For starters/a background of my situation: I have this system setup in my office and use it for movies and music. I originally bought cheaper $20 Insignia speakers thinking they would do the job. Needless to say, I upgraded to a much more expensive system and have zero regrets.
Pros:
- Incredible bass: this system is 400 watts and you can feel every bit of it. I live in an apartment and constantly fear that even in the middle of the day the system is too loud. At less than halfway on the volume knob, you can hear walls and accents shaking in the room. The subwoofer is very large, but even the desktop speakers themselves are rich in bass.
- Individual bass controls: there is a main volume knob for overall volume as well as a smaller knob that controls just the bass. I primarily keep the bass knob at 75% because at 100% it can be overwhelming and drown out sound at low and mid volumes.
- Auxiliary output: this is both a pro and a con (see later in "cons"). Aux output is fairly universal so I can plug in my phone, laptop, xbox controller (game volume) etc.
- Simple setup: as is the case for most 3-speaker sets, it is as simple as wiring both speakers to the sub, and plugging the sub into the wall. From there you can use the aux output to your device from the right-side desktop speaker.
- Overall sound: as redundant to the incredible bass mention as it may be, it is worth noting multiple times how incredible the sound is from these speakers. The THX certification is not only heard, but felt anytime there's a 'boom' during an action scene. I'm personally not much of an audiophile so I won't overreach and try to do a breakdown of how the sound breaks-down at each level and decibel, but what I can mention is that every input sounds crisp, clear, loud, and booming.
Cons:
- Bluetooth: one of the only features that could improve this speaker set. However, this is not a requirement or huge drawback.
- Design/appearance: yet again, not something that makes me think less of the speakers, but something that could be improved. There are other speakers, even Logitech, that have a much better look.
Overall, these speakers are nothing short of incredible and I have no regrets upgrading to these. Most Best Buy stores I've been in have demos available - I would highly recommend giving a listen and seeing for yourself.

Incredible sound for the competitive low price. Deep solid bass and crystal clear highs. Sub woofer is insanely heavy (which is a good thing). Love having the bass volume control on the satellite speaker so I don't have to crawl under my computer desk to adjust it. You'll love them, your neighbors maybe not so much. And fast free shipping.

Great computer speakers, perhaps more powerful than you’ll need for a personal computer. The treble is well balanced and the bass is very heavy. Not your typical computer speakers. They can get loud and the sound remains very crispy. If size is an issue, maybe you might consider seeing the satellite speakers and subwoofer in person before purchasing. Very satisfied overall. Among the best sounding computer speakers I’ve owned. If sound is your thing, those are for you.

I tested these out at Best Buy, along with the new Harmon Kardon soundsticks, and though the soundsticks sounded “clearer” to me, I went with these as they were significantly less, and the difference in sound didn’t justify the price difference.
I am usually very picky when it comes to form and want something nice to look at, which is what initially turned me off about these... but the sound that comes out of them has made me appreciate these speakers so much.
The right and left speakers are solid and heavy, and they stay put wherever you put them (I have a glossy desk, and the rubber feet on the R and L speakers keep them pretty much secured to my desk. They don’t take up too much real estate and they match my keys and my monitor pretty well.
The subwoofer on the other hand... that thing is heavy... and Huge!!!
No flimsy rattly parts with these, and the speaker membranes are totally protected with a metal mesh.
Now the sound... I downloaded an eq app to pass my sound through, and I am infinitely pleased with the results. I can control 31 levels and the speakers handles each one flawlessly, the bass is never distorted, the highs are crystal clear, and these speakers are just about the best speakers I have ever tried that aren’t studio monitors.
I am amazed and so happy I went with these. There is a headphone jack and inputs for other devices like a gaming console...
The only thing I regret is not getting the option that includes optical audio hookup, because I want to plug everything into these speakers.
10/10, if you want eviction grade bass, these will get you your five day notice. If you want your eyes to roll to the back of your head while you listen to trap, this is your thing right here. If you want to get ptsd from playing Doom, this will help you achieve that goal.
Buy them and thank the universe for such great gifts

I really like this sound system. It's simple to setup and sounds amazing. I can control the bass and volume with separate dials too. There is only one thing I would change and that is the length of the cable that attached to the sub. It may be a little short for what someone may need and one of the main control speaker connects using a VGA cable so that was different. I assume if one needs to they can get a VGA extension and also a regular RCA extension for the other side. Other than that it's great.

Heard these in the store several weeks ago and was quite impressed with the quality of the sound so I finally picked them up. After hooking them up to my rig, they sounded even better than in the store. With clean crisp sound and really impressive bass from such a small setup you really can't go wrong with these.
Pros:
-High-quality THX certified sound.
-Room-shaking bass.
-Small and compact overall.
-Good value.
Cons
-Cable out to the PC is a tad short, but can easily be fixed with a longer M/M stereo audio cable if needed.

