I watched this film after seeing previews of it from other movies. I would definitely give the film a chance if you have any interest in history or a romance film buff. Ruth Negga and Joel Edgerton play great performances.

This movie is absolutely wonderful. Highly recommended for young adults who have no idea of the struggle that our past generations faced in America. More than just a love story, this is actual history. Great film.

Well made movie, with excellent acting, of a true American love story of how their bond over came hatred, bigotry, prejudice, and evil during this period in the south.

Be prepared to experience several different emotions from beginning to end of the movie-from-a-true-story. We are reminded that some freedoms have come at a high price.

This was an inspirational movie about overcoming adversity in the face of change. Oh and it was a great movie.
