If you like Big Sky Country and mysteries, this series seems like a perfect marriage of the two. It is worth watching for the scenery and rustic interiors alone. Based on a popular mystery series by Craig Johnson, the sheriff, Walt Longmire, is skillfully played as an independent, compassionate but tough lawman who is recovering from the death of his wife. Australian actor Robert Taylor plays this role but leaves his accent down under. At first he seemed nondescript to me. Couldn't pick him out in a line-up, but his magnetism grows on you. He has got an abrasive and occasionally annoying female deputy, Vic, whose impulsive energy is the perfect foil for his understated demeanor. Series that are based on novels seems to have more depth of detail and nuances. Look forward to seeing future episodes. I think this is going to be a popular series as it has the essentials: likable detective, inspired casting, gorgeous setting, rustic western décor, complex plots and characters, and interesting dialogue.

Sheriff Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the big guy standing in front of that breathing taking scenery! Walt Longmire is a strong man but fallible, he does serious sleuthing, supported by great characters his oldest best friend, Henry Standing Bear, his daughter the attorney, the hot headed female deputy, and the ambitious young deputy out to take his job. There is a convincing feel to the whole package; the hero only gets better—both at solving cases and at hooking the audience so curl up and get comfortable on the couch!

Someone told us about this series and we love it!! Based on a writer's books, it's a crime series based on present day Wyoming with a sheriff named Longmire. Also admire the Native American characters and influences on the show. If you by this series, guaranteed you'll end up binge watching it.

Great character's, bitting wit, serious sleuthing, keeps things moving quickly by blending very serious human motivations, injecting unpredictable twist that include complicated family bonds and secrets. The scenery is breath taking and as for me I always see if I solved the crime! Looking forward to season 2.

I bought this for a gift since I saw the season 1 long ago. Great acting great story. The western flair to it makes it perfect for old western fans but it has enough modern elements to make it enjoyable for younger folks as well. Probably not for the millennial generation.

I really enjoy Sherriff Longmire and his tactics as well as Standing Bear ( aka ) Lou Diamond Phillips also it was great seeing Grahm Greene. He makes good Tough Guy. All in all it is like I said before a fantastic series. Can't wait to see what happens next.

We absolutely love Longmire and we cannot wait until the next season! Definitely our favorite TV show ever by far. We really hope that it is a long running show with many more years to come!

The good ones always get cancelled ! I had seasons 2&3 , now it's complete with the beginning ! Great old school crime solving frontier style ! Walt Longmire is the man!

very awesome show, I found it on Netflix...latest New TV Shows I cant really get into...this 1 turned out to be an awesome show. 4 seasons, add this to your collection!

I love this show on netflix. Got it for family member who does not watch netflix. They were thrilled to get as they had heard great things about show.

Love longmire, very entertaining. I will purchase the set for Christmas gift. The characters or good, the store line is excellent. 5 star entertainment.

Age may enter into the equation of holfding a public position as Sheriff, but experience is the key element in holding onto that position.

We are introduced to Sheriff Walt Longmire, Vic, Branch and Henry Standing Bear. Beautiful scenery and a great story that I hope continues for years to come.

Great Fun. Downhome feel. Not like your other police shows. Longmire takes an easy going, yet often confusing (to his officers) approach to solving crimes.

Arrived on time, you made it easy to order. It arrived in perfect condition. We like the series and was glad to fine it at Best Buy on line.

This is such a great show. It has a bit of that old western theme to it for the modern age and has such an amazing cast.

Excellent show. The characters are great. Addictive, will make you want to watch the 2nd season immediately.

Walt Longmire is a vey complex man. This is a great series I can't wait for the new ones to come out!
