While Lord of War is an intelligent examination of the gun trade, it is too scattershot in its plotting to connect. The 20-year arms dealing career of Queens, N.Y., outcast Yuri Orlov (Nicolas Cage) serves as a window onto the end of the Cold War and the emergence of worldwide terrorism. He finds himself reassuring his more ethically challenged younger brother, Vitaly (Jared Leto), while adeptly sidestepping the pursuit of federal agent Jack Lawrence (Ethan Hawke). The globetrotting arms dealer also pursues the woman of his dreams, supermodel Ava Fontaine (Bridget Moynahan).

There are many factual representations in this movie that I cannot give away without spoiling the movie, but it's one that holds those same truths without many people knowing they actually exist. Gun smuggling / reselling is real. Little is known about that side of the world, but this movie tells that untold story. While it may be a bit over-the-top, because it had to be made for Hollywood, the underlying aspects are real. You'll be intrigued you knew so little about how gun gets circulated and you'll also realize it's pretty dangerous too.

Typical Nicholas Cage performance. Not to good , not so bad.

It has those actors in it that made the movie make sense.

I thought the film could've had more action in it.

the story follows an arms dealer as he goes from continent to continent selling illegal weapons to foreign countries all the while being chased by the FBI. One of Nic Cages best roles. The story never lets up and it has a great supporting role from Jare Leto as Cage's brother.

The movie and 4K transfer itself is good. Best Buys packaging of movies is crap though
