This is a great cover to have for the IPAD Air. Its simple to install and easy to use. The magnet that holds the IPAD in to place when open is very strong so you do not have to worry about it moving when you move. So far battery life is great. I have owned mine for 3 months of heavy use and have not had to recharge it yet. Get one, you will not be sorry.

Case design flaw - terrible support from Logitech

My daughter purchased this for me for Christmas. I am writing this review here in hopes to alert others to the problems that I have had with this folio keyboard, and to offer some advice on it's use. As I mentioned, this was a Christmas gift. My initial impression was very good. The keyboard is very functional with a good layout and key press feel. My daughter bought this based on the good reviews both there an other online resources. About January 15th I noticed that the iPad Air was slipping down some on the upper left hand side (when opened and using the keyboard). I looked closely and saw that the left clip that holds the iPad in place had cracked. This is the side where the iPad screen on/off button is. Thinking I had gotten a defective case, I brought it back to the store and although they only have a 15 day return policy, they allowed me to exchange it for a new one. Around March 7th I once again noticed that the new case was broken in exactly the same spot. I am not a hard user of the case (or my iPad for that matter) and could see that the reason for the clip breaking was due to the design. Logitech designed this clip with an integrated plastic tab where the user can manually turn the screen on or off, leaving only 1/8th of an inch of plastic to hold the iPad in place. Whenever the tab is pressed to turn the screen on/off, the tab puts stress on this 1/8" of plastic and after only a few presses it will break. This causes the iPad to slip and possibly fall out of the case. As this was well out of the 15 day return time, I decided to contact Logitech. Their customer service is absolutely horrible. When you call, the automated system tries to route you to the proper department. The first choices are for a device for a Windows operating system, a Macintosh operating system, or other. This being an iOS operating system, I chose other. The system will then ask if it is for audio, gaming, a Harmony device, or video. That's all. (I felt like I was on the Tim and Eric show and was waiting to purchase a boat and change my wife's name to TARGUS TARGUS) I just started pressing keys and eventually I was routed to a person. When I explained the problem, the did offer to replace the device. When I explained to them that I would prefer to have my money back, they told me that unless you purchased the product through their web site, and it was within 30 days of the purchase, they do not offer refunds. Period. I then had a conversation with the service person and their supervisor about how the product is flawed, and if the tab mentioned earlier is used it will break every time. This went nowhere - they refused to give a refund. At least they are offering to replace it. The folio has a 2 year warranty, so as I'm sure each new one will break, we'll see how many they will replace. If you purchased this I'm sure you will eventually get to where I am now. My suggestion is to NOT use the screen on/off button. When the folio is opened and closed the magnets will turn the screen on or off without having to use the button. If the clip breaks there is a very real possibility that the iPad will fall out of the folio. Not really worth risking a $900 iPad for a $100 (now only $80) case. If you have not purchased this, I would recommend buying another case from another manufacturer. As far as Logitech goes, it is a shame that the folio is designed so poorly and their support is so bad. The keyboard is actually a nice keyboard with a good feel. It also holds the iPad in a very nice position when using the keyboard, and can be opened flat when using it for games. They should most likely have a recall, or maybe stop selling the case until it is redesigned. I have added a photo that shows where the case breaks.

I bought this BT keyboard/cover for IPad 2 protection and convenient business meeting typing. The keyboard touch is great and the battery is rechargeable with good life. My main issue is that the screen cover holder broke on one side after 10 months. Best Buy was great in replacing the unit easily and quickly.

My second attempt to find a keyboard for iPad that feels like a desktop keyboard. This keyboard has good key size and feel, but the key spacing is tighter than standard, but this is the price for key size. The cover fits the iPad Air well, provides good protection and there is a magnet to "snap" and hold the screen in a good position for typing.

