Superb selection of songs performed with feeling by Gregg Allman, backed by great musicians, and the production values associated with T-Bone Burnett.

With Gregg's passing last month, fans will be reaquainting themselves with his solo efforts as well as their favorite ABB releases and this is a great place to start. An excellent set of ( mostly) blues covers and produced by T Bone Burnett in his signature earthy style, "Low Country..." is a winner you can enjoy until we see the release of his final album "Southern Blood" sometime next month. Worth owning...RIP Gregg.

Even the the new songs sound like ol' blues tunes. All mixed together the whole thing is wonderful. I love albums I can listen to all the way thru' and this is one of them. I think it's my favorite solo album of his.

I've been an Allman Bros and Greg Allman fan my whole life and have all their albums so I bought this cd without listening to it before I purchased it. AWFUL lyrics and music, and the quality of the recording is about the worst I've ever heard, and I've been listening to recorded music for 50 years. I can't believe GA even ok'ed its release. I was going to the upcoming GA concert in Savannah, but now I'll save my $ since he will probably be playing songs from this cd. DONT'T BUY IT!
