This is my first security system I have purchased. Very clear vision from my experience so far. The 3 tb drive gave me about 15 days of constant 24/7 recordings. I enjoy the motion detection and deterrence lights which you have to set up yourself. Now that anyone cuts through my yard or drives by my house they set off the camera lights night or day just knowing they are on film has stopped all the foot traffic between the houses. There will some tweaking to do on your own which took me a couple of days. It comes with a safe search button which will show you all the alarm recordings that set off the system during a time frame you pick. When I get up in the morning and with a few clicks of the mouse I can enter a time period say the time I went to bed bed to the time I woke up and instantly get all the video that the motion sensors found. Which showed vehicles and people and forest animals on my porch. In my opinion it works a lot better with some ambient lighting at nighttime around the house and yard. I installed some dusk to dawn lighting fixtures around the house and yard for better recordings. This doubled the vision in my opinion. I have a 4k 65 inch tv it works very well with. However I think I will buy 4k monitor so I can leave out the tv. If you want to talk through camera speakers download the free Lorex app for your cell phone.

I had this system installed on 3/13/20. I was supervise how clear this camera shows at night, the wide angle is great. I am still playing around with the features. Good job lorex on making a quality product.

So far it's met my expectations. It was easy to install with all the right equipment.

I haven’t yet been able to fully set up my system, however, what I have has been living up to my expectations. The Smart Zone motion setup is working great. Had issues at times getting the mic on the camera to work. Speaker coupons on camera is pretty weak. Slight delay in app feed of video so I don’t think I will be able to use as intended to communicate in real time with those outside. It may work better when viewing video directly from the NVR. I haven’t been able to set up or test Apple Home kit or Alexa/Google smart features yet. Video quality is excellent. Quality of camera and system is excellent. Even the packaging is done with care. App is easy to use but need to configure alerts-get too many alerts for same motion detected. Some more Customization of app and alerts would be nice but need more time to comment on such. Haven’t tried location based alerts yet. I may want alerts while being home, especially at certain times of the day (ie motion alert at 1 am despite being home). Color night vision requires slightly more ambient light than I expected but is nice when it is on. I need to adjust position of driveway camera to decrease white wash of picture due to IR bouncing off of brick wall of side of house. I wish I would have bought and installed the mounting box to push the camera off the wall another 2.5” which would minimize this issue. I ordered 1 additional camera (wide angle vandal dome) that was on back order and just arrived today so I haven’t been able to add to system. I assume it will integrate just fine. I wish the software came with a detailed owners manual so I can fine tune the settings. Most items are intuitive but others need more explanation. FAQs on website helpful but don’t delve into the nitty gritty setting I’m interested in understanding and tweaking. Lorex MUST make a doorbell cam to integrate on the system. This is the only thing missing and would make the system perfect. All in all this is the best system I have been able to find and only a few tweaks and additions to the software (and offering a doorbell cam) would make this hands down the best on the market. That would make 5+ stars.

This camera does exactly what I was looking for. The clarity of the picture is superb. I get a view of my entire home. Very secure and the ease of use is good. I would recommend this item without any hesitation. The motion sensor provides great night vision and activate two LED lights that give great security when coming home.

If your handy and can run the ethernet wires throughout your home, this is definatley worth the money. It took me a day of work running the cables and setting thins up. The NVR is easy to use although it'd be nice to be able to support a keyboard, not just a mouse. The recording settings are highly customizable and easy to set up. The video quality is very good. Night color vision does require a bit a light to kick in otherwise the black and white night vision activates. For example, the street lights on my street are enough light to kick color night vision in, but the sides and back of my home would require some supplement light. The app which is used with this product is ok all be it a bit confusing to setup the cameras. It takes some adjusting to get the right balance of coverage for your camera views and what you want sent to you via notification alerts. The other nice feature is no requirement for any subscriptions or having some other company saving (and therefore having access) to my videos. Overall I would highly recommend these cameras.

I originally purchased a similar system direct from Lorex. HUGE mistake. Their customer service is awful and their help line is useless. I bought basically the same thing, from Best Buy this time, and it was very smooth. Installation was pretty easy. If you can hang a picture and set up a desktop computer, you can probably do this yourself. Great image quality on the cameras too. I dont like the lights. I thought (for some reason) these were going to be infrared / night vision. Instead they have lights on each camera that turn on when they sense motion. Otherwise I think this is a great deal for the money. We had Arlo cameras before this. These are better image quality, better made cameras, and you dont have to take them down to recharge them.

very easy to install, instructions very simple. comes with 6 cat 5 wiring that is each 100' this was not listed, glad it worked out. app works fine, alerts are great, just need to make sure the settings equal what you want or to many alerts. I would recommend this system, paid more than I wanted too, the value is there though. the cameras are white in color, same with the internal. plenty of storage space with the 3TB hard drive

The cameras for this system are quite good, very sharp images and nice deterrent features such as a siren, bright LED lights and a speaker/microphone. The Lorex home software is weak, especially on the Apple TV. I decided to directly hook up to my TV because of the poor support for Apple TV on a network. The NVR (network video recorder) has a loud fan, which when it is connected to power, even when shut down. Image quality is better than most security systems I've seen. The unit I bought as new had been sold to somebody else, and still had footage from the previous owner, so be careful. Not sure if it was Best Buy's fault or Lorex.

absolutely love them. very easy to use and set up. clear picture and 2 way talk works nice. I love that they work with an app so I can view them from anywhere I am.

I really like this system. Very high quality 4K video. Higher frame rate make video appear much smoother. Easy to set up. Running all the woes was only challenge. Highly recommend

After online research for weeks I decided Lorex had the best options and price. Originally I was going to by direct from Lorex but with continued research Best Buy had exactly what I needed and I like buying locally easier if there are issues .But there were none. Hardware on cameras like screws are easy to strip while setting up but other than maybe me over tightening it I am 100 percent satisfied. Of course I have had the system only a few weeks but clear pictures and video is great.

The picture is great. The cameras are strong and durable. Good quality. My only complaint is that there doesn't seem to be the night vision they are talking about in their description of the cameras. If it is too dark the light turns on and stays on all night. If I change the setting to color, you can't see anything because it is too dark. I have a blink camera that shows video in my pitch dark garage. That has real night vision. These cameras, although very nice, seem to not have a similar night vision. Too pricey to recommend unless they fix the night vision issue.

Bought this security system this month. Able to install without letting me call tech support. Pictures are vivid and very clear even at night time. Lights came with it much more makes the camera the best. I would recommend this camera in a heart beat.

Really like the app for the iPhone. The system is very sensitive. The pic quality is very good

believe me this is the best ever ever ever ever I still unbelievable how this camera is so clean picture and all function will buy 2 others kit for my family

Get a lot better picture than I thought it would little difficult to set up could have more options on the main menu but it’s a great picture
