Decent sound for budget system
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this system after getting annoyed with the previous system sounded like listening through a cardboard tube. Moved into a new place where the computer room is a lot smaller than the previous place. Last place had room for a full bookshelf speaker monitor system with separate amp etc. Needed something that sounded good, but didn't take up a lot of space. Picked up a used system from goodwill to have better sound from the tv in the rv. works ok for that but really bad for music. Numerous reviews for the new logitec system rated this system close to the top (with the best seeming to look like it came out of the museum of modern art) I te nd to listen to what is called progressive rock, or prog-rock. Instruments rage from light acoustrical winds and strings to heavy electric bass and drums. On the whole, I like the sounds from this system, Highs are real clear and bass will have you moving. Volume sounds good at low levels, but still kicks out pretty well when turned up. There seems to be a slight lack of clarity in some of the lower mid ranges, somewhere between the mids and the sub, but that may be mitigated with an equalizer program. Sub fits under my desk with no problem and the main units aren't too big or obtrusive. Speaker technology has come a long way since I was a kid. Would have killed for a set up like this back then. To get any significant sound improvement you're going to either have to go to the 5.1 systems or start spending a lot more money. Keep in mind this is in a 10x12 room, and bigger rooms will require more sound to fill it. What could be better? I would have liked to see better eq control on the front of the speaker. Only has a volume and bass level knobs. I've noticed a small humm coming through the speakers while scrolling through web pages with nothing playing. Could be my motherboard sound card section, or some other rf interference. Could be the wires and connectors need better grounding or shielding. Not a huge problem and only noticeable if you listen for it. Slight gaps in the crossover frequency, again mostly if you're listening for it. Otherwise a good unit and doing what I wanted it for.

best computer speakers ever !!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.look i know its all in the individual ear, but this is far and away the best computer speakers ive ever owned, ive used them during movie playback, gaming, playing music, and everything is superb, the bass is not booming but perfect for the situation, the sound quality is second to none, i own a home theatre and am familiar with speaker sound, you can tell once you open the box its way better, the speakers are significantly heavier than standard computer speakers, the setup took me all of 5 minutes to complete, just plug and play, i opted for the analog since i dont really need the optical imput from the z625 setup, im doing this at the same day i purchased them, so i know they will just keep on amazing me with the sound quality, would recommend them to anyone.

Great Computer Speaker System
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.By far, this is the best Computer speaker system I have owned. The sound is great and the generous 200-watt (RMS) and THX-Certified makes for big, bold and clean audio experience. Furthermore, the subwoofer is so powerful; I never have to turn it past 50%; it even sounds great at lower volume settings. Equally as important, for me, and what cemented my decision in choosing the Logitech - Z623 2.1 Speaker System was that the controls are on the satellite speakers, which are at arms length away on top of my desk. Other systems did not offer such an option – they had the controls on the sub-woofer, which is simply not desirable for me.

Amazing speakers, so great I bought 2 sets!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely love these speakers. I bought a set for my office at work, and fell in love instantly. It is difficult to find a good set of speakers that both sound good and have great bass, but these knock them both out of the park. Very simple to set up, amazing sound quality, and can get ridiculously loud! In my office, you can feel every beat of the subwoofer. I purchased a 2nd set for my setup at home, which is in a much larger room. The quality is still there, I just don't feel the bass as much, but would still 100% recommend these to anyone needing to up their audio game.