Within five minutes of opening package I was up and running. Battery life seems good, it's light weight and compact. Careful with the plastic casing that binds the iPad to the case. After an easy fall a crack developed on the grip,

The case is durable, but light enough to carry around. Using the keyboard alone, or using the keyboard on the iPad, makes it a multifunctional iPad. Also easy to use.

Wanted a keyboard option that wouldn't hamper touch screen use and found the perfect solution with this keyboard. All iPad buttons are within easy reach, and the iPad is secure without a chance of an unintentional separation. Linking to the keyboard is a snap. Battery life is good, and the magnetic closure has helped to ensure that my iPads screen goes off when the case is closed. I was hesitant about the purchase, but the quality of the material and performance of the keyboard has exceeded my expectations. Typing speed is excellent as well as the natural feel of the keys. My favorite part is the iPad turns back into a true tablet with ease without any interference from the keyboard. Great buy...highly recommended.

I had an iPad2 that my wife now posses because I bought an iPad Air. The first accessory she wanted was a bluetooth keyboard. After using her iPad2 with the keyboard myself a few times, I quickly realized how much I liked it, so I bought one for my iPad Air. It is easy to set up, and the quality is decent. I have owned many Logitech products in the past, and they have always been high quality and lasted forever. This keyboard is no different. I really like the fact that it protects the iPad, and the keyboard makes email and working on the Internet much easier. I highly recommend this keyboard. The only thing I wish it had is a lighted keyboard; not a deal breaker, but would be nice.

Great keyboard case for iPad Air

I researched and tried a lot of keyboard cases for my iPad Air. I ultimately chose this case because it was compact, held the iPad securely in place, and I liked the overall design and colors. I was initially hesitant to get this case because of many of the reviews talked about the upper corner piece breaking off. I haven't taken my iPad in and out of the case very much, but when I do, I'm extremely careful sliding it in and out knowing that the corner pieces are fragile. Many of the cases I looked and tried felt very cheaply made (both the case potion and keyboard). This Logitech case was one of the few that offered good protection without much added bulk. The sleep wake function did not work consistently on the case I originally purchased. I returned that case and later bought another one. The sleep wake function works every time on the case I have now. It took some time getting used to typing on it because the keyboard is rather small, but I was able to cut down on my error rate quite a bit within even just a day of use.

I had an ipad 2 and I had this same case for that model and loved it. When I got an Air at Christmas I purchased this case for the air model and the housing that holds the ipad is completely different and complete junk. I'm on my second one in a few months now and the housing keeps cracking and the ipad falls out. The ipad is only held in on the upper corners where the old version the ipad slipped into the case and was securely held in all around. The second one I just bought like a month ago broke and I'm done with this brand. Time to find something new. I would not recommend this brand for the air version but would for the ipad 2 case.

bracket to hold ipad on the top left side is poorly designed. It breaks after repeated insert and extraction of the ipad from the folder. This is the 3rd unit I have had since July 2014. keyboard is excellent and connectivity to the ipad is excellent. I have not found a better product.

I purchased two "keyboard cases" One was excelent but it was a ridgid case and basically turned my iPad into a small laptop. I prefer this Logitech Keyboard Case because of the versatility. There is a short period of adjustment where you have to become familiar with the keyboard but with use, it soon becomes second nature to you. I can take it with me anywhere and it makes my iPad easier to use. I feel 'safer' using it with the case than without as it is easier to hold on to. It feels less likely to slip out of my hands. It is also simple to remove the iPad if you need to use it without the case. I highly recomend the Logitech Keyboard Case.

My original Logitech Portfolio keyboard had developed a crack and a second one also broke from a drop onto a carpeted floor. Best Buy replaced it since it was still under warranty and this design seems a little sturdier. I do like the magnetic stand design and ease of setup.

This case does a great job of protecting my new iPad air. I like that I have the option to use the keyboard or leave the iPad in the case but have the keyboard folded under the iPad. It's bluetooth and the charge holds well. I would definitely recommend this case.
