I tested this system in my living room for at least a week. Image quality is fantastic on all 6 cameras, both day and night. The cameras have a decent zoom, nothing impressive. The main menu on the NVR is well organized. It takes a little time to become familiar with the different settings and options. The installed NVR hidden from view. So I use a wireless mouse, plus I connect the cameras to a POE switch. There is no option to turn off the spotlights, however if only motion detection is selected on a particular camera, the spotlights will remain off. The problem is that these cameras detect anything. I have only programmed person detection in defined zones and face detection at the front door. If you look at the photos, you can see that the areas are activated by changing the intensity of the lights and shadows, by the movement of a leaf, etc. So unnecessary notifications are received. I have programmed the motion detectors at 25% sensitivity. In conclusion, this system adds security to your home or business, but you will receive unwanted alerts.

Great system. Easy set up. Camera details are great. It was cheaper here than on the Lorex site. A friend helped with installation of cameras since he does that for a living. So was able to run a single cat-5 cable from each camera without additional parts to make the length.

The 2 stars are for the installers. Disappointed in the time spent reviewing my installed system. Also disappointed in the service received with my noisy dvr. A geek squad member told the noisy was normal for a system l have. I am not satisfied with the consistent low roaring sound. What will Best Buy do for me?

The guys did an awesome job installing the cameras very pleased with the product.
