This well-acted movie, interweaving action with philosophy, satisfies at multiple levels. Loopers are assassins who travel back in time to off their targets. The catch is that they also have to kill their own future selves. When the future self (Willis) of one looper (Gordon-Levitt) refuses to be offed, they both become targets. The aggressive 5.1 lossless audio shows off the action, while dialog remains clear. The natural-looking video combines great color and detail, although black level is a little shaky at times. With a smart script, great chemistry between Gordon-Levitt and Willis, and hardcore action, it is no surprise that Looper is on everyone's list of top 10 movies in 2012.

Looper is a smart and violent sci-fi flick where in the future mobsters use a time travel device to dispose of enemies and their own hitmen. It's more than just Willis & Levitt trying to kill each other. The story takes a big turn when we arrive at Emily Blunt's farm. It has a more grounded version of what the future would like & everybody in the cast is just great. There is a lot of thought put into the various timelines & how a young person can affect the older version of himself. The special features go into the ideas behind Looper, all the makeup effects Levitt had to go through, what if time travel was real, the music score, & a commentary with the cast and crew. Looper has a lot of replay value & I look forward to what director Rian Johnson does next.

The headphones have a great sound and clear audio. The fact that it is wireless provides wonderful leisure away from the constraints of wired ear buds. The Bluetooth function is extremely helpful with connecting to any device that has the same capability. They're very comfortable and fit tight in the ear buds. They connected very fast, without any interruption at all. I would recommend this product to anyone at this stellar price!

A very unique film about time travel without a ton of special effects and some great performances. A crime syndicate is sending people they want killed into the past to be killed by Loopers, assassins hired to execute these people and ask no questions. When their contract is up, they must kill their future self, live out the next 30 years freely, and then be sent back to be killed, thus closing their loop. When something goes wrong, the future could be in grave danger. Joseph Gordon Levitt, Bruce Willis, and Emily Blunt give fantastic performances in one of the best sci-fi films in years

I had never watched this movie all the way through before purchasing the 4K Blu-Ray and the upgraded resolution makes the first watch through all the more satisfying. Details, color, and sound were astonishing and make the definitive home experience for this movie! Highly recommend!

This film, while not the best film out there in 2013 had something that not a lot of films had to offer nowadays. A secret ingredient most films are missing. Something huge, and very hard to find in high budget film. Originality. It successfully brings together the young man coming of age gangster film, and matches it with a time travel science fiction film. The result is something that's feels fresh and new While not for every one, it's very interesting, and worth the try. It paid out for me.

If you are a fan of this movie....or not, and you have the proper 4k tv and 4k player, this is the must have version of this movie! They really did a great job on the 4k transfer. I bought the 4k import version earlier because I couldnt wait for the U.S. release, and I must say the U.S. version is superior by far!!!

The new 4K is excellent both in picture quality and sound. It is an upgrade from the already good Blu-ray for sure. I would recommend it if you don't already own it. If you want to upgrade over the Blu-ray I would wait for a sale around $15.00 or lower and it will be a steal for that much.

Looper is a good movie if you can over look its faults. I think that it has alot of good action, and an interesting plot line. Sometimes it focuses to much on the young looper, taking care of Emily Blunt. I think other then that the movie had alot of good action scenes. Bruce Willis character was very interesting, and did a great job of portraying an unstoppable terminator type hitman.

Fantastic movie gets a fantastic upgrade to 4K. The 4K resolution alone makes the already very good Blu-Ray look noticeably sharper, but the HDR takes it up another notch. This was probably Bruce Willis' last great flick, and Joseph Gordon Levitt does a good job at imitating Willis.

Bruce Willis plays an interesting part where he is confronted with himself from the past where he is to be killed by himself. Doesn't make sense at first, but as the story progresses it all comes together. Not a bad movie, but didn't get much review. I do like movies like this myself because it gives you a possible vision of the future. Shure it's science fiction but you never know, it could be reality some day. Anything is possible!

A realistic take on the possibility of time travel. Interesting in its value neutral portrayal of criminality and environmentally unapocalyptic view of an environment saturated with what should be considered legacy technology that far into the future. The conservative political influence is apparent.

This movie was interesting. And, for 5 dollars, I couldn't go wrong. It is something that makes you think pretty much up to the end, and you don't actually see the ending coming or think what is done will be done. Then, it all makes sense. Of course, this is for first timers. Watching the movie a few times over of course will yield a clearer understanding of what it means to erase yourself form existence.

Let's get it out of the way right now. All time travel movies eventually stumble into a paradox. It's ok. Let it go. It's just fiction. That said, the premise is novel and interesting. Joseph Gordon Levitt does a great job impersonating a young Bruce Willis. Heck, even my wife liked it, once she stopped questioning the whole "But what about the...?" paradox. Like I said... let it go.

This movie is good... this was a very good time to buy old movies during this pandemic,thanks to best buy and his employees that were still providing an excellent service, I was not only able to buy the movie but i received it so fast and it great condition, that makes me buy a few more. Thank you

I can almost always predict the ending of these films, but this one I never saw coming. The plot weaves many possible outcomes together, so it is necessary to pay close attention throughout. I loved the character development and the way each of the adults made their decisions. I bought this DVD because I could see myself wanting to watch it several more times because of the implications of time travel and the way each character influenced the outcome of the plot.

Looper is a "destined to be classic" entrance into the Time Travel genre. The story is intricate and well told. The actors do a great job. Bruce Willis has never been so un-heroic. Yet, he is effectively used to give the movie some heft. Joseph-Gordon Levitt's amazing job of disappearing into character under some imaginative prosthetics needs to be seen. The places this movie goes will surprise you. Like a poor man's AKIRA. Very cool.

I found Looper quite a tense and engaging science fiction thriller. Yes, it’s a little far fetched as all time travel movies are, but never the less it was entertaining. Plus this new 4K native release and Dolby mix adds some video and audio muscle.

Anyone who skipped "Looper" when it first hit theaters should consider picking it up on Blu-ray now that it is available at a great price. The acting is solid, the concept is intriguing and there are some great action scenes. If there are any drawbacks, it is that the pace of the film slows down somewhat toward the end. Still, how can you go wrong with a time-traveling mobster film?