Absolutely Bumps
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For starters/a background of my situation: I have this system setup in my office and use it for movies and music. I originally bought cheaper $20 Insignia speakers thinking they would do the job. Needless to say, I upgraded to a much more expensive system and have zero regrets. Pros: - Incredible bass: this system is 400 watts and you can feel every bit of it. I live in an apartment and constantly fear that even in the middle of the day the system is too loud. At less than halfway on the volume knob, you can hear walls and accents shaking in the room. The subwoofer is very large, but even the desktop speakers themselves are rich in bass. - Individual bass controls: there is a main volume knob for overall volume as well as a smaller knob that controls just the bass. I primarily keep the bass knob at 75% because at 100% it can be overwhelming and drown out sound at low and mid volumes. - Auxiliary output: this is both a pro and a con (see later in "cons"). Aux output is fairly universal so I can plug in my phone, laptop, xbox controller (game volume) etc. - Simple setup: as is the case for most 3-speaker sets, it is as simple as wiring both speakers to the sub, and plugging the sub into the wall. From there you can use the aux output to your device from the right-side desktop speaker. - Overall sound: as redundant to the incredible bass mention as it may be, it is worth noting multiple times how incredible the sound is from these speakers. The THX certification is not only heard, but felt anytime there's a 'boom' during an action scene. I'm personally not much of an audiophile so I won't overreach and try to do a breakdown of how the sound breaks-down at each level and decibel, but what I can mention is that every input sounds crisp, clear, loud, and booming. Cons: - Bluetooth: one of the only features that could improve this speaker set. However, this is not a requirement or huge drawback. - Design/appearance: yet again, not something that makes me think less of the speakers, but something that could be improved. There are other speakers, even Logitech, that have a much better look. Overall, these speakers are nothing short of incredible and I have no regrets upgrading to these. Most Best Buy stores I've been in have demos available - I would highly recommend giving a listen and seeing for yourself.

Incredible sound for the price. BUY THESE!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Incredible sound for the competitive low price. Deep solid bass and crystal clear highs. Sub woofer is insanely heavy (which is a good thing). Love having the bass volume control on the satellite speaker so I don't have to crawl under my computer desk to adjust it. You'll love them, your neighbors maybe not so much. And fast free shipping.

Outstanding Sound Experience!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can’t say enough good things about the Logitech Z623 2.1 speaker system. We own three of these systems in our family, and they never cease to impress. The sound quality is phenomenal, providing crisp, clear audio and a surround sound experience that fills the entire room. Whether we’re watching movies, playing games, or listening to music, the Logitech Z623 delivers an immersive audio experience every time. One of the standout features is the ease of use. All it takes is a slight turn of the dial, and you can control the volume effortlessly with your remote. The bass is powerful yet balanced, making every beat feel rich and full. Living on the bottom floor, we often have to deal with noise from upstairs. However, this system has been a game-changer. It effectively drowns out the background noise, allowing us to enjoy our media without any disturbances. The build quality is robust, and the design fits seamlessly into our home decor. In short, if you’re looking for a speaker system that combines superior sound quality, ease of use, and reliability, the Logitech Z623 2.1 is the perfect choice. Highly recommend!

LOGITECH Z 623 2.1 THX Certified Speakers w/Sub
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Logitech Z623 2.1 THX Certified Speakers w/Subwoofer 400W peak 200W RMS are truly the best “bang for the buck”! I use them on my PC, which still has a standard 1/8” (3.5mm) analog headphone style jack. The setup supports both RCA and headphone jack interfaces. I have been able to turn up the volume up all the way with no distortion. I am very impressed for the output considering its small footprint. Good things do still come in small packages. It isn’t necessary to crank it up either, it thumps and rumbles even at mid -3/4 volume. I use it for music, movie streaming and some gaming. I plan on getting a Creative Sound Blaster setup to further dial the sound with the EQ settings in the app, but this Speaker setup really brought my basic Realtek audio factory sound new life.

