Need a well placed stud

My biggest problem with this was that it was recommended to be installed on a stud only or with the provided anchors into cinder block. There are only 2 vertically placed and perfectly centered screw locations on the mount. This would be fine if stud's were conveniently located in the middle of rooms where one would install a TV. I only had one place where I could logically install my TV and the stud was not in the middle! I don't want to install my TV off-center. Given the TV I was installing was far below the maximum weight capacity of the mount, I ended up working with drywall screws I had already. The TV seems adequately secure. I think the mount would be much more useful if there was flexibility in how the screws can be placed horizontally so that it is easier to install on a stud. I will definitely invest the extra money in an articulating mount if I purchase another in the future.
