I particularly enjoyed this anime from the standpoint that the main character wasn't overtly confident or overpowered, nor was he the mild-mannered/unassuming hero you typically see. There was a good balance to his character. The storyline is interesting and easy to become interested in.

I purchased this complete series with no background knowledge. I am happy to say it was not a good series. I did not mistype. Less than two days after buying it, I finished a great series. I will not say what happens in the series. I watch much and can guess what will happen next often. With this series I rarely was able to guess what would transpire.

I'm extremely happy that the "Lord Marksman & Vanadis" anime series was released in english dialogue, not just english subtitles and that it was available on DVD, not just on Blu-ray.

This anime has a great story line that's heart throbbing and cry inducing. The ending could've been made better, but it's still a great buy for almost any anime and chess lover. Oh, and yes it's MA, but they never show anything more than what you'd see in a bikini, so I say that if you get the chance give it a shot.

As stated, for fans of fantasy, this was a very good series. It was a little heavy on fan service, but overall, an enjoyable watch. My only real complaint was that it was too short!

Somehow, you just can't help but love the awkward relationship between Lord Tigre Vorn and the War Maiden of Zicted, Elene. It's truly an amazing anime to have for your collection!

When I got this, I was looking for a little something to fill a void I'd had in getting some fantasy genre in me. This met my needs and so much more. I loved it!

Read the manga. Watched a few episodes online. Then Decided to buy the discs on a whim to finish watching the animation which closely follows the manga. Nuff said.

This is a great anime series with great animation, character development, story line and voice acting despite its 13 episode length.

Great short series. Lots of fan service, magic and fighting. Hope they come out with another season

Lord Marksman and Vanadis is a very good fantasy series with a good English dub.
