This is a good horror film from Clive Barker

Flawed Favorite

While flawed in many areas of plot logic and a questionable ending, the character of Nix is a favorite based on the potential horrors he evokes. Not a great movie but several memorable scenes makes this fun to watch.

Excellent psychological thriller!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is a fantastic horror/ psychological thriller. My wife and I love this movie! Written for the screen and directed by Clive Barker. First of all, I'm a huge Clive Barker fan, from his books, to his films, to his art work, love it all. And if you're a fan of HeIIraiser, Nightbreed, Candyman or his latest Midnight Meat Train, you'll love this movie. It's about the darker side of magic. The difference between being a real magician and being an illusionist. (Some people don't know there's a difference.) Great plot with a great cast, and great special effects. All around a great movie, keeps you thinking. I highly recommend it! Also, if you're a Clive Barker fan like myself, there are two movies in the Masters of Horror collection based off of two of his short stories, Valerie on the Stairs and Haeckel's Tale. Both are very good!
