It was worth it for sure! You can’t go wrong with this movie on 4K. I still remember watching it when I was a lot younger. when I saw it in a Best Buy store they had the blu-ray one because the 4K one hadn’t exist yet, until I found out that a 4K Version of this masterpiece existed. But when I opened it one disc fell off but luckily it wasn’t scratched.

I remember first time I saw The Professional, excuse me, I mean, LEON: The Professional, and I said to myself that Portman had superstar qualities. You really appreciate and buy into the characters, especially when the actors embrace the role. Here is a movie about a hitman befriending a little girl and teaching how to do "wet work", yet they are both very likable and are filled w kindness, eventhough they only show the love toward one another and never let others see their human side.

If you like action packed movie, plus the total bliss enjoyment of high definition, high quality visual and audio, then this is it for you. A remastered version, in stunning visual 4k transfer, plus Dolby Atmos audio, you will be in Nirvana. The bullets zipping literally pass by the side of your ears. Reno and Portman are both superb in this classic movie. Must add to your collection.

Leon the professional is soon to be a classic with its introduction to Natalie Portman and the fine acting of Gary Oldman and others. Now presented in 4k I had to repurchase it. With catch phrases like No women no children you'll find yourself trying to be a cleaner around your house to ;)

Leon has been one of my favorite films for a very long time. The new 4k just made it better. Threw it up on my 150” screen through an Epson 5040UB and an Oppo 4k player. Cranked up the sound and was taken away to a fantastic movie experience. Colors popped, blacks were right in the zone and soon I forgot about the technical aspects and just fell into the film. Transfer is good, sound is good. Movie is fantastic.

I love this movie! I look for steel book movies whenever I go to best buy. They usually have extras and we upload them to a streaming service to watch in multiple locations. Highly recommend this movie for too many reasons to mention. Very deep, yet very exciting and moves fast. Gary Oldman does an awesome job in this movie.

Leon The Professional - Pop Art Steelbook

This is an awesome piece to own if your a fan of steelbooks and Leon The Professional. The artwork is great and has a matte (flat) finish to it, nothing special in that particular area. The BD is not the 4k transfer, as this came out a bit before 4K, but there's still not much to gripe about if you own the current BD release. Contains both versions of the film - Theatrical Cut and International Cut. For the price ($15), it was well worth the double dip.

From the same director as the Fifth Element, Luc Besson, this was a must have, even without it being the talented Natalie Portman's first film. The great thing about this set is that you get both versions of the film, one of which was a bit too racy and bold for theaters and features the original title of Leon, which I guess didn't track with American audiences as The Professional did. Both unsettling and exciting, it's full of great acting and action.

I also purchased the Fifth Element collectors case by this artist and it is a great addition to my collection. Leon: The Professional is a fantastic movie and was the vehicle that launched Natalie Portman's career. (Possibly her best performance in my opinion). It has a great story with a lolita-esque relationship between the titular characters. It also has Gary Oldman in one of his most powerful performances. A must see and a great collectors case.

An Incredible Film, Incredible 4K Presentation

This is one of my all-time favorite movies. It is extremely intense and violent at times so be aware of that. It is also extremely engaging with outstanding acting at every turn. The filming style is so powerful that in 4K it is almost overwhelming at times, as is the soundtrack. But to me, it all fits with the theme of the movie. Luc Besson masterfully delivers a true gem.

If you have been able to watch the characters of Leon, Mathilda & Stansfield come to life on screen, buy this movie now (Jene Reno, Natalie Portman and Gary Oldman bring epic performances to three very memorable characters)...this best buy exclusive cover offers you the reverse perspective of one of the two main characters...artwork of Portman on this steelbook is as classic as the Leon UK 20th anniversary steelbook via Sudio Canal...

Only the French could pull off such a complicated relationship between an aging hit man and a 12 year old girl. It goes right up to the line. Leon the Professional is a fairy tale of sorts. It has action and sentiment and a gonzo Gary Oldman performance but it all works into a satisfying mix. The longer European cut is the real movie, not the hatchet job released in the states as The Professional.

One of The Best Assassin Films

This film is about a lonely assassin for the Italian mob. He has a routine and lives his life without any apparent conviction. But one day he saves a girl from a corrupt cop (brilliantly played by Gary Oldman) and then the story unfolds both in a violent and heartfelt manner. If you like well directed action, and excellent performances (especially by Natalie Portman) then I recommend this one.

This was a great film to watch the first time because it was edge of your seat plot development and action scenes - never knew what was coming next! I have watched it several times since, and always pick up something new that adds to my enjoyment of this movie. Great casting and acting; I highly recommend this to anyone that likes plenty of action with an edgy plot.

For those of us who have enjoyed this movie in the past, be prepared to see is as if for the first time again. This new 4K blu-ray transfer of Leon the Professional is flawless. The visuals are so clean, none of the previous dirt or film issues are in this version, it's flawless. Audio also feels just as clean.

Leon the Professional is one of my Favorite Luc Besson Movies. Its also one of his first movies that he wrote and directed. 1080P AVC 25+ Mbps DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 (96kHz, 24-bit) Stunning visual quality and great sound. Note that the original movie was filmed so some grain is seen, but it is artfully done in this transfer. Ok, the Metal box. Very well made and looks great in my movie collection.

WOW! This movie is not what I expected. The story line behind it was very interesting. It keeps you on the edge of your seat. Natalie Portman was and continues to be an excellent actress. With this movie you get to experience most every emotion: laughter, sadness, anger and sweet satisfaction...again WOW!
