Customers highly value the picture quality of the Vantage Add-On Indoor/Outdoor Wireless Security Cameras, with many praising the clear and crisp images, both during the day and at night. However, some customers experienced challenges with signal strength, particularly when obstacles like carports or trees interfered with the signal. The length of the power cable was also a concern for a few users. Overall, the positive feedback on image quality outweighs the negative comments regarding signal strength.

I only need these to watch my dogs when there outside. Until my neighbor across the street and one house down had kids ringing her bell and running repeatedly. So I figured that I would test how good they really were. Antenna was in my kitchen cabinet and they worked great easily 130ft with no line of site. Picture is of her door.

I really enjoy having the security of the cameras. The area covered is broad. Easy to install and setup. Although, missing instructions on how to record. Would like to know how to operate the unit fully without having to watch a video or chat with customer service.

I LOVE my Lorex security system! These were add-on cameras purchased to expand my 4 camera system. Thankfully, I purchased a Lorex DVR system that supported up to 8 cameras. Great product!

this camera works well I purchased it because of the app wherever you go you can watch your house the only advice I can give to you is that if you place a camera outside make sure there is nothing interfering with your signal like a aluminum carport or a tree or a shed it will not work I had to move my aluminum carport and I also purchased A signal box from their website for stronger signal it still wouldn't go through my carport everything is working fine no problems I will recommend this to anybody that needs to be viewing their home when they're not there works great

Very easy to set up, push 2 buttons and the camera is registered to the receiver. Connect the video cable out of the receiver to the back of your DVR or monitor.

Unreliable, grainy picture, failed after 4 months

I purchased this camera set for surveillance around my unattached garage. Immediately upon installation I found the image quality very poor. They were grainy and looked out of focus on both cameras even with 3 to 4 bars of signal strength. After a couple of weeks I noticed CAM2's frame rate dropped to 1-2 frames per second, again even with 3 to 4 bars of signal. Now, CAM2's picture freezes completely. Removing and applying power causes the image to update and be live for about 5 minutes, but then it freezes again. Removing the receiver antenna triggers the 'Out of Range' message, and replacing it causes the image to update and go live again, but 5 minutes later it freezes. Lorex has not replied to my emails regarding warranty repair and phone calls have been an adventure in being on hold.

I've just bought Lorex wireless cameras system recently, the system went down after a few weeks, and all I could see is blank no video cameras. I called them several times, more than 5 times to get help, but worthless, they kept promise to replace me a monitor as the warranty policy and let me have the tracking number within 2 days, but it's never happened, then I wanted to get my refund they just ignored it. My cameras system now is death because no monitor to control. What can I do now? With Lorex system that I paid close to $600.waiting for the trash can, wasted time and money. So, please do yourself a favor looks for different brands but not Lorex. You will never feel sorry later.

I have own this set-up for less then a year now, and thankfully I purchased the Geek Squad Protection plan. In the first three months a camera froze-up. (well I thought it was a camera) attempted to unplug the camera to reset it with no luck. Unplugged the wireless receiver. No luck either. Took it back and Best buy replaced the receiver. Now 6 months later one of the cameras just displays in Black and white. LOREX support doesn't exist. I contacted LOREX with the first problem and still haven't heard from them.

I purchased a Lorex ECO3 Vantage 8 channel 700 TVL 960H system several years ago. Customer Service from big box store was good. However shortly after the year warranty I had cameras failing every week. I had several tickets in to Lorex but not one of them was ever addressed other than the acknowledgement that they received my request for support. I called over 10 times and held for as long as an hour and no one ever picked up the call. I left numbers... no reply. I finally had to secure names from Corporate off the internet and contact them with emails and calls. Finally got a call from Lorex and they sent 6 new cameras and not one of them worked. They either had great day pic and hazy blurred useless night view or the camera lens had a horrible circle that obstructed the view or just a bad day and night image period. I reported it ASAP and heard nothing. I found a couple of spare cameras and used it for another couple of monnths with only 6 channels and then the DVR failed. I sent in repeated tickets but no response again. You might want to consider another brand from Best Buy other than Lorex. They apparently don't value customers or stand behind the product.