If you are looking for a great quality speaker, then these are it. While a little on the pricier side, it is true what they say with you get what you pay for. The sound is very clear ,and they can reach loud volumes without a loss in clarity. The bass is also quite good with a speaker size that is manageable.

They are loud and sound good. I love that the cords are so short that everything is a cluser on and under my desk. The bass box looks so cool on the floor surounded by dust and dog hair. My friends are envious of how loud it could go. Sadly i have to use headphones instead of these because I'm in an apartment now. Divorce is hard, lost the house and in a 2 bedroom now. Neighbors don't like to hear my anime shows playing so me and the 8 kids use headphones. Jim, my one friend, thinks this is a nice speaker system though. He told me when he came by last month to check out the new place.

The bass adjustment is a great touch to these. Great for movies and sports! More of a multi-purpose speaker setup and not specifically for music, so that could be a downside for many. It gets the job done but nothing too special. Cable from the sub to the left speaker is quite short for bigger desk setups

Bought these to replace some old Altec Lansing speakers for the family computer. They sound absolutely awesome and make you think they are hooked up to a home theater system. The bass is immense and punchy and the mids and tweeters are really clear and can handle a pretty high volume with out distorting.
I went to the store and played with the floor model first. The family started listening to more music on the computer so I wanted something that would be worth its money to upgrade from my current speakers so it was a choice between these and Klipsch. After about 20 minutes of playing with the floor models it was clear the logitech was the better system, and it has not disappointed. This system (besides Klipsch)makes all of the smaller computer speakers available sound like the speaker from a cell phone in comparison.
I am a basshead and the subwoofer will rattle the walls, even with the level at halfway . I have a Klipsch home theater system and was surprised how much better the Logitech sounded over the Klipsch computer speakers.
These speakers also include an auxillary audio input for like a Bluetooth adapter or other white/red audio inputs from other sources to play audio from.
Would definitely recommend. At 400 watts it is the only choice for the anyone that needs computer speakers.

These speakers are clear and have superb bass. Being THX certified, you don't have the issue of mid-range sounds becoming muddled by the bass and treble, which often happens on 2.1 speakers that are non-THX certified.
However there are two things to be aware of. First, the subwoofer is big: 12 inches in length and 11 inches high. Second, the cord from the speakers to the subwoofer is not long. I don't have the specific cord length, but with the speakers on my desk and the subwoofer on the floor beside my desk, the cord barely reached. In other words, if you buy these speakers subwoofer placement is extremely limited.
Overall, if you're looking for excellent computer speakers without a ridiculous price, then buy these.

I think this 2.1 system delivers similar quality sound as the 2.0 bookshelf speaker I used before (with like twice the price and slightly better bass sound), and the unit on table is compact so the space is highly saved. The disadvantage is the lack of bluetooth connection, and that's why this system is cheaper.

I bought these speakers for an older friend who loves to play music using a pc. Having the on/off switch and volume control on the one speaker makes these speakers super easy to manage. The sound quality is fantastic for the price point and left and right speaker are large enough to deliver great sound without over taking the entire desk. The subwoofer delivers solid bass and the combination of the three speakers produces a very nice sound stage. I was hesitant at first when purchasing these speakers because I wasnt sure they would have that big of an impact of the older smaller speakers they replaced. After hooking them up however and playing the first song I saw such amazement and thrill in my older friend that I knew that they were perfect

I bought these speakers to replace my 17-year-old 2.1 computer speakers and the difference is night and day. I thought my old speakers sounded just fine, they served me well for so many years, I only replaced them because one finally bit the dust... until I got these home and listened to them.
Bass is fantastic, and it’s nice to have a knob to adjust it right there as even set in the middle it is very powerful. This system will get loud, but still sounds fantastic when at a more reasonable volume. Really like that it has the ability for aux input and headphones on the right speaker as well, it’s really easy for me to plug in two different computers (one Mac and one PC) without having to switch the jack back and forth or use a switch of some kind. Cable lengths from the sub to the left/right speakers could be a little longer, I like to have the sub a little further away from me but your setup will vary. A great product, I can only hope these last me just as long as my last set!

