I have used my Lomi everyday since I purchased it and I love it. I have found the Lomi setting for composting is best for me and my usages. When I've made the soil from the longer setting it does make soil, but when I have added that soil to my plants it gets a weird hairy mold growing in it and flies. For me I like the Lomi setting to do the quick running 5-8 hour setting to add the Lomi compost to my green garbage compost container which eliminates the nasty bugs and smell in the barrel prior to garbage day.

It didn’t work and their Support department said it would not provide me assistance as it didn't know who I was. The first time I used it, it worked and Significantly reduced the size of the waste. But the second time I used it it failed and created a rockhard substance that prevented the wheel inside it from turning. I had to soak it for two days to clean it out and support provided no assistance. So I returned it

My experience with the Lomi has been excellent. I have run the Lomi in grow mode 25 times thus far with expected results. There was some extra noise came from the processing of corn husks, cobs, and pedicels. The pedicels (stems) were very hard and a noise from the Lomi could be heard throughout the house while processing the pedicels. The noise subsided after about 30 minutes of processing. Overall the sound level from the Lomi has been equivalent to the sound level from a dishwasher. At the end of processing watermelon rinds the result was still wet. This is attributable to the high water content of watermelon rinds. As per other recommendations, I ran the result again along with drier contents like clean (no glue, no tape, and no ink) shredded cardboard. The final results were the expected perfect dry compost. If the resultant Lomi compost is wet, just process it again along with dry content to help absorb extra moisture. In addition to corn cobs and watermelons, I have also processed clean shredded cardboard, paper towels, tea bags (without the strings), grass clippings, and fallen leaves through the Lomi to produce compost. The compost is being added to my garden soil during the fall and winter. Additionally, I plan to use a little bit of the compost for growing vegetables indoors. After 25 processing runs, I feel I have given the Lomi a good workout. The grow mode has consistently taken about 16 hours to cycle through its process. I have run the Lomi for 400 hours thus far. I am impressed with the functionality and performance of the Lomi.

Okay, it’s great but it’s a little finicky at times. If you’re not careful, you can end up making food waste pudding that will kill your appetite when you open it up after a day or so of use. Overall, it’s a solid product. I throw just about anything that is allowed into Lomi and it does well enough turning it into dirt. The Lomi pods and grow mode do a good job creating nutrient rich dirt but it honestly takes a long time. The device gets warm and it shouldn’t be used in enclosed spaces. It is quiet but also noticeable when it is running. I love the product and would buy it again but keep in mind it is far from perfect.

Expensive but this makes it easy to keep up with composting food waste. I do wish it held a bit more. I use a lot of fresh produce so I run my lomi at least 3-4 times a week. I can add it directly to my garden or to my compost pile. So much easier than a standard compost set up that takes months to break down under the right conditions.

Works as advertized. You have to mix the compost with soil in a 10 to 1 ratio but it has reduced our food waste into a useful product. Very quiet when running. Very expensive at full price. Managed to catch it when it was $150 off and had a bunch of Best Buy rewards that i was able to use that made the purchase a little easier on the wallet.

They make it sound so easy but food gets burned onto the bottom and blades and is not easy to get off. I found pumpkin burned the most and got stuck. I will keep trying different combinations and see what works best. It is true that a lot of food waste composts down to small amounts.

It works just like the description. Put your kitchen waste in, press a button and outcomes compost. No smell, no bugs, so easy. The compost is very fine and fluffy.

I love my Lomi- I use it everyday. As vegetarians, my wife and I use our completed compost as fertilizer in our garden. We have less waste in our garbage cans now. I have tried each of the settings on Lomi and all work as advertised.

Very disappointed with result of dirt. Took too long to produce the diet. String did not compose and stuck to blades. Used too much energy to produce dirt. Bust Buy was great on returning and refund.

I am having so much fun with this. I only add fresh fruit and vegetable scraps and egg shells, not table scraps, because of reviews I read about goo forming that can’t be removed from the blades. I love that the end product is ready to throw into my garden.

Don’t buy waste of money I have had it just a few months it has already stopped working

3 weeks in and it stopped working. The Lomi pods were also defective. When I opened the pod packet they were already mostly disintegrated. Really wanted this to work but so disappointed

Great for plants. Our plants have really come to life with the compost, however it is very large.

Works as described. It looks great and fits my kitchen perfectly.

This company is on to something and one can only hope this gizmo takes off. While Lomi promotes this as a "countertop appliance," it's as bulky as a microwave and we actually found it more convenient sitting somewhere on the floor - ideally near your current wastebasket. And it works just like they say it should. We would have given this five stars but for two things. The first is biodegradable pods (and charcoal); while the unit includes a "starter pack," Pela inteds eto offer some kind of subscription (in the future) so provides no information on getting refills - an unnecessary hassle. Second, while the design is clever in that it only uses one button, changing between modes is the opposite of how other electronics do it - you have to hold the button down to change modes, Just touching it starts a cycle, which you can't stop. Otherwise, this is a unique solution and very nicely designed and in tune to people's desire to live a greener life.

Use it 2-3 times a week and ots really helped us keep our trash from being smelly and to reduce our carbon footprint. Only issue is that the setting for being able to put compost onto plants really requires mixing it with dirt first. We dont think you can just add ot to house plants. Howvwer maybe were doung it wrong.
