The headset’s battery charged very quickly and is designed to last up to 50 hours. All of the controls have ergonomic placement, and with the Logitech G HUB software various detailed customizations can take place. You can even set how many minutes up to thirty that the headset remains active before powering itself down when not in use. Numerous sound settings can also be controlled in the G HUB software. On the actual headset, there is even a control button to switch easily between Bluetooth and Lightspeed. The range of customization available with this headset is wide and allows for detailed fine tuning. The headset paired effortlessly with my PC and is compatible with Windows 10 or later. The headset is also Console compatible with PlayStation 4 and 5 as well as Nintendo Switch. I used it with Nintendo Switch and found it to have an impressive wireless range of over ninety-eight feet. The Graphene 1.97-inch driver is a first in the gaming headset industry and it is what gives the clarity of this product’s amazing sound. I recommend this product and am extremely impressed with the sound and the way I can control and fine tune it to my preferences. The wireless distance and length of the battery is equally amazing. This is definitely a professional headset and one that should be considered if you are serious about a quality headset for gaming.

    Quality construction and sound

The logitech, G Pro X2 light speed headset is a more than capable headset for serious gamers. It doesn’t have a bunch of snazzy RGB lighting or other visual bells and whistles, but it is a very strong performer where it matters most: sound. Build Quality: The attractively styled all black body is constructed of steel and aluminum. It has a detachable flexible mic that can be easily adjusted to preferred positions. The preinstalled ear cups are leatherette over memory foam. An extra set of cloth pads over memory foam is included. The headband is also leatherette over memory foam. The headset feels well constructed overall and durable. Comfort: despite the all metal construction, the headset is surprisingly lightweight. I do not experience any fatigue or discomfort during long gaming sessions, and it fits comfortably on my head without any pressure on my ears or top of my head. The ear cups are comfortable, soft, never feel hot, and they don’t make my ears sweat. The flex mic moves smoothly, stays in place without drooping, and is easy to adjust in small increments to a desired position. Performance: I first tested the headset to make sure sound levels were within an acceptable threshold. I was able to detect bass notes down to 20 Hz and highs up to 20 kHz. The 50mm drivers sound fantastic during gaming. Both primary and ambient background sounds are sharp, clear and well produced. Whether loud explosions or more subtle sounds like wildlife chittering or car gears shifting, I can clearly hear every aspect of my gaming in high quality surround sound. The headset volume is sufficiently loud for both gaming and music while maintaining good clarity at higher volumes. There is no distortion or sound drop outs during use. Music also sounds very good through the headphones. It has sufficient bass, crisp treble, and decent mid notes. I don’t use this as my primary music listening headset, but only because I prefer my high quality music headphones. However, the X2 is more than capable for music listening if required to pull double duty. I also used the headset for a couple of Teams meetings for work just to see how it would perform. It performed flawlessly. The mic has hardware noise cancelling and Blue Voice enhancement to improve sound quality. I asked other meeting participants for feedback on mic quality and was advised that my voice sounds clear and free of background noise. Gaming buddies advised the same. The mic does a good job of suppressing background noise farther away from the headset. I don’t normally have a lot of noise in the background and work in a relatively quiet environment, but whenever there is mild to moderate noise, such as controller buttons or mechanical keyboard clicks, it doesn’t interfere with mic sound quality. There is an easily accessible volume dial and a mic mute button on the left cup. Also on the cup are the Bluetooth button and power switch. Connectivity: The Pro X2 can connect via either the included lightspeed USB dongle or Bluetooth. I tried both and both provided stable connections with no dropouts nor loss of connectivity. Quality was about the same on both as I could not detect any noticeable differences in sound quality. I prefer using the lightspeed receiver simply from past not so good experience with other Bluetooth gaming headsets, but feel both formats would serve my needs fine. Extras: The X2 is compatible with Logitech’s G Hub software. G Hub allows managing headset and mic sound quality along with other settings. G Hub provides several EQ presets for different use scenarios for both the headphones and the mic. Presets include optimized settings for gaming, music, online meetings and more. The mic also has Blue Voice specific presets and gain controls for enhancing mic quality. In addition, there is a manual EQ and settings for enabling and managing surround sound. G Hub also allows updating firmware on both the headset and receiver, and setting the auto power off feature. Auto power off can be disabled or set to activate after 1, 2, 5, 10, 15, or 30 minutes of inactivity. The headset charges via an included USB-C to A charging cable. Battery life is good and I get several days use of moderate gaming (2-3 hours per day) from a single charge. A zippered neoprene soft carrying case, and a 3.5mm audio cable that connects to a 3.5mm port on the USB receiver are also included. Overall, I was impressed by the sound quality of the X2. It sounds good on my end and I sound clear and distortion free to others I’m speaking with online. The G Hub app is helpful but not mandatory. I use it and suggest its use because it provides additional tools to tweak sound to specific tastes as well as properly managing the headset with firmware updates. The app also works with other Logitech G devices to help consolidate management of multiple peripherals. My only complaint is that for whatever reason, G Hub cannot detect the headset when I’m connected via Bluetooth. I don’t believe this is by design and have tried all the troubleshooting tips on Logitech’s support site but couldn’t get it to detect over Bluetooth. I didn’t waste too much time trying to figure it out because it’s not a big deal for me personally. As I shared above, I plan to use the USB receiver anyhow. If I ever do decide to switch to Bluetooth, I will revisit troubleshooting. Worst case, I can always use the receiver whenever I need to change any settings. This was the only con I could find with this otherwise robust and great sounding headset.

Average at best. The sound quality is the same as a Sony MDR7506 (from the 90s, worth 100$) and slightly better than a BlackShark V2 The mic: atrocious sound quality. Even with the Blue vo!ce option it sounds like you’re trapped in a tunnel. I’ve resorted to using my external boom mic It was also a pain to get it to function on GHUB. Do not pay more than $150 for this average piece of equipment. You deserve better.

These are terrible, bought them last year and they are already dying. Sometimes there is a loud crack/click in the left ear cup, sometimes they sound like radio from the 60s and have constant interruptions. I was happy for the first couple of months afterwards, just pain and disappointment.

Very poor quality for the price point. I was expecting a way better user experience, but instead received the opposite. Horrible microphone quality, and mediocre sound.
