Bruce Wills' last good movie, Looper looks great on 4K Blu-ray. A clever script, interesting characters and excellent acting make Looper a movie to definately see. Willis plays the time travelling future version of the man Joseph Gordon Levitt plays in a younger incarnation. Levitt must track down his future self and stop him from funding and assassinating a future powerful criminal boss while that boss is still a child or suffer the consequences. I hate giving away spoilers, so I won't say more. The 4K blu-ray looks surprisingly good for a film unconverted from a 2K master. The addition of HDR is really the game changer here. It looks dramatically superior to the standard Blu-ray. Highly recomanded.

Great movie. This is a great sci fi movie if you like blade runner 2049 . Under rated classic.

Underrated SiFi action movie. Reminds a lot of the Terminator Series.

Old movie, not seen on a dvd format any where else

This well-acted movie, interweaving action with philosophy, satisfies at multiple levels. Loopers are assassins who travel back in time to off their targets. The catch is that they also have to kill their own future selves. When the future self (Willis) of one looper (Gordon-Levitt) refuses to be offed, they both become targets. The aggressive 5.1 lossless audio shows off the action, while dialog remains clear. The natural-looking video combines great color and detail, although black level is a little shaky at times. With a smart script, great chemistry between Gordon-Levitt and Willis, and hardcore action, it is no surprise that Looper is on everyone's list of top 10 movies in 2012.

I haven't seen this movie since it was released, and this new 4K scan was excellent. The disc has DolbyVision (HDR), and ONLY the disc as the streaming version is merely SDR. This elevates the UHD scan immensely, capturing those extra colors in spectacular way that you can't get from the streaming version. Audio was also excellent, sounding great on my 5.1 system, with excellent bass and crisp and clear dialogue.