The Z623 speakers sound incredible. I am what most would consider an audiophile. The z623 really sound very, very good. For the money I don't think you'd find anything else (comparable) that creates the clean highs, mids and bass! These are the closest thing I've found that have quality sound similar to Bang & Olufsen H9i headphones (which cost around 4-5 hundred).
I haven't run them past around 50% volume simply because that is more than loud enough for my use ...so I can't comment on the sound quality at their top 20% volume.
It is very nice that you can adjust the bass level to your preference and type of music.
The only real down sides for some people might be the size of the sub. It is pretty big (roughly 1' x 1' x 1') but sounds much bigger. And the other is that the speaker cable (for the right speaker with the controls on it) is proprietary and not very long so you can't have the speakers too far apart (plenty for a typical computer desk though)
I'd definitely recommend this set to anyone. Great sound and plenty of volume

Powerful and Immersive Sound: Logitech Z623 System
|

Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed.
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
Introduction:
I’ve been using the Logitech Z623 2.1 Speaker System since May of 2021, and it’s been a solid addition to my desktop setup. This review will highlight the pros and cons of this speaker system, hopefully providing potential buyers with essential information to make an informed decision.
Pros:
Immersive Sound Experience: The Logitech Z623 delivers a powerful and immersive sound experience. The 2.1 channel system is 330 TOTAL watts, with 130W going to the 7” ported subwoofer and 100W per satellite speaker. This amount of power ensures clear audio and deep, rich bass. I found that the audio quality was quite good whether I was gaming, watching movies, or listening to music.
Robust Bass Performance: The subwoofer in this system is outstanding given the price point. It adds depth and intensity to low-frequency sounds, making explosions, music beats, and action sequences come alive. I live in an apartment building and find myself having to turn the bass down quite a bit. For those in my same situation, this is something to be aware of. If you care about your neighbors, turn this down. If not, have a blast as this woofer can easily fill a medium to large room with thumping bass and make your neighbors hate you.
Convenient Control and Connectivity: The control pad is one of the more convenient features of the Z623 system. On the right satellite, you have easy access to volume adjustment, power, and bass control. Additionally, the system provides multiple connectivity options, including RCA and 3.5mm inputs, making it compatible with various devices.
Sturdy Build Quality: The speakers and subwoofer are well-built and feel solid. The satellite speakers have a sleek design that complements any desktop or entertainment setup. The system is built to last and withstand regular use.
Cons:
Lack of Wireless Connectivity: One notable drawback of the Logitech Z623 is the absence of wireless connectivity options such as Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. This means you'll need a wired connection to your audio source, which may limit placement options.
Satellite Speaker Cable Length: The length of the cables connecting the satellite speakers to the subwoofer may be a bit short for some setups. I recently upgraded to a 63x30 inch desktop and found that I was at the limits of the cable lengths. This is especially prevalent if you plan on cable managing as you can quickly run into issue. It's important to consider the distance between the subwoofer and the satellite speakers to ensure optimal placement and positioning.
Lack of Upgradeability: One limitation of the Logitech Z623 is its lack of upgradeability. The connectors used in this system are non-standard, which means you cannot easily replace or upgrade individual components. Furthermore, the subwoofer cannot be used independently without the satellite speakers, limiting your flexibility in configuring or expanding your audio setup.
Limited Equalizer Options: While the sound quality of the Z623 is excellent out of the box, some users might desire more customization options. The system lacks advanced equalizer settings, which may restrict audio fine-tuning to personal preferences. This is not a huge issue, as software EQ can get the job done in most cases.
Additional Information:
Power Requirements: The Logitech Z623 requires a power outlet for operation. Ensure you have a nearby power source available for the subwoofer and speakers.
Compatibility: The Z623 is compatible with a wide range of devices, including computers, laptops, gaming consoles, TVs, and DVD players. Ensure that your device has an available RCA or 3.5mm output for connection.
Room Size Consideration: The Logitech Z623 is well-suited for medium-sized rooms but may be overkill for smaller spaces. Make sure to consider the size of your room and your desired audio experience when choosing a speaker system.
Conclusion:
The Logitech Z623 2.1 Speaker System offers an immersive sound experience with powerful bass and convenient controls. While it lacks wireless connectivity and advanced equalizer options, it excels in delivering high-quality audio for gaming, movies, and music. If you're seeking an affordable and reliable 2.1 speaker system for your entertainment setup, the Logitech Z623 is a solid choice.

So, I was going to Best Buy to buy a cheap computer monitor speaker. I was only going to be staying in the place I was at for three months, and wanted to spend as little as possible, because they were probably gonna get thrown away when I left. I started listening to all of their options, and ended up paying full price for this amazing set of speakers, and then had to carry them around with me when I left. Simply put, these sound utterly fantastic. Their base is booming. Their mids and highs are absolutely clear. You can adjust settings. They are THX certified, and if you don’t know what that means, that means they sound even better than this review can say. You know they’re good, when you pay full price. The only thing that I wish, is that they had an optical input. These are high enough quality that you could hook them up to your TV. Very happy with this purchase.

For 100$ I'm absolutely amazed at the sound output. Highs and mids are very crisp. Bass will hit you in the chest at high volumes. It does take a little adjustment on equalizer to get perfect sound but then again what speakers don't. Would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for the best bang for their buck in the 100$range. I bought for my PC but will more then likely buy another for my tv in separate room.
