Pros: - The mechanical tactile click of a cherry mx blue with about 1/3rd less clacking sound. - Super tough construction. The outside is plastic, but the internal construction feels like a solid chunk of metal. - Understated minimalist design. I'm a little tired of the crazy 'IM A GAMER!!!!!' type designs. - rgb backlights. Cons: - Exspensive. Logitech knows they have a good product. They are not shy about overcharging for their products. - The keys collect finger oil faster than any keyboard i have ever used. The surface of the keys i use the most became glossy within a week. (in contrast the original matte finish) - I wish they had a version with a few dedicated macro keys. (Although you can program the 'F1/2/3/etc..' Function keys.) Overall, great keyboard. The best balance of a mechanical tactile response with a little less noise and a grown up design. A little pricey though.

After many hours of reading reviews, having bad luck with corsair keyboards I got this keyboard. One of the workers recommended this one and I am truly impress. It is extremely responsive, not too noisy and as a bonus it is a beauty! RGB and beyond!

RGB lights looks really good in this keyboard. Its better than the strafe for me since I previously own Corsair RGB strafe. The only thing I miss from my strafe is the cherry mx switches.

Couldn't resists picking this up when it was paired with a copy of The Division for PC. Love the responsiveness of the keys and the individual back-lighting is both practical and visually appealing.

I like the feel of the key switches on this keyboard. They are also quieter than the switches on the Razer Blackwidow I was using prior to this. The RGB lights, and game profiles are also very nice.

Purchased this keyboard for my son's Windows 10 gaming, streaming and content creation computer. Very easy to use, setup and configure the various RGB options. Keys have enough tactile feel, aren't very noisy, but aren't mushy either. Just the right blend for his style of typing and gaming. We liked it so much, I actually went out and purchase one for myself. Highly recommended.

I wanted a mechanical keyboard for a while, but when I finally tested a couple (cherry mx red, brown) razer, Cosair, I didn't like either how they sounded or felt. The G-Romer keys from Logitech had a lower pitch dull sound to them (not as loud as the others) which I liked. The keys are comfortable to strike and they have a solid feel to them. The keys are made in a way that there is no light spill around the bottom of the keys, so the letters/symbols are very bright and crisp. The only downer for me is that the colors white looks off white and yellow looks watered down. You can make custom colors though. The software it comes with to setup your RGB schemes is easy to use. Before the firmware update, I wanted to return the keyboard because the profiles I had created weren't opening when I wanted them too, but the firmware update fixed the issue. The media keys placement is very intuitive and the volume bar to my surprise is very useful. This keyboard can be low key even with RGB lights on. (btw you can turn them off with the light button) or you can have it over the top gamery (is that a word?) in one keyboard. I'm very happy with this keyboard and you will be too.

This is a great keyboard. I love the feel of the mechanical keys. The colors are easy to customize using the Logitech Gaming Software. You can make it a static color or select various pre-set patterns such as "Color Wave", "Breathing", or "Star Effect". There are also profiles for hundreds of games and the keyboard will automatically light up only the keys which are active in the game you're playing. I would definitely recommend this keyboard. You may want to consider purchasing a wrist pad to use with it, as it does not have one built in.

The keyboard is sturdy, responsive, and beautiful. The keys are tactile without being loud, and the Logitech software is easy to use (plus, it has amazing options. It pairs with my Logitech mouse, so I didn't even need to download extra software). Also important: Logitech customer service is excellent.

After owning about 200 keyboards in my lifetime (slight exaggeration) I finally broke down and bought a mechanical keyboard. What a difference. This keyboard is buttery smooth and has all the whistle and bells one could hope for. I immediately noticed improvement in typing speeds (5-10%) along with improved accuracy. They keyboard provides the right amount of travel and feedback to ensure proper input. I haven't used the keyboard much for gaming so I don't have a comment there. However, I suspect the experience will align with the standard typing experience and rate as excellent. The RGB effects are really nice. Being able to match up the color of my case lights, keyboard and DeathAdder mouse creates a really cool looking effect in the dark. Not sure it's worth a bunch of money but it is a really nice added perk. The real question with this keyboard is one I can't answer and that's around longevity. If this keyboard lasts 5-10 years then it will rate as an excellent purchase. If it dies in a year or two I may go back to traditional (cheap) keyboards).

This is my first "official" gaming keyboard, so my review may be a little biased, so read on with that in mind. I have indeed tried other gaming keyboards, but not extensively to the point where I own one. I have to say this keyboard is the perfect balance between quality and simplicity. I've seen other reviews on the one above this one, but that one goes beyond simple and for a simple person, this keyboard takes the cake. Its sleek, feels amazing, is ultra responsive, oh and the scroll wheel for the volume is excellent :D The cherry on top the is the Logitech Gaming Software. Its an already amazing keyboard and the LGS just adds that little extra that makes it even better. If you own Logitech gear and dont have the LGS, i recommend you download it, its amazing and user friendly. Overall this keyboard is just great, but i will definitely try others and then compare how they all do against each other. Otherwise, for the simple yet hardcore gamer, this keyboard is perfect.

