I was so excited this series got revived on Netflix. We've been watching this show from the beginning & the writing and acting are topnotch. I was so angry when A&E cancelled it despite good ratings. Makes no sense to me. I like crime procedurals/murder mysteries etc, so I added this to out TIVO to do list & never looked back. It's really excellent. If you're looking for a show with explosions & all the cast are overly model looking 20-somethings with a convoluted plot, this show is not for you. The people are very real and they don't force a zillion overly dramatic plots in one episode. It can even be a little laid back, but fascinating and worth following all the way. It takes place in Wyoming, in a semi rural area near a reservation. There always seems to be some tension between the Native Americans & just about everyone else, as they like to keep to themselves & deal with their own issues. Those issues sometimes spill over outside the reservation & issues outside the reservation sometimes spill in. The Sheriff Longmire is a bit of a technophobe. It's a bit of an ongoing annoyance with others, esp as he doesn't carry a cellphone. He's friends with running Bear, played by Lou Diamond Phillips. Their longstanding friendship is believable and wonderful to watch. If you like crime shows, Westerns or just really good dramas, you should check this show out.

Bought this for my husband and he loves this series!

I used to follow this cable tv series when it first started on TNT if I'm not mistaken. I thought it was really stupid if them to drop it and was elated when it got picked up on another cable channel. The characters are not cartoonish but interesting and mature. This show does not insult your intelligence. I promise you enjoy every episode.

I searched for season 4 to be in the stores. It was worth the wait. I enjoyed the series when it was on the cable channel and I was angry, when A & E cancelled it. Mr.Robert, the lead character is complex but sensitive, driven to seek the truth to the bitter end. The supporting cast is great, also they all bring a dynamic to each episode. I'm happy to add this to my collection!

I am an avid fan of the Longmire series. Growing up in the West, the author's depiction of that area and the people brings fond memories to me of my life. The detail on horses and their unique relationship to humankind is spot on. Henry Standing Bear is especially accurate describing the majesty and humanity of the Indian in our society.

Once again Sheriff Longmire Victoria and cast deliver this is an excellent series thank God Netflix picked it up headed to see it taking off of the network station but he's back and this series will surprise you

a very surprising resolution to the cliffhanger AMC left us on when it cancelled this show - the change to NETFLIX aided "Longmire" - more story content per episode and still very high production values

Great addition to my collection. I enjoyed the books & the series was true to form. I'm waiting for season 5 to be released.

This is a great insight on law enforcement in a small town. Very interesting and deeply entwined with the personal lives of the members. I thoroughly enjoyed this show!

We just loved the Longmire TV Series and was sad to see it go on Netflix BUT, happy it was still alive! Good Quality Disks make to super viewing.

This show is like a modern western and a police procedural show blended together. The characters are well written and the acting is great, what else do you need.

What a great way to spend an hour or more watching a man. This show is great. Wanted more of Branch but the new character that took his place is good too.

This is a great addition to the previous 3 seasons and should not be missed. I am so glad Netflix decided to pick this show up and continue this series!

I have the collection from season 1-4. Very cool show, sort of an old western played out in today's situations, cool show! Add it to favortex lists

Enjoyed watching the series throughout the four seasons. This series is a good alternative to some of the others out there. Give it a shot.

I liked watching Longmire when it was shown for "free" on TV. Was disappointed when it was bought by Netflex and now I have to buy the DVD.

I have the entire series (4) Just finished the 5th season on Netflix. A great western background setting visually and dramatic stories.

Longmire was my very favorite show. Was so disappointed when it no longer came on AMC. Found it on Netflix, but wanted the DVD's.

Good price and easy to get through Best Buy in mail with a couple other purchases.
