Honestly not bad for the price. Start up and guide was easy installing was easy looks ok and isnt extreme loud like a small fan kinda...My only issue with it are the cords were short i live in a meduim apartment and i had to buy extensions so if this is for large home or apartment just know you'll need extensions. Also says 4k but even om my huge 4k tv doesnt seem like 4k could just be me though...App works can veiw from my phone with ease.

Specifications on Best Buy are misleading for this unit. Says it will do 4k resolution at 15 fps. While cameras are capable of doing this, the DVR is not and only capable of 7 fps. I found that 7 fps is not a smooth enough video and you can noticeably see the jittery motion. My DVR would not update to latest firmware. Called Lorex tech support 3 times to resolve with no success. DVR fan is very noisy as numerous others have commented. Video connectors on back of DVR are very tightly spaced and make connecting and disconnecting the BNC video cables very difficult. I am returning this unit for both the firmware update issue and the misleading specifications. I was able to talk to Lorex tech support on 3 occasions with little hold time which is a plus. I've read reviews for other comparable brands where talking to a live person was very difficult. I'm giving Lorex another chance and have purchased a comparable 4 camera digital system (IP with NVR) vs. this analog system.

Great system, zero issues so far.Picture quality is great. Setup was easy and the detection methods work really good. The only downside is when it detects a vehicle it keeps telling you about it with new notifications even when the vehicle is parked and nothing is happening.Other than that,I'm more than satisfied with it.

Great product. Easy to use and so far the app has been working great. Was expecting more detail in the recordings when I zoom in due to it being 4k cameras, maybe I just need to adjust some of the recording or display settings(unsure). I seem to use up the 2Tb faster than expected, so I need to look into adding additional space.

Old camera system failed. I purchase these solution in which was easy to setup. Connected the camera's and hooked up the system and was online within a few mins, the setup activation was super easy with the app anyone can do it. The quality is superb.

I am beyond please with this purchase. Highly recommend this product overall great. The only thing I do wish it had more storage. But I was able to upgrade the hard drive easily. The value price that I purchased was definitely worth it versus the Retail price.

Great system that is worth the investment for peace of mind. You can see very clearly at night and it will notify you of any movement. Phone is constantly ringing with notifications. Can literally be a leaf that falls and you will know.

I've had 2 prior Lorex systems and this one by far is the easiest to setup and use. The picture quality is great with the 4k cameras. The remote access app is pretty easy to use, much easier than prior versions. No complaints whatsoever!

Purchased when this set was on sale, easy to use, and set up, should have done more research cause I would have liked the audio, but for the over all viewing, set-up and cost, it was well worth it.

Bought this camera set for my commercial storefront and I must say the quality of the camera is really good. I was a little skeptical with the quality of the cameras given the price it’s sold for but when hooked up, we were really surprised at how clear the videos are for the cameras. Also these cameras are connected to the Lorex app which is user friendly and easily accessible to maneuver. The reason why I give this camera system 4 stars is because I’ve seen better quality cameras but you get what you paid for and I have no regrets with this purchase.

Excellent product, easy to install and has great coverage from where you hang them outside. You can zoom in on things too. Over all great product!

Great picture both on live feed and recorded. Super easy to install and was easier to set up. Was unaware that it was 8 channel. Now going to purchase more camera.

Very good product. It was a quick and easy installation. Excellent image quality and easy playback function. Large hard drive stores a week of video.

Love the system so far. Easy to use and exceptional quality. Great customer service. Not 5 stars because it occasionally sets off a false notification. For example I have it set to notify me at night if a person is detected in my front yard but it has falsely identified vehicles and sometimes nothing as a person. But it doesn't happen very often. Also, this is advertised as 15 fps at 4k (8MP). It isn't, it is 7 fps. You get 15 fps at 4MP or lower quality.

Set up for these was a breeze. The app helps walk you through everything and I was surprised as how quickly and painlessly we got the whole system set up and online. My company normally uses ADT for our business camera security systems but opened a location in a food hall which made ADT not practical. We opted to install this system to monitor our space and have found the app easier to use and more features than our typical set up. Plus the quality is comparable If not better all at a fraction of the price.

Cameras quality picture. Can read license plates. I tried a few other brands. Ring and swan. Swan was horrible and the ring spot light cameras are expensive and not wired had a lot of connection issues. My only complaint with the Lorex system is adjusting the motion zones. I block out an area that I don’t want it to detect motion and it still detects motion. I prob will call tech support and see if I can’t get the bugs out.

Easy setup. Solid video quality, a great alternative to an expensive security contract. Provides 24/7 monitoring of our facility electronic updates.

The camera quality is good. We had best buy install the security system. It just so happened that a week later the garbage truck damaged out maillbox. It was caught on video. We could not figure out how to send the video via email. We ended up having geek squad help us. Sending the video is very difficult due to size. Overall a good system except sending a section of the video that one would need to show proof of damage.

It's a great Surveillance system to start out with, for anyone who doesn't like to deal with technology. It's pretty much a plug n play system.
