I've had this couch for a month now, and have been loving it! It's very comfortable and the seats are on the firmer side. Some people may like this, some may not, so I urge you to try one out at a LoveSac store if possible, or try and find a couch that is described as "firm". That being said, you can always buy different cushions from LoveSac that are more plush, should you decide later down the road. The backs are more leaning towards plush and pillow like. You can also manipulate and rearrange the back cushions how you see fit as they are not attached permanently. The fabric seems to be incredibly durable, though not as soft as I'd like. I'm sure if I threw them in the washer, it would soften them up. The best way to describe this fabric is it's very much velvet or a stiffer microfiber. Assembly was a bit interesting, but not hard as you don't have to assemble things from scratch per-se (even simpler than IKEA stuff). It's kind of like making a bed, you pull the covers over the individual pieces and arrange them how you want, then simply lock them together with removable C-clamps. The ability to rearrange and make a totally different couch setup was the biggest selling point for me. There are couches and sectionals that can be arranged in limited ways, but not where you can remove a back or side entirely. On top of just rearranging things, you can add on later by buying new modules and pieces! Overall, I'm very happy with it. It's on the pricier side, but it's held up pretty well in it's first month.