Logitech has always been one of my go to brands when it came to PC headsets and speakers. About a year ago, I discovered one of their gaming mice and was not disappointed. With all that said, it was a no brainer to try out their keyboards, and I have not been disappointed. It is well built and has a firm mechanical click to the keys. For the price, this keyboard should be near the top of anybodies list who is in the market.

    More than I expected

This keyboard is more than what I expected when it comes to mechanical keyboards. I was using a 16yr old mech switch for a few years and decided it was time to more to something newer that could handle the demands of me and the games I play. The overall build of the G810 is a very sturdy all plastic build which is a nice departure from some of the cheaper keyboards ive used years prior. The 810 is also incredibly responsive to keystrokes and it takes little effort for the keys to recognize the keystroke you made. The one downside to this is that the keyboard isnt as tactile as I would like it to be seeing as though the older board I have is much more tactile and really lets you know when you make a keystroke. This sounds much more like the G213 I use at work, so take that as you will. Overall for what I paid for it, its a nice keyboard and one I would probably buy for a friend or family member if they were wanting a nice board.

I spent almost an hour typing on the demo keyboards at my local store. I went in thinking I wanted a Corsair K70, but left with this model. I just felt more comfortable typing on the Romer-G switches. Key switches are a personal preference, but I quickly fell in love with these after about a week of use. I'm very happy that despite a full-size layout plus specific media keys it still manages to keep a small profile. I have no problems with the software for controlling RGB and mapping macros as I'm used to it with my G502 mouse. And that means only 1 app in my systray for both! I have two gripes that keep it from being perfect. First is the lack of a wrist rest, and second no USB pass-through or hub. But given the price point compared to other mechanical keyboards with those features I can still happily leave 5 stars.

I had an older Logitech keyboard that was showing it's age. I like the backlit feature, but some of the keys were starting to peel, so instead of seeing letters, there were just white blobs. Good thing I touch-type. In my search for another back-lit keyboard, I came across this one. Same layout as the old one, mechanical switches so I get that nice tactile response but - I was a little concerned about the constant kaleidoscope of colors, which I thought would be distracting. However, a little more research showed that Logitech provides software giving you complete control of the lights - color, intensity, even the "kaleidoscope" effect. When I turn my system on, it greets me with wave of colors, but quickly settles down to the option I chose. Very, very nice.

The keyboard itself is great, and very pleasant to use. I recommend using some additional wrist support, since the keyboard is around an inch tall, and it can be exhausting after a while. I am taking off a star because the keyboard does not have Linux support, and its Mac support is restricted to recent operating systems. For Linux enthusiasts, there are good free drivers out there, but it would be nice if Logitech delievered its own driver for this product.

this is more than a keyboard, it's awesome! You can change every key to a different color, assign different profiles for different games. Very heavy so it doesn't move around on the desk while being used. Only downside so far is no dedicated macro keys (can be programed though) and the spacebar seems kinda flimsy.

This is a great keyboard and I have been using it for a few months now. It took a bit to get used to as the keyboard is thicker and the keys are a little higher than some other keyboards. The keys are mechanical with the Romer-G switch which takes less activation pressure than the cherry mx red switch (and brown and blue) that I have previously had. I have great movement when in games and my fingers don't get too fatigued when playing for more than 4 hours. The keys are backlit and very easy to see in the dark. The key itself is lit and not the surround of the key, so the letters pop and makes for a cool effect. The colors can be set by game and with the latest patch, Overwatch colors match the character you are playing. While cool if someone is watching you, I don't see them much as I am busy playing! Overall the keyboard integrates really well with the Logitech Gaming suite and if you have a mouse and headphones, it is very customizable and works seamlessly. It all comes down to personal preference. I also purchased this because I got the free Tom Clancy The Division game with the keyboard.

Compared to other mechanical keyboard the G810 is fantastic. For some the RoamerG switches are not the best option. They prefer the Cherry MX switches and with good reason those are fantastic. Currently I am using this keyboard in my living room, but take it with me when I need to work away from my home office. The qualities of the G810 that I like most are the divots in the keys, the per key back-lighting, and fact that the keyboard can be controlled from the Logitech software center. Since I use the Logitech G600 mouse at almost all my computers the G810 is a great pairing. On my main computer I use the G910. The 810 and 910 have basically the same layout causing less muscle confusion moving between two keyboards. The 810 also has a great build quality. It has weight to it and the volume roller does not feel cheep or plastic. The connecting cable for the keyboard is thick and well attached. I love the ability That said this G810 is not perfect. I wish there was an alternative to the ok Logitech gaming software. My only other niggle is that the keyboard goes back to the color changing pattern when I lock the screen on my computer. That could be something I have set wrong though and have not figured out yet. All in all this keyboard is great for someone who like the RoamerG mechanical switches, who doesn't want an as expensive 2nd keyboard that is similar to the G910 or who wants a gaming style mechanical keyboard without the Extra keys like the G910s G and M keys. The 810 does have those functions, but not the extra keys on the side and top of the board.
