I read the other review that said it didn't work. Well I'm typing this review on the keyboard, all you need to do is sync the device to your iPad. This case gives me the protection I was looking for and the keyboard functionality I wanted for my new iPad. The battery is said to have a 4 year life, we'll see about that.

I love Logitech keyboards. I've got several laying around my house, and have had one for each iPad I've owned. When I had the Mini, I used the Ultrathin, a simple but fantastic little keyboard. This keyboard is very similar, including the same slightly curved keys that make typing a breeze. The keyboard is a little small, but I'm used to small keyboards and it works like a charm. I especially love how it automatically turns on when you position the iPad in typing mode, and turns off the keyboard when using it in tablet mode. Overall, it's a great product. Except... I noticed this morning that there's a small but noticeable scuff on my iPad screen. And this is a brand new iPad; I've had both the iPad and the keyboard for about two weeks, and the iPad hasn't left this case since I put it in. But the back edge of the keyboard (the edge where the batteries go in) is rough plastic, and if you aren't careful when closing the iPad over the keyboard, it can scrape the bottom edge of the iPad (which is unprotected by the case, since the stand holding the iPad in place to type is using the built-in magnet to hold it in place). It's left a nice gouge in the iPad screen, just below the actual screen. Had Logitech covered this edge in fabric like the back of the iPad case itself, it would have been fine, or even if this plastic edge wasn't so sharp. I got this case on a good deal at Best Buy (50% off when I bought the iPad itself), but now I have a brand new iPad with a damaged screen (thankfully the gouge is in the bezel just below the actual screen) and a $50 keyboard I'm not comfortable using again without spending extra money on a screen protector, something I opted against buying because this case was supposed to protect my iPad. It's a good keyboard; one of the best for the iPad 2018, which seems to be very light on available keyboard cases right now. But I can't recommend it because of the damage it can inflict on your screen if you aren't careful when you open and close it. I'm just really bummed out that my brand new iPad is now damaged by the case that was supposed to protect it.

Received this keyboard as a Christmas gift. After opening it could not figure out how to connect it to the IPad. Directions are typed in too small of writing. Stuck the keyboard back in the box and picked it up almost a month later deciding it was either going to to work or it was going back to the store. Searched on the internet for directions on how to connect the keyboard and yes it was easy enough, but the directions in the box should have been as easy to read as they were on the internet. So as far as the product, I think I’ll enjoy it but as far as the instructions included....fail

I have had 2 of these case-keyboards and they are absolutely fantastic! They are slim, classy and you almost forget that is not an integral part of your iPad. What frustrated me the most Hence the 4 Stars) is that Logitech decided not to make the same model for the iPad Pro 10.5!! WHY!!! It works great, I am sure is one of their top selling accessories so their design and marketing team decided...it works is great, let's not make it for the Pro 10.5!! Stupid decision!! They came with the Combo whatever version which has the worst reviews... Please, I want to continue being an strong Logitech supporter and client...make this wrong right!!!

The instructions for setup could be improved, but once I knew the iPad had to sit on the strip above the keyboard, it was setup 1-2-3, and it's great! Worth it just to sign into my 35 accounts where I have to type in my email address and password.

Great keyboard and case. It connected to my new iPad with no setup. It makes almost everything easier including working from your lap. Got an awesome deal because I purchased it at the same time as my iPad.

It is a great product to use an Ipad as a computer. Good protection

I have purchased two of these. One in February that broke 12 days after purchase. First the caps key fell off, then the left clip that holds the iPad snapped in half. I called customer service for Logitech as Best Buy does not take these products back and they sent me a new one. 3 months later the left clip on that one that holds the ipad broke as well. For $99 you would think they would build their stuff to last. Very disappointed.

And, the owner's manual is not on Logitech's website. It's taking me a long time to figure out how to synchronize the Slim Folio with my iPad. I searched Logitech's website by both model number (920-008617) and serial number (1717CE14D7D9), but still no luck. I'm wasting time trying to figure out how to work this product. I may just return it to the store.

I bought this in 2017. It has now died. I am not sure why the description says a four year battery life when clearly that is not the case. It was fine while it worked.

After purchasing my iPad (Lastest Model) WIFI, I quickly realized that this device is not compatible to my iPad. Do not purchase if you don't want to get the run around. A refund has been requested and I am very disappointed that Best Buy would offer this bluetooth enabled keypad as the only keypad you can purchase at 50% off if you buy the iPad.

Purchased, got home, removed the plastic battery protector and the 4 year batteries were dead.