Amazing sound
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great computer speakers, perhaps more powerful than you’ll need for a personal computer. The treble is well balanced and the bass is very heavy. Not your typical computer speakers. They can get loud and the sound remains very crispy. If size is an issue, maybe you might consider seeing the satellite speakers and subwoofer in person before purchasing. Very satisfied overall. Among the best sounding computer speakers I’ve owned. If sound is your thing, those are for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing sound for an excellent
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I tested these out at Best Buy, along with the new Harmon Kardon soundsticks, and though the soundsticks sounded “clearer” to me, I went with these as they were significantly less, and the difference in sound didn’t justify the price difference. I am usually very picky when it comes to form and want something nice to look at, which is what initially turned me off about these... but the sound that comes out of them has made me appreciate these speakers so much. The right and left speakers are solid and heavy, and they stay put wherever you put them (I have a glossy desk, and the rubber feet on the R and L speakers keep them pretty much secured to my desk. They don’t take up too much real estate and they match my keys and my monitor pretty well. The subwoofer on the other hand... that thing is heavy... and Huge!!! No flimsy rattly parts with these, and the speaker membranes are totally protected with a metal mesh. Now the sound... I downloaded an eq app to pass my sound through, and I am infinitely pleased with the results. I can control 31 levels and the speakers handles each one flawlessly, the bass is never distorted, the highs are crystal clear, and these speakers are just about the best speakers I have ever tried that aren’t studio monitors. I am amazed and so happy I went with these. There is a headphone jack and inputs for other devices like a gaming console... The only thing I regret is not getting the option that includes optical audio hookup, because I want to plug everything into these speakers. 10/10, if you want eviction grade bass, these will get you your five day notice. If you want your eyes to roll to the back of your head while you listen to trap, this is your thing right here. If you want to get ptsd from playing Doom, this will help you achieve that goal. Buy them and thank the universe for such great gifts

Lots of sound for the money.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Heard these in the store several weeks ago and was quite impressed with the quality of the sound so I finally picked them up. After hooking them up to my rig, they sounded even better than in the store. With clean crisp sound and really impressive bass from such a small setup you really can't go wrong with these. Pros: -High-quality THX certified sound. -Room-shaking bass. -Small and compact overall. -Good value. Cons -Cable out to the PC is a tad short, but can easily be fixed with a longer M/M stereo audio cable if needed.

Loud and clear
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are looking for a great quality speaker, then these are it. While a little on the pricier side, it is true what they say with you get what you pay for. The sound is very clear ,and they can reach loud volumes without a loss in clarity. The bass is also quite good with a speaker size that is manageable.

You'll love the Logitech Z623 pc speaker system!
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was in the market to replace some older, very basic speakers that I'd had for several years which had been giving me some trouble and decided that my next set would be an upgrade. I figured that it would be worth paying a little more to get more bang for my buck, as they say. I did some research and selected the Z623 by Logitech. Immediately upon receiving the box, I could tell that they're not your average desktop speakers by its size and weight. The packaging was great and provided plenty of protection. The two satellite speakers produce high quality sound: a good mid-range for the vocals as well as nice crisp highs, and they pack a lot of power. The subwoofer will make your entire room rumble. Of course, it's all adjustable and right at your fingertips. In summary, I highly recommend these speakers. They'll enhance your online streaming experience and will allow you to enjoy listening to your music library. It was easy to connect (I kid you not - they were up and running within a few minutes) and you'll be thrilled with the quality of the sound.

Superb speakers...Great clarity
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These speakers are clear and have superb bass. Being THX certified, you don't have the issue of mid-range sounds becoming muddled by the bass and treble, which often happens on 2.1 speakers that are non-THX certified. However there are two things to be aware of. First, the subwoofer is big: 12 inches in length and 11 inches high. Second, the cord from the speakers to the subwoofer is not long. I don't have the specific cord length, but with the speakers on my desk and the subwoofer on the floor beside my desk, the cord barely reached. In other words, if you buy these speakers subwoofer placement is extremely limited. Overall, if you're looking for excellent computer speakers without a ridiculous price, then buy these.

Jim likes them
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They are loud and sound good. I love that the cords are so short that everything is a cluser on and under my desk. The bass box looks so cool on the floor surounded by dust and dog hair. My friends are envious of how loud it could go. Sadly i have to use headphones instead of these because I'm in an apartment now. Divorce is hard, lost the house and in a 2 bedroom now. Neighbors don't like to hear my anime shows playing so me and the 8 kids use headphones. Jim, my one friend, thinks this is a nice speaker system though. He told me when he came by last month to check out the new place.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think this 2.1 system delivers similar quality sound as the 2.0 bookshelf speaker I used before (with like twice the price and slightly better bass sound), and the unit on table is compact so the space is highly saved. The disadvantage is the lack of bluetooth connection, and that's why this system is cheaper.
