Looper is a uniquely entertaining sci-fi thriller, one that will keep you guessing.

Looks and sounds fantastic on blu-ray. If you have a decent a/v setup then you wont be dissappointed on that end. Rian Johnson's latest, Looper, is a time travel flick that plays on the dramatic possiblities of cause cause and effect. Imo it's a little much to openly demand your audience suspend all disbelief in how time travel works and just go with the flow, but I give him a pass based on the fact that the movie is really more about the characters than the science. This is where the film really shines and each person plays their part really well. It was nice to see Bruce Willis in a film that wasnt just another mindless action flick. That guy really performs in the right role. JGL is equally as impressive, even down to the way he mimics Bruce's mannerisms. The wring is really good and some pretty good action scenes help keep the pace going. The first time I watched it I though it was just okay, but upon a second viewing I enjoyed it much more as there is a fair amount of dark material I wasn't initially expecting. If you enjoy dramatic sci-fi I recomend giving this a shot.
